Sumatra's Greatest Fan-Chapter 140: Celestial Battery
Two water serpents were on its tail, bombarding it with a series of attacks. The Centinger retaliated with its artillery strikes while its body kept crashing into the cabin walls to break through.
A water serpent tunneled through its beck, poking in a wide hole. However, the Centinger promptly recovered. Thanks to the Quill, it was being supplied with a theoretically infinite amount of Prana.
That was why, despite being damaged constantly, it was able to recover quickly after. And since it was a Centinger, a Pranic Beast well-equipped to fight, it was hard to kill it, especially after its strength had been elevated to the peak of the Gold Grade.
Steadily, the Centinger moved through the Trailing Waves Battleship’s interior, chasing after the clues it found about the fleeing duo. These clues had been left behind by Eureur to purposefully divert it away, buying as much time as they could.
Two hours actually passed in such a fashion, as the water serpents fighting it made the Centinger waste as much time as possible. But soon, it had reached a cabin where the clues actually pointed towards, ’Made me waste so much time!’
’He needs to be killed as slowly and painfully as possible. As somehow, he seems to have overcome his earlier state of despair.’ It thought and used its centipede upper body to blast through the cabin door, only to see a cannon pointed its way...
"Shit...!" The Centinger cursed as the region brightened, for a burning shell had been launched at it, which cleanly targeted the spot where its centipede upper body was attached to its frog-like lower body and cleanly severed the two parts.
As if communicated beforehand, one of the water serpents coiled around the severed centipede upper body and retreated.
Prana surged at the wound, rapidly beginning to heal a new centipede upper body. It was then, unnoticed by the Centinger since it had lost its head, was a thick layer of ivory water covering the floor, feeling no different to water at the moment.
However, the moment Torq’s Prana flowed into it, the ivory water’s inertial state got activated, which prompted it to instantly turn into pressurised mist and cover up the room.
The pressure was high, as Torq had spent the past two hours worth creating as much of it as possible. The Inertial Waves in mist form pressed down upon the Centinger’s body, trying to crush it, for it wanted to assume its inertial state.
The regenerating centipede upper body was struggling to regenerate past a third of the neck, for the pressure was preventing its cell division. The Centinger struggled, gradually beginning to overpower the ambient Inertial Waves pressure.
It was then, a gap seemed to appear in the ambient pressure. So, the Centinger instinctively oriented its body so that the neck could finish regenerating through the open space that had appeared. And the moment its neck appeared, it could unleash its artillery strike to clear out the ivory mist.
But as the centipede upper body expanded along the open space that appeared as a result of its struggles and finally regenerated enough to sprout a head, it gawked in shock, noticing it was staring at its rear.
And that was when two rippling vapour cones drilled forward, parallel to each other, dexterously moved through the aid of psychokinesis as they cleanly destroyed the spikes growing along the sides of its neck.
That was when the Centinger noticed a thin needle poised right in front of its ass. And as if waiting for the two vapour cones to take action, it moved forward to vaporise a portion of the frog-like lower body’s rear.
Boom!
It had all happened at the same time. Its brain had just regenerated and had just fired off its signals when the process was already done. The powerful explosion from a Rippling Tsloch vapour cone plunged its centipede upper body right through the cave that had formed in its own ass.
Its neck had been pulled along the back of its body and then plunged into the ass. But it didn’t stop here, since the portion of the neck trailing along the back was still exposed to the outside. Which meant, an artillery strike could be launched through there.
Swoosh!
The ivory mist maintained heavy pressure while the two Rippling Tsloch vapour cones, after destroying the spikes that were growing on its back, changed directions to carve a wide groove across the back of the Centinger’s frog-like lower body.
What was the purpose of this groove, one might ask? It was to push the neck inside, which was happening in real-time, thanks to the ivory mist’s pressure. The moment the Rippling Tsloch vapor cones carved a portion of the groove, the respective portion of the Centinger’s neck was already lodged within it.
By the time the Centinger managed to figure out what was happening, its neck was already lodged within the fleshes of its back, which had regenerated to prevent the neck’s exit. As for its head? It was lodged deep within the intestines, fully stuck there.
To break free, the Centinger would have to unleash an artillery strike to blast its body from within and rely on its regenerative speed to recover. But for that, its spikes must grow on the neck first. However, the muscles of its back were pressing down upon the neck muscles, not giving any space for the spikes to grow.
Its own regenerative power was working against its escape, making the Centinger fully trapped. It still had its powerful legs, however, which were capable of leaping distances of dozens of metres. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
For this part, the water serpents had taken action from the get go, having punctured holes across the legs.
"FUCKER! This is for my people!" Came Inin’s shout through a reverberation from the mist in the region. From one of the water serpents, a whitish fluid sprayed out. This was instantly acted upon by the water pressure from the water serpent to be compressed to the limit.
And then, it clamped into the leg muscles of the Centinger and hardened into Gentle Coral with the same toughness as the ship’s hull.
The Centinger’s physical strength was enough to break out of it eventually, if it was just one or two of them lodged in its body. But here, dozens struck at the same time, riddling the legs with the Gentle Coral clamps that were lodged within multiple muscles.
The Centinger was fully immobilised now.
100...200...1876 Gentle Coral clams in total had been hammered into the Centinger across its body, preventing even a single muscle of it from twitching. No matter how powerful its regeneration was, Prana flow was completely cut off across different parts of the body.
’What...what the fuck happened?’ The Centinger was in a stunned state. Even though the Quill was influencing it to take action and was supplying it with as much strength and Prana it needed, the Centinger was unable to do anything.
And then, through the ripples of the fluids in its body, a message reached its mind space, ’This is that bastard’s voice!’
[Just because you elevate a Centinger to the Gold Grade doesn’t mean it’s as powerful as a Millinger. Let every Quill you’ve distributed across Sumatra know of this fact. Because from now on, you’re my battery!]
"This is how it’s done, right?" Eureur Pet muttered as she piggybacked Torq, so that the body of them could be protected by the Narlakk Pet. She placed her hand on the Centinger’s body, and upon seeing Torq nod enthusiastically, she activated a Skill whose knowledge she had received from Torq during their planning stages.
