Super Spender-Chapter 697 - 691: Overwhelming
Chapter 697: Chapter 691: Overwhelming
“While calling, Chloe Flowerfield headed straight towards Finn Lewis. “Chloeeee,” Finn laughed and stretched out his arms to pick up the little girl. Over the past year or so, her nutrition had caught up, coupled with the Memory Booster Tea, the little girl was growing more and more beautiful; she was surely going to be a beauty.
Her hair had also become dark and thick, her pudgy little face as she grew taller. Zoe was now in the second grade of primary school, although a year younger than her classmates, but her studies were impeccable. The Memory Booster Tea was like a miracle for boosting human memory.
“Big brother, why haven’t you come back for so long? Zoe missed you, Kay Lee missed you too.” Zoe began to articulate after being held by Finn.
“Big brother is busy working, making money to buy sweets for Zoe.” Finn chuckled, pinching Zoe’s nose.
“Big brother is a liar. Aunt Kay Lee said that if you had the money to buy sweets, you could cover the Earth with them.” Zoe spoke earnestly.
“Haha, okay. Big brother has been busy with work. But, I won’t be away for so long this time. Zoe will see big brother soon. Also, big brother has started building a spaceship that will take Zoe to the moon in the future.” Finn spoke cheerfully.
“Wow, really?” Zoe’s eyes lit up with excitement.
“Of course it’s true.” Finn nodded seriously. Holding Zoe, he walked over to Fay Wells, “Mom, I’m back. I’m sorry to have worried you.”
“It’s good to be back, it’s good to be back. No matter where you go next time, leave a contact method.” Fay’s eyes reddened, but she held back her tears in front of Zoe.
“Okay, Mom, let’s go inside. I have something to tell you.” Finn thought for a moment before speaking seriously.
Inside, Zoe obediently went to do her homework. This little girl was very sensible, and now she was more like a child, unlike the grownup she seemed before, which was heartbreaking to see.
“Mom and Dad, Kay already knows about this. Now, I will tell you. I didn’t tell you before because I was afraid you might inadvertently blurt it out. This is a serious matter.” Finn started to speak seriously.
Hearing Finn’s words, Hazel Lewis and Fay looked at each other. Even though they weren’t well-educated, they understood their son was not the kind to speak frivolously. If he said it was serious, it must be really serious.
“Actually, Mom, Dad, you know, I told you before, I did some software research in college. The truth is, strictly speaking, this is not completely wrong. Actually, I inherited an alien spaceship.” Finn thought about it and decided to say it straight.
“Alien?” Hazel was taken aback and incredulously looked at Finn. If it weren’t for the fact that Finn was his own son, he would have thought Finn was delirious. Even though they weren’t well educated, they knew about aliens. Weren’t they just things from legends?
“Dad, you’ve heard of the situation in Belmare country, haven’t you? The virus that has been spreading and the mutated creatures are actually all alien creatures. Although almost all have been eliminated now, those things were left behind. The alien spaceship I inherited came to Earth more than ten thousand years ago tracking those alien creatures.” Finn chose to conceal some part of the truth.
No need to tell his parents about the other parts. They don’t need to know that much, just knowing this much is enough. However, after hearing this, both Hazel and Fay were surprised. It took a while for Fay to look at Finn and say, “Finn, are you messing with us?”
“Mom and Dad, why would I lie to you? Here, look at this.” Finn simply took off his wristwatch-style personal brain and placed it on the table, “Luna Starfield, play a video.” Following Finn’s words, his watch started changing rapidly. Soon a 3D projection movie was floating above the dining table and started playing.
“This… this…” Facts are the best way to explain things. Like now, this 3D projection was still hyper sci-fi technology on Earth. It’s like if someone gave you a smartphone from company A in 2005, you’d feel awed because it’s ahead of its time.
“Mom and Dad, do you believe me now? If you don’t believe me, you can ask Kay.” Finn said helplessly.
Seeing the gaze of Hazel and Fay, Kay Lee nodded and said, “Mom and Dad, it’s true.” Kay did not know when she had started calling them ‘Mom’ and ‘Dad’, at least when Finn left this wasn’t the case.
“Let’s think about this…” Hazel now felt a bit overwhelmed. Although he had gained a lot of insights in the past two years thanks to Finn, he was still illiterate with little education. He was completely unable to understand the current situation, or more accurately he felt somewhat at a loss. These revelations left him at a loss on what to do.
“Mom and Dad, actually you don’t have to think too much. This is a good thing for us. At least for now, even the country won’t do anything to us. And as you know, Dad, the recent development in our country is inextricably linked to me. Many technologies have been provided by me, including most of the factories in the current industrial park.” Finn also knew that it would be difficult for his parents to accept this at once.
In fact, Finn didn’t need them to give any opinions or thoughts. He just wanted to let them know about this. So, whatever he does in the future, it becomes easier to explain.
“Alright, this is hard for us to understand, but we also can’t give you any good advice. So, this three-month trip you took has something to do with this, right?” Hazel asked.
“Yes, Dad, it’s related. I went to Mars this time. According to the alien technology, it’s possible to transform Mars. In the future, the whole of Mars could possibly become the next immigrant planet for humanity. These are not very difficult tasks, so I had to go there for an inspection.” Finn didn’t mention that he had not only left the Solar System, but almost left the Heritage System as well.
