Super God Grandmaster-Chapter 87 - 83 A Big Grasshopper
Chapter 87: Chapter 83: A Big Grasshopper
Chapter 87 -83: A Big Grasshopper
Ye Chen followed behind Yu Yun.
“Why are you following me when we agreed to split up?” Yu Yun said.
“How could I abandon you for the sake of your sister? If anything happens to you, how can I explain to her?” After all, this girl’s martial arts skills were much better than his.
“Don’t think I’ll be touched just because of this.”
Suddenly from the sky, a huge creature flew down. It opened its mouth and spat out two fireballs, setting the surrounding trees ablaze. Ye Chen quickly stepped forward to confront the Winged Dragon, shouting, “Go ahead, I can handle this.”
However, with his poor martial arts, how could he deal with such a gigantic Grasshopper, ten feet tall, an enlarged version of a grasshopper?
Yu Yun flew back.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m afraid it’ll eat you.”
The two worked together to drive off the grasshopper, but the following hunting dogs rushed up. They had no chance of escape and were entangled in no time. Ye Chen regretfully said, “See, I told you to leave, but you refused. Now, no one can run away.”
“Is that my fault? If you had learned martial arts properly, and could deal with that grasshopper, I would have stayed!”
Several men had surrounded them.
“These two know the martial arts and spells of the Fairy Demon World.”
“Could it be them who let those people go?”
Ye Chen quickly defended, “Do you think it’s possible? We’re just two kids, how could we have such abilities? You’re overestimating us.”
“I get angry just hearing about the Fairy Demon World. Capture them,” Xishan Gui ordered.
“Hey, be gentle, she’s still a girl after all!” Ye Chen said.
“You’re so chivalrous. You’ll be the first one to feed the Demonic Spirit.”
Although Yu Yun knew martial arts, there was no way she could take on these guys.
Ye Chen was stared down by two men who looked like black bears. He threw a few punches at them, to no effect, and muttered, “Now I know why we should carry swords.”
With a kick, Ye Chen was sent flying and was immediately grabbed.
Ye Chen shouted, “Hey, don’t break my arm! The Demonic Spirit won’t want it if it’s broken.”
“So, you do acknowledge the Demonic Spirit.”
Even though Yu Yun struggled a few times, she was soon captured as well.
“This little girl, she is quite troublesome.”
Ye Chen leaned over and said, “Could you please not bully her?”
“What do you want to do! Want to be a hero?” Xishan Gui yelled.
Ye Chen quickly backed away.
The two hunting dogs, taller than a human, were licking their tongues. They didn’t dare move.
Being captured again, Ye Chen murmured, “See, we could have escaped, but you insisted on making trouble. If only a few of us had escaped, they wouldn’t have cared. Now you see the consequences, get ready to feed the Demonic Spirit.”
“Can you stop nagging?” Yu Yun said.
“You’re just like your sister, overconfident, thinking you can do whatever you want,” Ye Chen said.
“Move faster, unless you want to know what it feels like to be torn apart by hunting dogs,” one of the minions shouted.
Ye Chen promptly shut up.
Once again thrown into the large iron cage, they were now joined by about ten others.
They had been locked back into the iron cage and those people left again. The night was quiet.
Yu Yun also quieted down, sitting on the ground, not saying a word.
Ye Chen muttered, “It’s over, this time it’s really over. We’ll definitely become feed for the Demonic Spirit. Turned into zombies.”
Yu Yun seemed to have worn herself out after a day of hard work, and seemed a bit tired. She closed her eyes to sleep.
Ye Chen looked outside and still squalled, “Isn’t there anything to eat? I haven’t had lunch yet.”
“You can still run that fast without food?” a man walking a large monster came over.
“Running for my life, of course I have to hurry.”
“There’s nothing to eat. If you don’t want to be beaten, go to sleep.”
“If we starve to death, the Demonic Spirit won’t appear and your leader won’t let you off.”
“Still threatening us. Looks like you really have a death wish.”
Suddenly, one of the fellows said, “Forget it, let him brag for another day. I’ll go over there to see if there’s anything to eat.”
Surprisingly, they did bring some food over, which took Ye Chen by surprise.
Ye Chen said, “Everyone, eat something and have a good rest. Let’s see if there’s any other way out tomorrow.”
The night had grown darker, and everything around was quiet.
Strange animal noises came from the woods.
Ye Chen fell asleep, not knowing how much time had passed.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang that woke everyone up. Ye Chen lifted his head and said, “Could it be the people from the Fairy Demon World coming to save us?”
But except for the loud noise, seeing a heavy smoke, and smelling a strong scent of sulfur, there was no other movement or fighting sounds, which made Ye Chen somewhat incredulous.
Yu Yun said, “They have blasted open the cliff.”
Ye Chen recalled how those people were burying explosives at noon, and he asked, “So we are really going to be offered up as bait?”
“Not sure, even if they really managed to blast open the cliff, they still have to break open the Sealed Door.”
“That’s easy, just a blink of an eye’s matter.” Ye Chen murmured, “It’s over, it’s truly over this time.”

Xibai was not captured.
Ye Chen began to pace, growing slightly anxious.
“Stop pacing around, will you?” Yun’er was annoyed.
“Hey, aren’t you worried? By tomorrow morning, we are to be offered up, today is our last night.”
“You’re the one facing your last night, not us!”
“Why hasn’t the group from the Fairy Demon Domain come yet? Did they decide to abandon us?” Ye Chen blurted.
“Can you please stop spouting a bunch of useless crap?” Yu Yun fell back to sleep.
“You really can sleep at a time like this.”
“Then what can we do? You can’t get out, what else can be done, rest well, there might be a chance tomorrow.”
“You think those people are going to give us an opportunity to escape tomorrow!”
“Like a monkey, jumping around doesn’t help anything. Better get a good night’s sleep and conserve your energy.”
“Fine, you’re the tough one.” Ye Chen sat down, this sudden realization made his thoughts run rampant, he can’t possibly die here, he has yet to avenge his mother. He can’t die just like that, he just can’t.
There was a blast. The most anxious was the Evil King Gao Ba. He ran out, shouting, “It didn’t collapse, did it?”
Yin Jue ran back and reported, “No collapse, that’s indeed the entrance to the Sealed Door. Just another two hours, and we can clear away the fallen rocks. Once these rocks are cleared, we can see the Sealed Door.”
Gao Ba nodded and said, “Great, clear away these fallen rocks as quickly as possible. We mustn’t let them collapse.” He was a bit excited. It was already midnight, and despite spending the whole day killing, he had not rested, but now he was full of energy.
Xishan Gui also approached.
“How are the kids doing?”
“Twelve or thirteen were captured.”
Feeling somewhat relieved, Gao Ba said, “Watch them closely, do not let them escape once again. I don’t want to be searching for them when we need them tomorrow.”
Xishan Gui nodded, saying, “I’ve ordered people to keep an eye on them. They won’t escape again. We absolutely won’t allow them to escape. Do we need to capture any more kids?” For these fourteen or fifteen kids, he had been on the run all night.
“That’s fine, watch these kids, let your men rest. If not enough, we can send people to catch more tomorrow.”
Xishan Gui nodded again.
Gao Ba called Yin Jue over, saying, “Yin Jue, get these people to hurry up and clear the rubble. Once it’s cleared, let me know. As soon as we see the Sealed Door, we will plant the explosives. We must strive to open it as quickly as possible.”
Yin Jue nodded.
“Has Jiu Jue returned yet?” Gao Ba asked Xishan Gui.
Jiu Jue’s voice came over.
“How is it?”
“Hmm, just descended.”
“Ready?”
“Hmm, ready. Don’t worry, we have buried the explosives. The people up the mountain get the signal, it can be blown open at any time.”
“Ok, don’t rush. I’m going to let them taste our toughness tomorrow.”
Jiu Jue said, “I heard that people from the Fairy Demon Domain are also here.”
“Yes, I’m going to make them admire us helplessly.” Gao Ba said.
“Rest assured, the water flow will surely be powerful enough.”
“Alright, you guys have worked hard. Everyone make most of the time to rest, tomorrow we are going to have a great fight.”
The disciples of the Fairy Demon Domain utilized the cover of the night to walk another four hours or so. The path was getting harder and harder to tread on. They unknowingly reached midnight. Their disciples were somewhat sleepy. If they continued this way, they’ll have no energy tomorrow to fight against the Evil Domain and the Demon Domain.
Qiao Fanfeng promptly proposed that they should stop to rest.
Guo Mingyu agreed with Qiao Fanfeng’s suggestion and stopped for a break. He glanced at the surroundings, concluding it was not an easy spot for ambush. Even if they lit a fire, they would not be trapped.
Guo Mingyu called for Lou Xuancheng, who was in charge of logistics, to prepare for a rest.
While they were preparing to rest, a loud blast was heard in the distance. In the quiet night, that loud blast was incredibly clear, like an earth-shattering split.
Wei Chiqing was panicked and said, “Could they have bombed open the Sealed Door?”
“Impossible! At noon, those craftsmen just reached us, indicating that they couldn’t have dug through so quickly,” Lou Xuancheng said.
Guan Yi also agreed with Lou Xuancheng’s statement: “Right, those people just fled at noon. It’s hard to say whether they were all captured back or not. How could they open the Sealed Door so quickly?”
Guo Mingyu fell silent for a moment, feeling that what they said made sense, but then how to explain that blast?
Qiao Fanfeng said, “Could they have run out of patience and decided not to bother digging, but to blast it open directly?”
Guo Mingyu looked up at Qiao Fanfeng, and said, “That could be very likely.”
“Blast it open?” Wan Shatong, the Sect Leader of Qingxuan Sect, asked in confusion.
Guo Mingyu quickly called his two disciples and ordered, “Hurry up and send the Winged Dragon over to check it out. Be careful not to be discovered.” He has already noticed that several disciples have not returned yet. But they must send someone to take a look and find out exactly what is going on.
Soon, his two disciples, along with a few others, set off.
