Strongest Necromancer System-Chapter 650: We’re In the Wrong Place
So as someone who had once fought against this power, Stella knew better than almost anyone else just how much effort Gina must have put in to nurture this gift. Right now, the blessing was still weak since Gina couldn’t use it properly, but with a few more years of practice, Stella knew that Gina would become a force to be reckoned with.
’No wonder the prince chose her to be the mother of his first child. She is more than fit for the role.’
Stella couldn’t say she hadn’t been skeptical about Gina when she first learned that Gina wasn’t a member of any royal family. Gina was going to be the mother of an Avaran Royal child, and the custom on Avaran was that the first wife of any prince was usually a member of Royalty belonging to one of the worlds surrounding them in order to boost the relationship between their worlds. At first, Stella didn’t think Gina was worthy of being the mother of Jason’s first child. But Stella didn’t dare to mention this to Jason or Gina since she knew it would be very disrespectful. But now that she had spent enough time with Gina, Stella was glad that she didn’t mention anything. Gina was different from all the Royal wives that Stella had met. Gina was tough and outspoken, and she had a rough and fiery personality that most princesses just didn’t have. But at the same time, Gina was also kind and understanding, and she was the sort of woman who would always stretch her hand out to a stranger in trouble. Those were very fitting characteristics for a royal woman, and Stella knew that Gina would make a good Queen someday. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Jason was sitting on the floor and watching Gina controlling the wind with a smile on her face, and he was about to fall to his back and join her when he heard a voice echo through his head.
’Help me~! You’re close, please don’t give up~! Help me~!’
Jason immediately sat up and looked around with a frown on his face. The girls turned to Jason curiously as they wondered what had happened, but Jason told them that it was nothing, and he used his fingers to massage his eyes and sighed in exhaustion.
"Babe... did you feel that?"
But Jason was shocked when Gina suddenly spoke up in confusion, and Jason turned around and asked Gina what she felt. Gina could tell that neither Jason nor Stella felt what she did, and she frowned as she stared up at the sky. There was a gust of wind that blew over Gina’s face, and then Gina felt another wind flowing over that one. But there was something strange about the wind, and Gina had to really concentrate before she noticed it again.
"That, right there! It’s like.... I can’t really explain what it is, but I feel something in the wind!"
Now, Jason was starting to get more interested, and he stood up and asked Gina to explain what she felt. Was it something related to her sage abilities? Gina nodded, and she got up and began to explain what she was feeling.
"I don’t know what it is, but I can feel a change in the wind when it passes over this certain area over there. The wind usually flows in constant ripples across the air, but when it gets here, there’s a change in the wind frequency, and then it returns to normal somewhere around there."
Gina tried to explain what she could feel as simply as possible while pointing up at the sky, and Jason looked up and stared in curiosity at the empty Riyad clouds. Anyone else would have said that Gina was simply seeing things because it didn’t look like there was anything there, but Jason knew better than to question the senses of a Sage. If Gina said that there was something wrong with the winds, then Jason was sure that there would be a good reason for that.
’Is it possible?’
Jason frowned as a strange thought crossed his mind, and Jason glanced to the side to look at the ocean once again. The vipers were still moving across the ocean to try and find the hidden city, but Jason could tell at this point that it would be nearly impossible to find it down there. Not only was visibility horrible, but Jason hadn’t felt any mana signatures at all since they went into the ocean. A settlement as big and magical as Atlantis would at least leave behind some residual mana in the space around it! So was it possible that they had been looking in the wrong place all this time?
"Stella, did anyone ever try to search the ocean for Atlantis before?"
Jason asked this question while staring up at the sky, and Stella answered that there had been a few people.
"I’ve heard about adventurers who went looking for the city, and one or two of them even claimed that they reached the city, but they had to turn around because it was too dangerous to get close."
"Have you thought that perhaps there’s a chance that those people were lying and they never found Atlantis at all?"
Stella turned to Jason with wide eyes, and she noticed that he was still staring at the sky, and Stella was able to pick up on what Jason was trying to tell her immediately! Stella looked up at the clouds as well, and she felt a sudden amusement bubble up from inside her. If Jason’s assumption was right, then this would be one of the funniest magical discoveries of the past century! An aquatic city floating in the sky? That doesn’t even make any sense.
Jason turned to look at Gina, and he saw the absolute seriousness on her face as she stared up at something he couldn’t see at all, and Jason decided that he was going to put his trust in Gina’s senses. Jason activated his Qi and told the girls to follow him. Both Gina and Stella quickly took off after Jason, and the three of them flew straight up in the direction that Gina had pointed out! Gina took the lead, and she continued to use her Sage ability to feel the direction of the wind as they moved, and Jason was shocked by just how high they already were! The platform that they had been standing on wasn’t even visible anymore, and Jason wondered how in the world Gina was able to sense a difference in the wind from this high up!
"Wait... this is it. This is the place."
Gina slowed down after they had flown up for more than five minutes, and Jason watched as she stretched her hand out towards the empty air. But Jason felt his eyes widen when Gina’s hand suddenly flattened against a surface, and the entire sky in front of them rippled like a body of water. Holy shit, there really was something here. Jason knew without a doubt that if he had come here alone, then there was no way he would’ve been able to find this place. Not only was there no magical signature to show that there was anything here, but Jason couldn’t even see any difference in the skyline at all! It was almost like someone had cast the perfect illusion over this region to make sure no one could ever find it using any physical or magical means!
Jason floated up and gently touched the surface in front of him, and he closed his eyes and poured some mana into it.
