Upon hearing this, Shu Ya immediately filled her glass with milk, put the milk carton back, closed the fridge, turned around and looked at Hao Jian, defiantly saying, "Can’t get out of bed? I thought you’d be walking with one hand on the wall today!"

After finishing his shower, Hao Jian donned new clothes and walked around the house. Seeing Shu Ya engrossed in TV, with her glass of milk finished and placed on the table in front of the sofa, he held the box and quietly approached.

Shu Ya merely glanced at him and then returned her gaze to the TV, clearly captivated by the scene on screen, not even considering Hao Jian, she looked briefly and then focused back on the TV.

This made Hao Jian shake his head; who would’ve guessed his charm couldn’t compete with a mere television, despite his handsome face, in Shu Ya’s eyes, it seemingly means nothing.

In truth, Hao Jian was quite handsome, but he usually didn’t pay attention to dressing up and had a rebellious demeanor, speaking with a playful gangster style, making his flaws overshadow his merits. Hao Jian smiled and said, "Hey, since it’s a surprise, if I tell you, wouldn’t it ruin the surprise? First, close your eyes, and I’ll show you the surprise I’ve prepared for you!"

Upon hearing this, Shu Ya’s eyes began to gleam with excitement, yet she wondered what kind of surprise would merit Hao Jian acting this way. When she touched the box, Shu Ya already sensed it was a box, but didn’t know what kind of item was inside, only knowing it seemed rather small. She shook her head, saying she couldn’t guess.

Hao Jian smiled and said nothing, opened the box, silently holding it and looking at her with delight, then said, "Alright, open your eyes and see the surprise!"

Upon hearing this, Shu Ya eagerly opened her eyes after waiting for a while.
