Summoned As A Mere Nobody-Yet Possesses An SSS-Rank Ability-Chapter 245: Intense Pressure
Many lives were sacrificed to seal him. But Master—" Lyra looked at Nolan with absolute conviction, "—I know that you can defeat him. And I myself have grown stronger. I will fight by your side."
Suddenly—
SLAM!
The door burst open.
Damian stepped in, expression sharp and annoyed. "What was that massive aura a moment ago? You didn’t even bother hiding it."
Kelvin’s eyes flicked to him. "Oh? Even the Divine Dragon King of Heaven bows before a human now. And you too have taken on human form."
Damian cracked his neck, glaring. "So what? Why are you here, Fallen Archangel? If you’ve come to beg, then beg quickly. If not—"
A thin smile curved on his lips as the floor vibrated under his feet.
"—be gone. Or I’ll kill you myself."
"No... you misunderstand," Kelvin said softly, looking at Damian without a shred of pride left in him. "If this were before—when I was a full-fledged Archangel—you, Divine Dragon King, wouldn’t even dare speak to me like this. But I’ve fallen. I’m no longer the being I once was. If we fought now, you could kill me instantly."
His dark wings drooped.
"And your master..." Kelvin’s eyes shifted to Nolan. "Even when I was whole—an Archangel of the highest rank—I am no longer certain I could have defeated him. His strength has grown far beyond anything I imagined. So no, I did not come to fight."
Kelvin took a step back, hands raised.
"I came only for one thing. The Iron King Demon Core. If you are willing to give it... I will take it quietly."
"Well, I’m not giving it," Nolan said plainly. "So are you leaving? Or do you want me to make you leave? Because I’m still only wearing a towel, and this is embarrassing."
"Ah... you’re surprisingly fast to threaten someone," Kelvin said with a strained laugh. "Very well. I’ll go. But remember this—when the Demon Lord returns, you will die. He will be one hundred times stronger than before. And he now commands five Generals. Each of them will also be a hundred times stronger. Even you may struggle."
Nolan raised a brow. "I could just stop time and kill them all."
Kelvin shook his head slowly. "You misunderstand what it means to become a Chrono God. Dominion over time... has rules. Against certain beings—those steeped in divine or demonic essence—you cannot simply erase them. When the time comes, you’ll understand. You will have to face them head-on."
Nolan stepped closer. "Fine. Then explain this—how did they suddenly become a hundred times stronger? What are the demons planning?"
Kelvin gave a cold, hollow smile.
"It’s simple. Sacrifice."
He lifted two fingers.
"For one General to ascend, two thousand full-grown demons must give their lives. All of their strength—every drop—is fed into the General’s body. And that surge increases their power by a hundredfold."
Celia and Linda gasped. Lyra growled. Damian’s aura flared with fury.
Kelvin continued, voice echoing:
"It is a brutal, merciless ritual. But effective."
Nolan smirked. "Effective? Don’t make me laugh. You demons think you’re smart, but you’re idiots. Weak idiots. Maybe I should just visit the demon realm myself and wipe out your entire population."
He pointed at the glowing portal behind Kelvin.
"So go on—open it. Tell me if I can follow."
Kelvin sighed. "You ask politely... but no. I won’t take you there. I value my remaining life far too much."
He hovered back toward the portal, shadows wrapping around his form.
"Farewell... human."
Kelvin turned, wings folding as he stepped into the swirling vortex.
"Master, allow me to strike him down!" Damian roared, lunging forward.
"No." Nolan raised a hand. Damian froze mid-step.
"Let him go."
The portal pulsed—
BOOM.
—and closed, leaving only a faint echo of divine darkness in its wake.
As the portal closed with a heavy thud, the air instantly became calm.
But Celia and Linda were still on their knees, breathing hard, trembling.
Even though Kelvin had vanished, the pressure he left behind—the remnants of a fallen Archangel’s divine power mixed with corrupt demonic energy—still clung to the room like thick fog.
Nolan glanced at them, concerned.
"What’s wrong?" he asked.
Lyra stepped forward, her expression serious.
"Master... even though Kelvin is gone, his aura lingered. That pressure is not something normal elves or demi-humans can withstand. They were trapped between divine and corrupted power. Their bodies aren’t built for that."
As Lyra explained, Celia and Linda finally collapsed completely, fainting.
Nolan clenched his jaw.
"Damian," he ordered.
Damian nodded immediately, walked over, and gently lifted both girls—one on each arm—before placing them carefully on Nolan’s bed.
"Master," Theros said softly, noticing Nolan’s clenched fists and tight expression. "You look... frustrated."
"Yeah," Nolan murmured, rubbing his forehead. "I really am."
He turned away and went into his room.
A moment later he stepped out again, fully dressed.
He let out a long, controlled breath.
"I should have killed Kelvin. I could have killed him. But... I didn’t." His eyes sharpened. "Next time we meet, I won’t hesitate. That’s a promise."
Damian stepped forward.
"Master... if you wish to go to the demon realm, I can find a way. It’s forbidden, but there are paths—dangerous ones—that I can open."
"Not right now." Nolan shook his head. "But the demons crossed a line the moment they targeted the dwarves and came after me. One day soon... I’m wiping out their entire existence."
He looked up.
"And Lucifer... he was really the first Fallen Archangel?"
Lyra folded her arms, her tone grim.
"Yes. Lucifer was once the most loved of all Archangels. But he became greedy—too hungry for power. The Almighty tried to guide him back, gave him more than enough love, more chances than any other. But Lucifer wanted to be above all. That was when he was cast out of the sacred realm."
She stared at the floor.
"After he fell to earth, he built the demon realm. He created hell. And that’s where everything changed."
Nolan nodded slowly.
"Then when the time comes... we kill every last one of them."
Damian straightened.
"Master... you asked earlier if I could fight the Demon Lord if he resurrects."
"Yeah," Nolan said. "Be honest. Can you defeat him if he returns one hundred times stronger?"
Damian bowed his head.
"If the ritual truly boosts him by a hundredfold, then... even my pure divine form would not be enough to win. I can injure him—seriously, even fatally—but outright victory? No."
Lyra added, "The Demon Lord is not an ordinary demon. He is the child of Lucifer and the first Demon Queen. His potential was monstrous even before the amplification ritual."
Nolan frowned.
"Then what about the Generals? If they also become a hundred times stronger... can you take them?"
Lyra didn’t hesitate.
"Yes. Master, if you command it... I will kill every single one of them. Even if they rise a hundred times stronger. I will tear through them—no matter what."
Even Lucifer—yes, Lucifer himself—even after falling from grace, had clawed his way back to immense power. But even that power was beginning to wane. If Lyra and I worked together, we could kill him, Damian said, confidence sharpening his tone. And we have to do it before the current Demon Lord—the one sealed by the previous Hero—resurrects.
"If the demons gather enough souls... especially demon souls... they could make him a hundred times stronger than before," Damian continued, his expression darkening. "If that happens, even I might not be able to stop him."
Nolan scoffed, leaning back with a grin that looked almost dangerous.
"Really? Nah. I’m not doing any of that. You two should stand down. Honestly, it sounds fun. They can sacrifice their kind all they want—I couldn’t care less." Nolan’s smile sharpened. "I just hope the Demon Lord puts up a good fight. Because when it’s over, I’m taking his head as a trophy."
Before Damian could respond, Celia’s fingers twitched. She slowly stretched her hand upward.
Nolan immediately turned. "She’s waking up."
Celia blinked several times before sitting up, still dizzy.
"Master... what happened...?"
"You passed out," Nolan said casually. "You couldn’t handle the pressure that fallen Archangel was leaking. Your body just shut down."
"Oh... is that so...?" Celia said, rubbing her forehead.
Beside her, linda also stirred, stretching her arms before letting out a soft groan. Her eyelids fluttered open, and she slowly rose to her feet.
"Huh...? I fell asleep...?" linda murmured, confused.
Nolan stepped forward, a mischievous smile spreading across his face.
"Well? Were you asleep?
"For how long...?" Linda asked as she slowly stretched her body.
Nolan replied casually, "Well... let me just say it’s been forty minutes."
"Forty—!? Master, forgive me!" Linda straightened immediately. "I told you I wanted to be strong enough to stay by your side... but I still fell asleep. It won’t happen again!"
Nolan gently tapped her forehead with a small smile.
"Don’t stress about that. It’s fine. You don’t have to become stronger just to stay by my side. You’re perfectly fine the way you are."
