Supreme Couple In Apocalypse: Undead King & Demonic Queen-Chapter 223: Beginning of First Mark (2/8)
Erix sensed twenty aura rushing behind him but continued flying, ignoring shades and other Umbral monsters from this valley's natural landscape.
None of those could hit him, so he didn't plan to waste his energy and time on them. Rin was doing the same, leading the group of enemies behind to the extreme other side.
In the end, both stopped at the raging rivers that were going deeper into the 1st zone and started confronting their opponents.
*Clash!*
Surrounded by her Chronace flow, Rin simply side-tracked all incoming attacks and went past an enemy as a cross-shaped ultra-thin blade light struck him.
As the ultra-thin blade light suddenly expanded, the man was cut into four pieces that flew in different directions.
Rin already went to another enemy while cutting a dark blue electric net someone released to trap her.
*Crrr!*
But nothing could stop her as she was akin to an invincible blade cutting everything.
When only ten people remained, their faces twisted, and they used all of their powers!
To escape.
…
On the other hand, Erix had enacted his Death Zone of punches, brutally destroying each one at a time while the Noble-order hunters tried to hit Erix.
They even managed to strike him, but Erix's defense had grown expectantly since he learned to master his Metal affinity at level 4 and use exotic metal combinations.
Two dark gold rectangle shields floated beside Erix as he flew around or occasionally teleported while his Punch projectiles roaming to and fro from various wormholes struck enemies.
'Small fries.'
Erix didn't let anyone escape, but…he didn't kill anyone.
Erix floated near the river while his eyes flashed faint silver. His stance was straight, and his arms were at his waist, his hands forming solid fists that dreamy dark purple with silver hue.
Twenty people lay at various places within five kilometers before him. They were not dead but brutally injured.
One of them suddenly drank a healing potion to return from his severe injury status, but the moment he flew up, a punch projectile struck him from a wormhole out of nowhere, shattering his left shoulder as a scream left his mouth.
'Damn it.'
'What do we do?'
'He is not letting anyone go but keeping everyone barely alive!'
'Nobody told us he was such a demon. FUCK THIS!'
'Rat-king's henchman said we are fucking more than enough! My ass.'
'I don't think any Noble-order hunter here can kill him. We are screwed.'
'Even if I call my Royal-order senior member, he wouldn't be able to hurt that bastard.'
'I-I'll try to talk to him.'
Erix was waiting for someone to move and try a new kind of punch while thinking of various conceptual actions to imagine which one would bring out more power from his current arsenal of powers.
'What if I try to think of 'shattering' concept to match with punches? But if the target is more powerful, it will not really shatter at once…'
'Conditions like hitting weakness and counter element should increase chances along with Spirit Force, the main one.'
Using spirit force cleverly in combat was one of the most important things, and it affected the result significantly.
'But how do I acquire it? Do I just imagine shattering things, powers, people…with my punch?' Erix rubbed his chin.
'Or should I think of other concepts? There's no limit after all…'
Suddenly, Erix sensed someone's spirit force approaching him with no defense and oozing out surrender intention.
'They are mistaken if they think I am going to spare them,' Erix speechlessly thought. It would be a joke if they really begged for their life.
[Erix: Tell me your name first and then speak.]
[???: I am Maukil, sir.]
[Maukil: D-Do you plan to kill all of us?]
[Erix: You got it right, smart one. I'll kill you last.]
[Maukil: sir, what do we need to do for you to spare us?]
[Erix: Why did you come here?]
[Maukil: W-What?]
[Erix: Why the hell did you come here and chase me with killing intent?]
[Maukil: T-That…we had o-orders…]
[Erix: There you go. I have no reason to spare you, but I also don't want to kill you.]
[Maukil: R-Really?…] fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
[Erix: Yeah, so how about we do this? You all try to run all at once.]
[Maukil: B-but…you will still hit all of us…]
[Erix: Yes, I will. But if you all think of escaping and suddenly awaken a concept that helps you, I will let you leave.]
[Maukil:…]
[Erix: It will hurt a lot, but if you want to live, you'll have to bear some pain.]
[Erix: Keep trying, okay?! Now go!]
Erix waited for them with a smile as he rubbed his palms and roused his energies.
'Get up and work hard for your life!'
Erix released a spiritual wave, sending his thoughts to everyone.
He knew exactly where each one was with his Space Map, their aura bright as red stars to him.
Thus, Erix began a game of death with them to improve himself.
Not knowing something lurked in the river behind him, waiting for an opportunity.
…
On the other hand, Rin had killed all of her enemies but was in no way a leisure time.
It was exactly the opposite.
A Royal-order rank shade emerged at the riverbank after Rin killed everyone and began fighting it.
There was a dark yellow sphere with vein-like red patterns all over it in ethereal form, indicating the mark of a domain.
A bubbling yellow-red lava world surrounded Rin with floating lavatic islands, black rocks, and destructive debris in this domain of her Royal-order foe.
Rin was slashing away all obstacles and cutting her way through the catastrophic attacks to approach the core where her foe, a woman with long lavatic hair, floated while controlling the domain to kill her.
'Interesting. This domain is big and full of destructiveness...But I can sever it all.'

Rin's arms blurred, and she shot forward into a bolt of lightning at the incoming lava-condensed pillar, cutting five kilometers of distance while slicing it in half.
'As long as I cut her down, I will win,' Rin thought as she crossed a kilometer with a crackle of lightning again, but suddenly, three spinning lavatic drill spikes shot towards her.
Rin's pupils shrank, feeling a sense of foreboding.
