Supreme Couple In Apocalypse: Undead King & Demonic Queen-Chapter 233: Echoing Far & Wide! (5), Rat-King’s Lord?
"Where are they?!"
"That bitch hid them again! What the fuck is going on?!"
*Roarr!*
A furious, draconic roar rang in the 1st zone of Spada Valley, filled with frustration and anger.
*Boooom!*
"There!…Sterlin Valen's men were in that direction! Go! Kill those two first!" Dranuk shouted with bloodshot, furious eyes. Two of his subordinates were already dead without him doing anything to stop them.
"Don't use your domain against them, and try to defend yourself with other means!"
At the moment, the 1st zone of Spada Valley was a huge stage with the main dancer as Death!
Organized by Lilith and played by Rin and Erix, the peak Royal-order subordinate of Dark Sterling Valen was outright killed by Lilith before she set up the stage for Rin and Erix.
The duo roamed the forest to and fro with Erix's hidden teleportation portals and Lilith's shadow buff.
It was two Noble-order hunters vs nine powerful Royal-order hunters!
Over ten had already died here, and more were on the way as Rin and Erix reaped their lives one by one! see more mvle mp|y|r
At first, when Rin and Erix unleashed deadly attacks sneakily with Lilith's supposed, those individuals would quickly use the domain in a life-threatening situation to defend themselves, but that was proving difficult for others to support them.
"They are not faster than us, but just swift in their actions! Focus on one to break their synergy. Kill that teleporting bastard!"
Jyak shouted, one of the three remaining subordinates of Dark Sterling Valen.
However, he suddenly felt his danger bell ringing, feeling space around him giving him creeps.
'Fuck…'
*BOOM!*
…
In the Fallen city's center's underground chambers…
Rat-king's subordinates were watching the mayhem occurring in the 1st zone while waiting for the right time.
"Jeez, why are those two Noble-order hunters so powerful?"
"It doesn't matter. They are just doing our work."
"Only two are left, so let's go and set up the things."
The people roaming around the huge plaza soon saw a big crystal screen appearing in the sky, displaying a scenery of the Spada Valley's first zone.
It was connected to the eyes of other subordinates watching the dance of death enacted by the recent famous bounties.
Naturally, people took notice of them and started watching out of curiosity.
At first, they were just confused as they were looking at a draconic man floating with intense focus and spread-out senses as if he was being cautious of his surroundings.
"Why is he looking scared despite creating layers of defenses around him?"
"It looks like someone is sneakily streaming a battle."
Suddenly, everyone stopped talking as they saw a punch projectile slamming into his defenses before it created chaotic chain explosions, utterly decimating his barriers before a strange and dreamy cross-slash wrapped by chaotic spirals struck the draconic man.
"Ain't that Mana?"
"Yeah, it's Mana. What the fuck…"
*BOOM!*
Rin's attack also wasted away the quick defense that the draconic man tried to put up and injured him before Erix appeared behind him and threw both of his punches forward.
The people watching finally saw a face, and many were surprised before getting shocked as they witnessed the instant death of a Royal-order hunter just like that.
Some early Noble-order hunters with low stats and unawakened Spirit stat couldn't even see what happened despite watching the screen without blinking.
"What the hell! Isn't that guy the same one whose poster is hanging on Bounty Board?"
"I think Rat-king put their bounty, which means that they'll have to kill the Rat-king to clean their bounty."
"That reminded me. I saw a huge group of Noble-order hunters entering Spada Valley to hunt this group."
"They are dead, and even more died. At least ten Royal-order hunters also died trying to kill them."
"Crazy… Just who the hell are those people?"
"We don't have their names, but damn! How could Noble-order hunters become this powerful?!"
become this powerful?!"
"I've heard of such monsters but never seen them. Their elements are crazy, is all i can say from what I just observed."
"In the first place, one needs superior spiritual talent and spirit stat as a Noble-order hunter to even begin fighting against Royal-order hunters. These two are talented monsters for sure."
"Rat-king might meet his end."
While the public was enthusiastically talking after watching a spectacle, Rat-king's subordinates were sneering internally.
"It's time to start. I got the king's signal."
…
Lilith floated 1st zone's membrane with her senses spread out.
Rin and Erix arrived there shortly before quickly chugging a potion.
"Hehe, done. Now, only one left," Rin showed a victor gesture with a grin.
"That bastard went deeper and hid somewhere," Lilith said with a wry smile. "I was searching here in case he escaped, but since he is not here, he must have gone deeper instead."
"Do we go find him?" Erix asked as he cracked his fingers.
"Forget it," Lilith shook her head before she turned around, her eyes glinting red.
"We are made into a show by a rat. I don't know why he did all this, so let's wait to find out," Lilith snapped her finger, creating three floating blood mattresses.
"Sit and recover."
Rin and Erix sat down before closing their eyes and entered meditation.
But it wasn't long before Rat-King revealed him with a wide smile and a crazed expression.
"Thank you very much, Dark Queen Lilith."
Lilith crossed her arms, her gaze becoming distant.
"Ooo, scary~"
Rat-King laughed, his aura unstable, and slight blood dripped from his mouth.
Erix's eyes shot open as he suddenly felt the change in atmosphere, particularly regarding the death aura.
Rin also opened her eyes, her brows creasing.
"Is he the mastermind?" Erix looked at the Rat-king, feeling an abundance of death power from him and more gathering into him.
"Foolish rat," Lilith said as a dark red throne with dark gold and black patterns emerged before her, "Why are you showing the spectacle of death before me?
However, there was a smile on her lips and a thrilled glint deep within her eyes. 'I see….so this is really it, Granny May.'
"I am showing it precisely because I was before you," Rat-king Grinned, his eyes darkening.
Bending his waist, he gave a deep bow to Lilith, "Without your group, with you creating conflicts, I wouldn't have gotten a chance to cause this many deaths here."
"My lord is also thanking you from the bottom of his heart," the Rat-king grinned, his entire body and face suddenly cracking with red, black, and dark pink patterns.
'What's going on, Lilith?' Rin quickly asked.
'In three simple words, it's Sacrifice, Undead Ritual skill, and summoning.'
'Sounds like a big trouble, but you don't look worried,' Erix raised his eyebrows. His eyes were focused on the Rat-king, who was breaking down into colorful liquid pooling around him on the ground.
It was bursting with a frightening aura.
"Ummm, should we do anything about that?" Rin pointed at the former Rat-king, now something weird. "My spirit force can't even approach it."
"This might be out of our reach," Erix wryly smiled, "What about you, babe?"
Lilith chuckled as shadowy wisps conjured around her. They flew towards Erix and Rin, surrounding them.
"You two need not stay front-line in this one. Take the shadow ride and float high to watch. If you want to participate, then drop your bombs from the top," Lilith licked her lips. "I'll keep its attention to myself and kill it, whatever it is."
"Lilith," Erix's expression turned somber. "Are you 100% certain of winning this?"
"Were you two always?" Lilith glanced at the duo with a wide, devious smile.
Rin and Erix were stunned before they couldn't help but laugh.
"Alright, let's do this," Rin grinned and grabbed Erix's hand, charging him and herself with a crude buff skill she created using her Chronace Flow, as it could increase one's Agility by 15%.
She felt she could expand and improve this skill, but she needed more magical knowledge for it.
The shadow wisps around them also entered their bodies, giving them a buff for ten minutes.
The [Shadow Drifter] buff could help them hide in any shadows briefly and increase their speed of moving or flying as the shadow coating around them would reduce any kind of untamed and uncontrolled magical atmospheric resistance and allow them to fly freely.
After all, the atmosphere in the magical world had various magic particles and phenomena according to landscapes, which could affect one's flying speed.
"Dark Queen Lilith!"
The trio turned to the almost broken down Ratk-king, who only had his cracked face visible on the puddle of a strange liquid that perfectly spread into a circle with eccentric patterns forming.
"Please grant my lord the final sacrifice! Die at his hands, and give him a true revival!"
"Go," Lilith said before she started chugging different potions one by one.
*Zoom!*
Rin and Erix shot upward at full speed while their instincts were warning them of imminent death should they stay near that malevolent thing below.
Meanwhile, Lily appeared beside Lilith after a second, "Lady Lilith, I've placed the formation poles."
"Good. Stay at its center and activate it when I tell you to."
"Understood," Lilith nodded, her expression solemn as she looked at the puddle that had turned into a strange magic circle and was glowing.
"Do you know what's coming?"
"A calamity from some random world that this Rat encountered and brought here," Lilith crossed her arms, her aura rising before five pyramid-like different colored crystals conjured around her.
"It's not his fault. This poor rat was hypnotized and controlled by that entity," Lilith grinned.
Her attire also started changing. Those five crystals shot a bunch of nano laser-like phenomena at her, weaving a tight pitch-black combat dress with an eccentric flowing structure over her heavenly figure.
Her outfit occasionally pulsed with faint, different color hues.
"Go, you can't stay here," Lilith said as a powerful soul presence suddenly oozed out from the magic puddle circle.
Lily quickly left, but her eyes managed to glance at a large humanoid hand with long, sharp, wild nails emerging from the puddle.
She ran at her fastest speed as fear was automatically rising in her, indicating its danger level.
'No chance…Except for lady Lilith, we can't even stay within ten kilometers of it,' Lily thought, wiping away her sweat.
'What the hell did that rat summon?!'
