Supreme Warrior in the City-Chapter 2394: Half-Saint Emperor
Su Yang forcefully charged forward, instantly colliding with those Saint Kings.
These Saint Kings were not weak, but compared to Su Yang, they were far inferior.
Five or six Saint Kings were all knocked flying by Su Yang, unable to stop him at all.
Rushing past these Saint Kings, Su Yang quickly flew away.
The space around the Imperial Hall had been locked, making it impossible to tear through space to leave; Su Yang could only rush out of the area for now.
Those Saint Kings behind him roared continuously, and all around the Imperial Hall, more Saint Kings emerged to chase Su Yang.
Su Yang pushed his speed to the limit. Being surrounded by those Saint Kings would spell trouble.
Seeing he was about to break free from the Imperial Hall’s range, Su Yang’s heart suddenly jumped. He immediately stopped, nervously looking ahead.
"Why aren’t you running?" the Second City Lord exclaimed in surprise.
Before Su Yang could respond, a colossal figure appeared atop the city wall ahead of the Imperial Hall. A man stood suspended above the wall, hands behind his back, overlooking Su Yang.
"What’s going on?" the Second City Lord gasped: "Weren’t we told there were no Saint Emperors? What is this?"
Long Qiu was in Su Yang’s Personal Space, oblivious to the outside situation.
Su Yang frowned deeply as those Saint Kings from behind caught up. Upon seeing such a scene, they paused, staring with shock at the man.
Clearly, they hadn’t anticipated that this man would appear under such circumstances. But judging by the Saint Kings’ excited expressions, it was easy to deduce that this man’s identity was anything but ordinary.
The man sized up Su Yang and softly said, "I never imagined that in the years I’ve secluded myself, the world would become like this. All these nobodies have grown so bold. A mere Saint King dares provoke a Saint Emperor; do you really believe that with the Yingming Saint Emperor gone, there’s no one to stop you in the Yingming Dynasty?"
Su Yang’s face was cold, and he replied sternly, "You’re not a Saint Emperor, yet you dare boast so shamelessly. Aren’t you afraid the wind will cut your tongue?"
"He’s not a Saint Emperor?" the Second City Lord asked in bewilderment.
Su Yang didn’t answer but saw clearly. This man, despite having a presence similar to a Saint Emperor, was not one. Or rather, he had once reached the Saint Emperor Realm but had since fallen from it.
This felt akin to the Ancestor Dragon’s Half-step Holy Beast state. Having reached that realm, he retained its aura, yet his true power was below that realm. This person was merely a Semi-Saint Emperor.
But, even as a Semi-Saint Emperor, bearing the Saint Emperor title was no trivial matter. At least, with Su Yang’s current strength, he was no match whatsoever. In a fight, even with ten Su Yangs combined, they would still be no match for this man!
The man was taken aback and stared at Su Yang in surprise: "You recognize me?"
Su Yang shook his head, and the man frowned, asking, "You don’t know me, so how do you know I’m not a Saint Emperor?"
"You’re not, and that’s that, no need for explanations!" Su Yang replied coldly.
"Heh..." The man sneered, "Indeed, I’m not a Saint Emperor, but so what? I’m just half a step away from entering the Saint Emperor Realm anytime now. As for you, you’re merely a Saint King. Even if I’m not a Saint Emperor, I can easily crush a dozen of you with one hand. Do you dare challenge me?"
"Being overconfident is never good!" Su Yang replied coldly.
"Ha ha ha..." the man laughed towards the sky, "Confidence requires knowing whom you’re dealing with. Against you, I’m more than confident!"
"In that case, don’t blame me for being rude!" Su Yang shouted coldly, suddenly transforming into a giant, charging fiercely at the man.
The man was full of arrogance, casually ready to swat Su Yang down.
At that moment, Su Yang suddenly shouted loudly, "Saint Emperor, save me!"
The man froze, Saint Emperor? Where did a Saint Emperor come from? Was there a Saint Emperor here? And he felt nothing? Though, given how much his strength had declined, failing to sense a Saint Emperor was understandable.
In an instant, countless possibilities ran through the man’s mind. How could a Saint King dare to steal from a Saint Emperor’s Treasure House? Surely there was a Saint Emperor backing this! The Saint Emperor dared not show himself, so a Saint King was sent to do the deed. Now, with this Saint King about to be caught, the Saint Emperor was forced to reveal himself and silence him?
No wonder this Saint King had such confidence; he had the backing of a Saint Emperor!
With a moment of hesitation, the man quickly withdrew his hand, looking around warily. If a Saint Emperor ambushed him, he would die with regrets!
Meanwhile, Su Yang had already dashed past him, breaking free from the range of the Imperial Hall.
Su Yang had already taken out the Round Disc, and upon breaking free, he swiftly tore through space and darted inside.
At this point, the man realized he’d been deceived by Su Yang.
Furious, he roared wildly, "Thief, you dare deceive me? Where will you run?"
As he spoke, the man had already pursued, but the space fissure had closed by then.
Without any hesitation, the man reached out with both hands, forcibly tearing that closed space fissure back open, and followed through.
On the other side, Su Yang had just exited the fissure when he sensed something amiss. Before he could react, a large hand stretched from behind, grabbing him. The immense power almost crushed him.
Fortunately, Su Yang’s bones were tough, resisting the grip of that hand.
At that moment, the man emerged from the space fissure. He took one look at Su Yang, and his brow furrowed as he asked sternly, "You are Human Clan!?"
Su Yang’s physical body had been shattered, leaving only his bones, thus reverting to his original appearance.
The man was also shocked upon discerning Su Yang’s identity.
For years, only the Demon Beast Clan bullied the Human Clan; no humans dared assault the Demon Beast Clan.
Even the Heavenly War Alliance was mere posturing, mainly cheating and bullying other humans, never clashing with the Demon Beast Clan.
Of course, the Tao Sect was an exception. But, they seldom ventured out, subscribing to a philosophy of mutual non-aggression, never engaging in such acts.
Now, suddenly emerging from nowhere, a member of the Human Clan dared to storm the Demon Beast Clan’s Imperial City, stealing a Saint Emperor’s Treasure House—an unprecedented event.
At this moment, the man was dumbstruck, unsure what to make of the situation. When had the Human Clan become so audacious as to enter the Imperial City and rob a Saint Emperor’s treasures? Were they mad?
