Super Spender-Chapter 506 - 500: Anomaly of Zero (Part 1)
Chapter 506: Chapter 500: Anomaly of Zero (Part 1)
Honestly, Finn Lewis had to be pretty badass to not be scared by what had just happened. You don’t believe me? Then try putting yourself in his shoes. Even a towering figure like Oscar would have peed his pants in the face of such a scene.
“Aren’t you going to explain all this to me?” Finn asked, pointing at his surroundings which had returned to normal.
“It’s a restoration beam, purified using deep cosmic energy infusion technology. It may seem like time is reversing, but it’s simply using pure energy to restore damaged objects to their prior states. When technology is advanced enough, most ordinary objects can be artificially manufactured through energy infusion. Producing a copy of Earth is a simple matter if there is enough energy,” Zero answered in an unusually lengthy explanation.
“Damn, that technology sounds cool as hell, but that’s not what I asked about,” Finn complained exasperatedly. Who gives a damn about this when the main question is who these aliens are and why they are after his life?
“The rest is beyond the scope of my explanations!” Zero promptly shut Finn down with a single statement.
“Bullshit! You were just scared shitless by our guest just now, weren’t you?!” Finn accused, half-mocking, half-serious. It seemed that way from his perspective since Zero disappeared when the stranger appeared, and came back once the threat had left.
Zero disappeared again without a word in response to Finn’s accusation.
“Fine, let me ask this, could you destroy that spaceship?” Finn asked, changing the subject. Being a punching bag is not his style. However, his current capabilities seemed as threatening as an ant preparing for a head-on showdown with a full-grown, fully armored man.
This wasn’t even a fight on the same level, was it?
“Yes.” Zero’s surprising answer was to the point.

“Can you do it right now?” Finn wondered, although he had no idea how fast the spaceship could travel, it must have left Earth by now.
“Yes.” Zero’s unchanged answer seemed incredibly irritating to Finn at this moment. Finn laughed sarcastically. They wanted his life, huh? Even though he had no idea what the Silver Arrest Warrant was, or who that young man was, Finn directly asked, “How many points do I need to destroy that spaceship right now?”
“One trillion.” Zero immediately spit out a number that Finn could definitely not afford.
“Damn! One trillion? Are you just making up a number I can’t reach because you actually can’t destroy it?” Finn was getting a bit desperate. This was a blatant lie. Finn had earned less than a hundred million points in total, which was nowhere near one trillion. It was literally impossible.
“Due to unforeseen protective measures, I can provide a partial explanation. He’s unaware of my existence. Given your current development rate, you’ll be able to take care of him yourself in the future. I am your trump card!” Zero’s icy voice rang out, though it was an off-topic statement.
But, Zero’s words revealed a lot. So their opponent was unaware of Zero’s presence? Judging by the young man’s methods, it was clear just how terrifying their technology was. Zero’s presence wouldn’t be detected even under such superior technology. That was more than enough to explain a lot, right?
And Zero said Finn would personally deal with him in the future? Although “the future” was vague, it was undoubtedly an invigorating piece of news. Moreover, there was a lot to unpack from Zero’s statement, but Finn’s confusion left him unable to put it all together.
“Let’s leave this place.” Having returned to its normal state, there was no point staying here. Fin promptly retraced his steps. Once back on the main road, he noticed Olivia had returned to her normal state, parked on the side of the road. Finn followed the same path back, passing the deep pits he had created earlier which, true to form, were back to normal, as if they had never existed.
He was truly astonished at this technology; he had no idea how it worked. However, a thought struck Finn when he returned to the previous road. He’d left in such a hurry that he forgot Fishy Wells and the others were supposed to follow him. Olivia sent them a message, but Finn had no idea what it said.
With this in mind, Finn pulled out his perfectly intact cell phone from his pocket; another wonder created by Zero. Fishy answered the phone quickly.
“Is there anything I can help with, young master?” Fishy asked.
“Oh, nothing much, I’m just on my way back home.” Finn, running through his thoughts, responded.
“Oh my, you’ve already finished hanging out with your classmates?” Fishy asked, surprised.
“Uh huh, they had to leave because something came up,” Finn explained casually, brushing Fishy off. She didn’t think much of it and ended the call.
After hanging up, Finn asked, “Did you tell her I was meeting up with some classmates, Olivia?”
“No, I didn’t say that,” Olivia replied, leaving Finn even more confused.
“What did you tell her?” Finn asked, his eyes wide in anticipation.
“I said we had some urgent business to attend to and proposed that she leaves first,” Olivia answered, leaving Finn stunned. Olivia’s statement couldn’t be false, as she wouldn’t lie. Besides, Fishy’s tone in their conversation didn’t seem deceitful either. There must be some misunderstanding somewhere.
Finn stayed silent for a moment, before asking, “Olivia, where do you think the misunderstanding happened?”
“Unable to judge. It seems like a form of memory manipulation,” Olivia speculated.
Finn tilted his head and thought back to the horrifying scene from earlier. Way beyond understanding, the seemingly time-reversing process that restored everything around him to its original state was disconcerting, even though he might not understand due to his current technological state. This overwhelming technology left him feeling rather powerless.
