Super Spender-Chapter 517 - 511: Insect Species
Chapter 517: Chapter 511: Insect Species
“Ah…” A harsh roar suddenly came from inside the spore, startling Finn Lewis. Finn quickly moved back, but the roar subsided after a while. Hesitant for a moment, he decisively took off and flew over the spore. When he arrived above it, he noticed that the entire top of the spore was empty. Inside was filled with hundreds of five or six meter tall insect species with strange, mantis-like structures, the only difference was their legs and their first two pairs of forelimbs were covered in dense barbs.
Around this circle of towering insects, there was a dark red, tomb-like flesh mass constantly wiggling, surrounded by ten beetle-like insects. These insects had two rows of legs underneath and a horrific looking head, complete with a large mouth, and next to it, there were a pair of sharp, pincer-like mouthparts.
Inside this mouth were numerous tiny teeth. This beetle-like creature was not small either, roughly the size of an off-road vehicle.
“What species of insects are these?” Finn asked tentatively.
“They are the base unit of the Insect Species, Worker Bee Queens.” Zero disclosed information that took Finn by surprise.
“Zero, is it possible to teleport it to the modern space?” Finn pondered for a moment, his face flashing with fervor, he went ahead and asked.
“I can, but what are you planning to do?!” For the first time, Zero’s voice was filled with emotional fluctuations, expressing surprise that even Finn picked up on. “Do you understand what you’re doing? If it began to reproduce in your universe, do you understand the consequences?”
“I know,” Finn replied coldly. “But I still need to do this. Can you help me teleport it?”
“Are you sure? The teleportation will cost 5000 points.” Zero’s voice had regained its robotic monotony.
“I’m sure,” Finn nodded.
“I need you to touch it first.” Zero stated quite simply.
“Understood. I’m going to disengage the anti-gravity system. As soon as I touch its back, begin the teleportation.” Finn cautiously watched the restless insect unit below and spoke softly.
Finn was unclear which of these insect units held intelligence. The surrounding large units didn’t seem likely, there were too many of them. It didn’t seem to be the Worker Bee Queen either, or the wriggling flesh mass. Then again, Finn didn’t have time to think much. Every moment he lingered here meant more danger. He bit his lip and decisively said, “Disengage anti-gravity system.”
With a “buzz”, his protective suit’s anti-gravity system was disengaged. He was already less than five meters above the Worker Bee Queen and his body began to plummet towards the ground. The moment he disengaged the anti-gravity system, he felt a tremendous force sweep in his direction.
The massive insect units around him turned their bodies suddenly, their huge heads opening wide. A bolt of green fluid came flying towards Finn at lightning speed.
“Damn!” Finn cried out in surprise. The creature looked so horrific that he never expected that it could attack from a distance. A “buzz” resounded, and a powerful white light flashed. A shield of energy enveloped Finn within.
The energy shield flickered crazily. Glancing at the remaining energy level of his protective suit, Finn was almost scared to death. The attack just now had drained 20% of the remaining 52% energy in his suit, leaving him with only 32% left. It was fortunate that he only fell from a height of five meters, which took just over a second.
As Finn’s foot touched the Worker Bee Queen beneath him, he shouted out, “Zero, teleport!”
He felt the familiar sensation of teleportation; however, before he could fully process it, several strands of green fluid struck his energy shield at a terrifying speed, while a sharp black blade pierced from the side of the void and pierced through the weak shield.
But in the next moment, Finn’s figure was shrouded in a ring of black light. The black blade was also enveloped by the black ring, cut in half instantly. Immediately afterwards, Finn and the Worker Bee Queen beneath him vanished.
Upon returning through the teleportation, Finn had barely caught his breath when he felt a significant force coming from underneath. The force sent him flying off and then an earth-shattering scream resounded. It was so shrill and sharp that it made his ears ache, but within that deafening scream, Finn could hear sadness!
The quiet Worker Bee Queen sadistically attacked Finn a moment ago and began to struggle furiously as if it had gone mad. At least a few dozen T1000s were charging towards it!
“Henry Lewis, tell Wise Lewis that I need five million points!” Finn shouted. Even though Finn didn’t know what was happening to the Worker Bee Queen, he wasn’t going to believe that it could still sense the mental fluctuations of the Supreme Ruler of the Insect Species across different dimensions! Despite being the size of a jeep, this Worker Bee Queen was not a battle-bred insect species, besides, the T1000s were extremely formidable.
Soon, about a dozen T1000s had the Worker Bee Queen pressed to the ground, rendering its struggles futile. However, watching the Worker Bee Queen straining violently, Finn could sense its terrifying power. This creature was struggling as if its life depended on it. The floor here was made of extremely strong metal, forged by Finn himself, but despite this, it was being deeply scratched and dented by the creature.
“Be careful, don’t kill it. Zero! I want to know if it can still sense the mental fluctuations of the Supreme Ruler of the Insect Species,” Finn asked decisively! He was betting on this, a considerable bet! If it could still feel the Supreme Ruler, then that would mean Finn’s experiment had failed. In that case, he would simply get rid of it, as it was just a Worker Bee Queen. As a collective, the Insect Species were powerful, but individually they weren’t.
“The six-dimensional transition has transcended both time and space. Unless a permanent spacetime portal is opened, no substance can be transferred.” Zero didn’t directly answer Finn’s question but gave another answer. Even Finn could understand from this response that the Worker Bee Queen could no longer sense the Supreme Ruler’s mental fluctuations.
