Chapter 2284: War.

Back in the Supreme World of Light, the moment the hundred Light Borns that were sent to bring back Lady Seraphielle returned, they heaved a big sigh of relief.

Their leader looked at Lord Light who had summoned them back and—

"We found Lord Orravy—"

He was about to report the entire situation but before he could, his eyes fell on her.

Lady Seraphielle.

She was standing right behind Lord Light and was... unnervingly silent as she stared at them.

"L-Lady Seraphielle."

The Leader did not know why, but he instantly bowed his head and greeted her. The rest of the Light Borns were confused, but they did the same thing, following the leader. None of them wanted to be the odd one out, not when they had just encountered the Infinity of Eternity.

Seraphielle looked at them, then she turned and glanced at Lord Light—

"Execute the plan."

She gave the orders before she turned around and walked back to her throne. Yes, the throne—along with the Temple of Light—was already reconstructed. It was the symbol of Light; they couldn’t possibly let that place be in ruins for such a long time.

Lord Light nodded. If there were any hesitation or doubt in his mind before, he did not dare show it afterwards.

He had expected Aravalli to be wiped out of the Universe today, but for it to still stand—and worse, for Lord Orravyn to appear to stop Lady Seraphielle and shamefully send her away—

He could tell what Lady Seraphielle was feeling, and he...

He had no intention of getting on her bad side right now.

So if she said something needed to be done, it was his responsibility to make sure it did get done.

Therefore, Lord Light turned towards the Light Born Leader that he had sent away before and—

"Gather your men."

He commanded.

Lord Light only had control over all the Light Borns, not the other followers of Light, and this operation—

This needed Light’s complete power.

The Light Born Leader nodded with a solemn look, waiting for Lord Light to speak.

And Lord Light did—

"From this day forth, the Light Worlds will enter Complete Lockdown."

Lord Light announced.

The Light Borns frowned in confusion.

"What...?"

The Leader blinked.

Complete Lockdown?

What did that even mean?

The very idea behind it was so absurd that he couldn’t even imagine it.

But...

It was happening.

"Trade routes will be sealed. Gates will shut down. Warp-lanes will be chained. No merchant convoy, no pilgrim fleet, no wandering mercenary band will cross our borders without Lady Seraphielle’s approval."

Light Borns widened their eyes in shock. They glanced at Seraphielle, as if trying to confirm whether what they were hearing was actually her decision, but the Infinity of Light only stared at the temple around her. As if she was checking if her temple was reconstructed properly or if the work done needed... punishment.

Lord Light, on the other hand, continued—

"From this moment onward, no being living under Light is permitted to leave Light Territory.

Not for profit.

Not for curiosity.

Not for ’information.’

Not for love.

If they wish to travel, they may travel within our dominion. If they wish to trade, they may trade among our faithful. If they wish to learn, they may learn from Light—because Light has no shortage of truth."

Light Borns stayed silent. None dared to stop Lord Light or ask a question, no matter how absurd it all sounded.

"Trades that require abilities of other Factions are no longer needed. As for artifacts and relics we absolutely need—

We ourselves will procure them and supply them to the people at the same price.

But Light’s people must learn how to live without assistance from others. Light’s people must become independent."

Lord Light took a brief pause, as if letting those words echo throughout the temple and be registered into the Light Borns’ heads.

"No foreign being—not from Balance, Eternity, Darkness, or even independent of any of the Factions—will be permitted entry into our Territory."

Finally, Lord Light looked right at the Light Born Leader, as if he was giving a message, a message he needed to relay to the people.

"The Anomaly does not win by strength alone.

He wins by rot, whispers, and contamination.

He wins by letting doubt slip into the cracks.

Cracks that form even with the monthly memory scans."

Then, Lord Light lowered his voice.

"So we will remove the cracks."

He declared directly.

"And you will ensure the cracks are removed smoothly."

He spoke as he looked at the Light Born Leader.

"Do whatever you require. You have Lady Seraphielle’s complete permission. It doesn’t matter how many you need to kill, enslave, or threaten.

Do what you must.

Make sure the Worlds follow.

And any world that delays implementation—make sure they understand the consequences of being... negligent."

Lord Light spoke with a meaningful look on his face, a look that the Light Born Leader understood almost instantly.

Lord Light nodded when he noticed that glow of understanding in his eyes, then—

"Make sure people understand that this is not fear.

This is discipline.

This is Light purifying its structure.

A house under siege does not leave its doors open because closing them feels impolite.

Make sure that people understand that we will not ’debate’ with filth. We will not ’explain’ ourselves to those who thirst for scandal. We will not allow... the impure to smear our banners and then claim they touched truth."

Lord Light then raised his chin with that familiar arrogant gaze, and with him, the entire temple seemed like it was floating in the air—

"Light does not grovel.

Light does not chase rumors.

Light does not beg for belief."

After a short pause—

"Light protects what is its own.

And right now, what’s important is to protect the Faith.

Unfortunate things have been happening, things that have been affecting the Faith, and Light won’t just sit back and let it happen."

Lord Light’s gaze then turned towards Seraphielle, almost as if confirming whether she wanted to actually go forward with it, but again, Seraphielle acted like she wasn’t even listening, like her focus was still on the temple—and that was all Lord Light needed to see.

He gulped slightly before turning back towards the Light Borns, who themselves had heavy looks on their faces, but none of them said anything, and Lord Light continued—

"If they wish to call this isolation, let them.

If they wish to call this control, let them.

Words are cheap outside our walls.

And inside our walls—

We will be the ones who control those words.

We will have Order.

We will have stability.

We will have loyalty."

Then, after another pause, Lord Light spoke again—

"And if any among our own believe they need foreign tongues to tell them what Light is—

then they have already decided they do not deserve Light’s protection."

The Light Borns nodded at those words—not because they understood them; even they could tell what was being done here.

They just understood that this was what they were going to feed the people, and after some level of ’convincing’, implementing it shouldn’t be very difficult.

"Go."

Lord Light commanded, nodding at the Light Borns meaningfully.

The Light Born Leader nodded back and then—him, together with the rest of the Light Borns—

They all disappeared.

The only ones now remaining in the Temple were Lord Light and the Infinity of Light. Lord Light turned towards Seraphielle, in case she had something to say.

And Seraphielle—

She finally stopped staring at the temple and turned towards Lord Light.

"You did well."

She complimented.

"I only did what was needed of me to do."

Lord Light answered as he bowed his head. Seraphielle smiled at those words—

"You do not have to lie."

She spoke directly. Lord Light froze, flinching in fear. Seraphielle, however, just chuckled and—

"If you do not agree with the decision I made, you can talk to me. That is the reason I created you.

You are created by my subconscious; the powers you have are mine.

If you disagree with me, that means a part of me is disagreeing with myself."

Lord Light looked at her, slightly confused, and Seraphielle revealed the complete truth without hiding anything.

"I am not sealing our worlds to stop the words regarding Anomaly’s actions from spreading."

"What...?"

Lord Light frowned in confusion.

This wasn’t being done to control information...?

Then why...

Before he could even form his thoughts any further, Seraphielle corrected him—

"I did not say I am not doing this to control information. That, I admit to. But the information about the Anomaly isn’t my main focus."

"If not Anomaly... then what is... Lady Seraphielle planning...?"

Lord Light asked after a slight hesitation, and Seraphielle—

Her face turned much more solemn.

"War."

She announced.

"Against the other Three Infinities."

And Lord Light—

His eyes widened in absolute terror.

War...?

They were preparing for... war?

And that too, not against the Anomaly, but the other three Infinities?

What...?
