Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts-Chapter 987: Actions
Chapter 987: Actions
Selena stretched her body while yawning. "Mhmmm."
"What’s wrong, Selena? Are you sleepy? Nathan should be coming back soon. He’s not the type of someone to break his promise." Sera just finished pouring her hot milk. "Want some?"
"No. It’s fine." Selena scratched the top of her head while grabbing a cup to get some water. But when she was about to grab a cup, she noticed a piece of paper near the door. "Hmm? A letter? Are you seeing this?"
"Yeah?" Sera was confused and moved closer to know what was going on.
Selena first looked around, wondering if someone had broken into the house. They weren’t supposed to receive mail after all.
When Selena checked the letter, she realized what was going on.
"Hmm... The Divine Hand has made their move. So, they’ve informed us about it. It seems to be Nathan’s arrangement." Sera squinted her eyes, reading it carefully.
"Yeah." Selena thought for a moment. "Let’s tell Flora and the others about this."
"Sure."
They both hurriedly fixed their appearances and headed to Flora and the others, informing them about the Divine Hand movement.
Flora rubbed her chin while saying, "We should inform my family right away."
"Fair enough. They have made the medicine. My grandfather is not involved in the project anymore, so it’s best to let His Majesty know." Noelle nodded in agreement.
"Shouldn’t you two inform your teacher as well?" Alavenya asked. "Sage Leyfon is the representative of the Frexia Academy, while the Pope is the representative of the Holy Kingdom. They’ve announced they’ll work together to fight the Divine Hand after all."
Selena pondered the question before rejecting the idea. "No. It’s better to just inform the royal family. The Frexia Academy has their hands full with the new curriculum due to the ash cloud. And Iris has just been enrolled not long ago, so I don’t want to get her involved.
"Meanwhile, the Holy Kingdom’s role is much more important on the border, considering they’re the vanguard against the aliens."
"According to my teacher, the aliens have become even more uncontrollable. Their number and strength have increased. Come on, you have experienced it personally since we just returned from there a few days ago." Sera agreed with Selena’s opinion.
"All right." Alavenya shrugged.
"For now, I’m going back to the palace." Flora stood up. "Do you need anything else?"
"No. You can inform them first. If Nathan were here, he would probably not want us to show ourselves because it would alert the enemies. Hence, just make us the envoys to give them information and let them take care of the problem first. Once the situation has gone out of control, we’ll do it directly... or maybe just wait until Nathan returns." Selena pointed at Flora while looking at Noelle. "You should accompany her."
"Someone has to remain here, then." Noelle glanced at Alavenya.
"No. It’s fine. If we’re informed like this, I’m pretty sure Nathan has also gotten the information since he’s the direct link, unlike us."
"Sure. Let’s go, Noelle. They should begin their meeting soon, so we should go there immediately."
Noelle nodded and accompanied Flora directly to the capital.
As Flora said, the meeting had begun. The king and all the ministers sat together as they discussed all the problems within the kingdom.
However, their discussion was interrupted when Flora suddenly opened the door.
"Father!"
"Flora? What are you doing here?" Julius stood up. Considering Flora had lost her right, it was best for her not to be seen in this hall, lest they think Flora wanted to return to the battle, considering a lot of ministers had pledged their allegiance to their own prince or princess.
Flora glanced at their expressions first. Instead of saying anything, she approached her father with a grim expression.
The king frowned. He wanted to push her away, but it didn’t look like Flora was bringing a small matter.
When she approached him, he leaned down, listening to what she had to say.
She whispered a few things, which made Julius’ face contort. The ministers didn’t look this friendly, wondering what Flora had just told him.
A moment later, the king raised his hand. "Albert, Kevin. You two go with my daughter right now. She’ll tell you about it and you do your best to assist her."
"Understood." The two ministers were oblivious but still acknowledged the order.
Other ministers looked at them suspiciously, but Julius waved his hand down while saying, "Those two should be enough to handle the problem. It looks like there’s a problem in the Liaystian Kingdom. Anyway, let’s continue with the meeting."
Once the king mentioned another kingdom’s name, they realized it wasn’t important for them. Only domestic affairs could have some impact on their positions. Meanwhile, those international problems wouldn’t give Flora much since the other kingdom usually took the credit, not them.
That was why, no matter how serious it was, it wasn’t a big deal for them and the princes or princesses they served.
Outside, Flora whispered quietly, "You two must have heard about the Divine Hand, right?"
Albert looked surprised. "Yes. I am the one in charge of this matter after Duke Sullivan leaves his position."
"What’s going on?" Kevin tilted his head in confusion.
Flora raised one finger. "There was an attack from aliens in the human body happening in the Liaystian Kingdom.
"It looks like the Divine Hand, who has been hiding this whole time, finally makes their appearance again.
"Minister Albert. I want you to take care of our special forces to deal with it. And how about the medicine?"
"Everything is ready. We have made about 2,000 medicines."
"Distribute them to the academies and, if possible, go to other institutions as well. It will be bad if they get summoners, since it will just make the aliens stronger. The one we discovered was a normal human, and it had the strength of a juvenile class. If it’s a human..."
"Ah. A juvenile mutant... No, it might be beyond a mature class... One is not a problem, but if there are tens, no, hundreds of them, it will be a huge problem."
"Yes." Flora nodded and turned to Kevin. "Minister Kevin. I want you to handle the diplomatic matter regarding this case. My team will go there personally. We have been preparing for this under a direct order, so we just need your cooperation to make everything smooth."
"I understand."
