The question hung in the air for a while, heavy with expectation.

Carlotta blinked several times, looking to the side as she tried to think of the best way she could answer the question without sounding incompetent.

Depending on how complex she made it sound, she was certain she could impress Kai and then potentially get praises for it as well.

Lyra gave her the side-eye, already reading her mind in that moment. But she chose not to speak, and instead crossed her arms and allowed the scene to play out, waiting for the Witch to slip up.

Finally, Carlotta managed to figure out a way she could present the information to her Lord.

"Please allow me to explain the process, Lord Kai." She began, her head slightly bowed from the request.

"You may." Kai granted her the permission she sought.

Slightly opening her eyes, she tried her possible best to display a serious, administrative look on her face.

"Before you left, you assigned to me the role of taking care of the dungeon. I could not be any more grateful when I took notice of the multiple experience points you were letting me take just so I could complete the quest."

She placed her hand on her chest, emphasizing her dedication.

"Firstly, I began by updating the First Floor using the EXP you gave me, which was of course the more important floor in the entire dungeon. It was where you, My Lord, spend most of your time. I had to make it look good, fitting for a Supreme Ruler such as yourself." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Her speech continued, her voice gaining confidence.

"As such, using the EXP, I added the Tower, separating it from the land you saw outside. Though my vision for the place far outweighed this, the dungeon, for some reason, took all the EXP I had planned to use and acted out on its own. It proceeded to add several more floors later on. If I am not mistaken, I do believe we have four more floors added to the existing four we already had."

She paused for a breath.

"From thereon, I supervised as the dungeon released monsters, appearing before your throne, the Imps. I refused to act without your permission regarding their deployment, so I allowed them to stay outside the castle until you returned."

"Was that all?" Kai asked right after.

Carlotta looked to the side, thinking hard.

"I am afraid so. While I did rebuild the castle, I also made sure not to touch any of the existing floors without your permission."

’I see. So she refurbished the main castle that had always been the First Floor but added land to make it bigger, which created the City the system informed me about. And I guess the killing of players and the dungeon upgrade was what led to the dungeon leveling up to a B-Rank and adding extra floors automatically.’

Kai remained calm, his eyes solely on Carlotta.

He suddenly stood to his feet.

"You have done well. You acted wisely and waited for my return. That is an action I can praise all the more. Come. Let me give you a reward."

Shock etched on Lyra’s face almost instantly as she watched Carlotta smile and giggle before skipping towards Kai like a schoolgirl.

When she got there, she held out her hand, her cheeks beet red and beaming with anticipation.

"Give me your hand."

Carlotta obeyed without a second’s delay.

As she stretched forth her hand, Kai held it firmly.

Slowly, his body got enveloped in a glowing purple aura, which would then proceed to spread towards Carlotta, flowing from his hand up into her arm.

’Mana Transfer, as most would call it. I remember the game saying something about doing this to your summon before joining a guild. It was supposed to help increase your summon’s bonds and strength, but even more, it said something about it being a sort of reward as well.’

Carlotta was firstly unmoved by it, watching curiously as the mana seeped through her veins and into her system.

But then—

Bam!

She dropped to her knees instantly, one hand clapping between her thighs with her head lowered and her black hair falling to the front to cover her face.

"Are you alright?" Kai looked at her, confused by the sudden collapse. "If it is too much for you, then I can—"

"No, My Lord... I am fine. I promise."

Her voice was trembling violently.

’She doesn’t look okay. I will stop if I notice anything off. Is it painful? Is the mana too concentrated?’

"Y-yes~"

A small, high-pitched voice left her lips as she began to rub her thighs together frictionally.

"Ah~ ahh~ L-Lord Kai’s power... it is inside me~"

Kai froze.

"Oh Lord of the Dungeons... this feeling is amazing~ oh shit~ OH SHIT~ OH FUCKING SHIT~~!!!!"

Kai quickly withdrew his hand as if he had been burned.

’What the fuck was that?’

Immediately she felt his hand leave hers, she looked up at him. Her cheeks were completely flushed red, her eyes were glazed over, and her face seemed like someone who had just gone through multiple orgasms in the span of ten seconds.

Kai could easily tell this after seeing the saliva trailing from the side of her lips.

"L-Lord Kai, is there a problem? Please... do not stop..." Carlotta asked, panting and huffing with every word, her body still shivering from the aftershocks.

It didn’t help that Lyra was basically crashing out where she stood, grinding her teeth against one another so hard it sounded like stones breaking as she watched the lewd scene.

"It is nothing." Kai quickly replied, clearing his throat loudly to dispel the awkward atmosphere. "I have a task I would like for you to handle."

"A task?" Carlotta stood to her feet on shaky legs. "And what would that be, Lord Kai? As your soon-to-be wife, please be rest assured that I would carry it out no matter the difficulty."

’She is still on about this?’

"I would like to visit the girl in her chambers."

"Oh, if that is the case, I can accomp—"

"No. That is not necessary. What I do want from you is to gather all the monsters on all the floors onto the First Floor. Tell them the Shadow of Victims would like to have a word with them shortly."

"That can be done, My Lord. Leave it to me." Carlotta bowed her head, though she still looked dazed.

Then, Kai turned his gaze toward Lyra.

"Lyra."

"Yes, My Lord." Lyra responded sharply, trying to ignore the smell of pheromones in the room.

"Go to all the floors we have right now in the dungeon and observe them. I would like a detailed report on what you think makes them different, and what they can be potentially turned into."

’I can see this from the system’s dungeon layout, but that only has so much information I can go on with. If I want accurate data, then I see no better way than with eyes on the ground.’

Lyra bowed her head.

"It will be done."

"Good. I will take my leave now."

With that, Kai moved from the throne, the dark mist leaking from his body with every movement he made.

He then slowly walked from his throne, all the way to the exit, and then he was gone from sight, heading towards the guest quarters.

Lyra sighed deeply once he was gone.

"I can barely understand what My Lord is thinking. Is he preparing to attack the Red Players? He did seem rather upset at the mention of their name. Tsk, it is all that crying human’s fault."

During her minute of mumbling to herself, she looked to the side, where she could see Carlotta had fallen back to her knees.

Her hips were moving strangely on the ground, and Lyra could hear the small moans echoing from her side as she savored the residual mana in her veins.

"You really are a disgusting woman." Lyra gave her the usual disgusted look.

Instantly, Carlotta looked to her with a lustful, messy smile on her face.

"If you mean being disgusted for Lord Kai, then I will take it. You are just jealous because you didn’t get to taste his mana. Oh dear, I think I might have wet my panties."

"Urgh!!!"

Lyra groaned, turned around, and walked away before she was tempted to kill her colleague.
