She had just returned from the other room after attending to the broken bottles and wanted to continue their conversation.

He had stepped forward, ready to charm her socks off and maybe even her panties as well.

It wasn’t just the men. Even the female workers were blocking him.

Hugo rubbed his temples, his mind spiraling into a conspiracy theory.

’Wait a damn minute… does her entire team have a crush on her?!’

It made sense! Why else would they be so dead set on keeping her away from him?

Either that or they were all secretly spies for a certified stalker who also had a crush on Ariana!

This was getting complex!

Hugo clenched his fists.

’They can try. But I am inevitable and unstoppable. Nothing can block me from attaining my goals!’

He exhaled, clearing his mind, then turned and walked toward the main lounge.

For now, he would simply give her space. There was no need to cling to get shadow like a lovestruck puppy.

Hugo plopped down beside him and raised an eyebrow. "You look like a man up to no good."

Collins let out an excited laugh. "Hugo, my guy, this is going to be the party of the century."

He gestured wildly at his phone. "I’ve sent out so many invites, and bro, the turnout is gonna be insane."

Hugo smirked. Insane turnouts were good and all, but that also came with its own special little problem.

"You sure you can handle it? What if something goes horribly wrong? You know how crazy these guys can be when they get drunk..."

Collins froze. Then he slowly turned to glare at Hugo. "Shut up. Don’t jinx it with your cursed mouth."

He wasn’t wrong. Still, he was simply saying this out of the kindness of his heart.

Hugo chuckled. "I’m just saying, with the way your luck works—"

"STOP. RIGHT. THERE." Collins held up a finger. "I rebuke your negativity. This party will be legendary, and nothing will go wrong."

At that exact moment...

DING!

Collins’s phone buzzed with a message. He glanced at the screen and immediately grinned. He sat upright and hurriedly typed back with utmost delight and seriousness.

"Oh, Celine is here."

Hugo raised an eyebrow. He stared at Collins with a knowing look. "New side chick?"

Collins scoffed. "No, dumbass. My cousin."
