Suddenly, I Am Rich-Chapter 345: An Update

Gray woke up later that morning feeling lighter than he had the night before.

He felt refreshed now that he wasn’t thinking about things anymore. It was also nice since that thing was out of his mind now that he offered help to them.

That was why even if he was getting up early in the morning, there was still a big smile on his face.

After getting up, he quickly went outside to prepare breakfast. The two kids were still asleep because of tiredness from yesterday’s shopping, so he had peace in the early morning. However, he was sure enough that in an hour or two, peace would disappear. So he decided to quickly prepare breakfast so he could take his sweet time after.

Gray went directly to the kitchen and opened the pantry to see what he could do. His forehead creased when he noticed that their stocks were low. There were just a few snacks left, and fresh ingredients to cook was almost gone.

"It seems like I need to restock already," he quickly shook his head.

He underestimated the appetite of Lily and Eli. Eli was quickly catching up on Lily’s big appetite. With it, Gray was like feeding two sinkholes of a stomach.

"But I get it... they need it to grow," Gray could only sigh.

Despite that, Gay makes sure that the two get their fair share of vegetables every day. He also strictly told the two to limit their chips and sweet intake, but he didn’t forbid them. The two needed to learn discipline on their own.

To compensate, Gray had bought some healthy snacks, as well as he made sure that healthy sandwiches, fruits, and vegetable cutlets were always in the fridge.

"I wonder if the vegetables and fruits in the fridge are also gone," Gray raised a brow and walked towards them. When he saw that there was barely any left, he just shook his head.

"I guess I really need to restock," Gray muttered. He was already thinking of going to the grocery store to buy some stuff that they needed.

’Also, it’s been so long since I actually visited and gave full attention to the first store,’ Gray slowly nodded as the corner of his lips curved into a smile. An agenda had already formed in his head.

’Alright, let’s go there and give a quick surprise visit.’ Gray chuckled. ’But before that, I shall make breakfast.’

Gray quickly whipped up something to eat for Sunday morning. He made some French toast, cut some fruit, and scrambled the last of his eggs and spinach.

After cooking, he set the table neatly. He already eaten first since he was hungry. When he saw that there were still no signs of the two, he let out a relieved breath.

"Good..."

He poured himself a cup of coffee and moved to the living room. He turned on the TV and lowered the volume to just enough for him. He tuned in a new movie and watched silently.

For a while, everything stayed peaceful. But not long after, soft footsteps echoed from the hallway. His gaze turned to the side, and in there, he saw Lily rubbing her eyes as she stepped out of her room. Her hair was still slightly messy.

"Brother Gray..." she yawned in a small voice.

"Good morning," Gray smiled. "Go eat. Breakfast’s ready."

Almost after saying that, Eli also came out from his own room. He was blinking sleepily as he glanced at Lily and Gray,

"Good morning..." he said quietly.

"Good morning, Eli," Gray replied gently. "Same thing to you. Go eat up."

With it, the two slowly walked towards the dining table. However, when they saw the food, their eyes widened and the sleepiness in their body left instantly.

"French toasttsss!" The two exclaimed out loud.

They quickly ran to their seats and ate happily. Gray just shook his head at that sight. As they ate, Gray took it as opportunity to take a bath and dress up. When he went out of his room again, the two was already done and the dishes has been cleaned.

"Alright, you two," Gray said as he walked towards the door, "I’m heading out for a bit."

"To where, brother??" Lily asked immediately.

"The grocery store," he answered. "We’re out of food so I’m going to buy, okay?"

"Already?"

"Yes, Lily," Gray laughed. "You two eat a lot."

Lily puffed her cheeks. "That’s because your food is good!"

Gray just shook his head. "Anyways, you two should behave. I won’t take that long."

"Yes!" Lily answered quickly.

"Don’t worry, brother Gray," Eli also nodded. "Be careful."

Gray smiled at that, then stepped out of the condo. He took Ubear and arrived at his grocery in no time. When he arrived, he was pleased to see a number of cars already parked outside. It means there were people shopping inside now.

"That’s nice to see," he muttered before stepping out and paying for the fare.

He quickly walked to the entrance, and the moment he stepped inside, a familiar voice called out to him immediately.

"Boss!"

Gray quickly turned his head to the side. In there, he saw Joel approaching him with a wide, friendly smile on his face.

"It’s been so long since I last saw you, Boss!"

"Hahaha, good morning, Joel," Gray greeted. "How’s the store?"

"It’s been pretty good." Joel laughed and quickly led Gray inside. "What took you here, Boss?"

"I’m planning to buy a few things for our stocks."

"Oh, right," Joel nodded. "Our produce has just arrived yesterday so everything’s still fresh."

"Good. That’s what I wanted to hear."

They began walking through the aisles together as Joel talked.

"By the way, our foot traffic’s has been nice lately, especially during weekends," he said. "We’ve been getting more regulars, too. The new managers are coordinating better now."

Gray nodded in approval. "That’s good. Keep up the good work."

"The delivery team’s been doing great as well," Joel continued. "They’ve been faster lately, and mistakes have gone down. There’s also more orders, especially during the afternoon to late afternoon."

"Really?" Gray’s gaze drifted toward the side area near the delivery section. His eyes slowly scanned the area when four bulky men caught his eye.

Gray chuckled when he saw that they still looked the same.

"Oh them boss? They’ve been working pretty nice. They all have their own schedule now and have been working regularly without missing any days."

That information put on a smile on Gray’s face. He was glad to know that Rome and his friends had taken this opportunity in a good way.

"Are they busy?"

"Not yet. Mornings like this are sometimes a little slow. During cases like this, we allow them to rest in the staffroom, but sometimes, they just want to stay outside.

"I see..." Gray slowly nodded. He smiled as the direction of his feet turned to them. However, before he could approach, all four of them turned around at the same time as if sensing something.

Just then, their eyes widened.

"Boss?!"

"You’re here!!!"

"We missed youu!"
