Capítulo 1863: Chapter 2064: Eat You?

Before Hao Jian took action, she was already skeptical of him, and gave him a dose of sarcasm. So, even though she was dying to know what Hao Jian had done, she couldn’t bring herself to ask him directly.

Hao Jian saw her expression and knew she was curious about the reason, but he loved teasing her. Seeing her eager yet embarrassed face, he was definitely not going to let her know easily.

For him, this was a secret that absolutely couldn’t be shared with others. Only he and her dad knew the specifics of the conversation; no one else did. It was a pact between them, and each had to honor their promises.

Just in the midst of her thoughts, Liang Xiaohan unexpectedly broke through her mental defense. She, who always valued face, decided to swallow her pride and ask Hao Jian what he discussed with her dad that made him, a man of principles, change his mind.

She really wanted to know what had happened. Her father had suddenly shifted from his principles.

However, just as she was about to speak, suddenly Hao Jian seemed to anticipate her move and spoke up just a second before she did.

“Don’t ask. It’s too much for a mortal to know the secrets of heaven,” Hao Jian laughed at Liang Xiaohan. “If you’re really dying to know, maybe you should go home and ask your dad to see if he’ll tell you!”

Liang Xiaohan’s words were already on the tip of her tongue, and she had even swallowed her pride to ask Hao Jian. But before she could say a word, Hao Jian’s remarks blocked her, leaving her speechless. Her expression darkened instantly. It was her first time lowering her pride to inquire about something, but before she could speak, she was stifled by someone. This…

In that moment, she felt the urge to kill Hao Jian. Initially, she thought it impressive how Hao Jian could persuade her dad, which slightly altered her perception of him. Suddenly, she found him less detestable. But after his remarks, Hao Jian’s image in her mind plummeted.

“Hmph!”

Liang Xiaohan snorted, her eyes toward Hao Jian filled with contempt and resentment. She turned and walked away without any hesitation. Hao Jian showed a helpless expression—women are really complicated. Just after one sentence, she got so angry.

Unfortunately, he’s not one to burn bridges, considering that her introduction helped him meet her uncle. Without her, a meeting wouldn’t have been possible. Therefore, he resolved to accommodate Xiaohan’s temper a little.

Just as he was contemplating, Liang Xiaohan had already walked quite far. He ran towards her directly. Xiaohan ignored him completely, and he didn’t intend to pay her any heed either. He ran up beside her and suddenly wrapped his arm around her waist. She squealed in surprise, and before she had time to resist, Hao Jian lifted her onto his shoulder.

“I… Hao Jian, what are you doing!” Liang Xiaohan asked anxiously.

After lifting her onto his shoulder, Hao Jian started sprinting towards his car without hesitation, wearing a smile on his face. At that moment, he was like someone abducting a girl and fleeing madly. On the way, Xiaohan kept screaming and pounding his back.

Unfortunately, this kind of harm felt like nothing to him, hardly making an impression. It felt more like being tickled. He didn’t respond to Xiaohan at all and just carried her toward the car.

Liang Xiaohan was shocked by Hao Jian’s unexpected action, her face white with fear. She already had some anger towards Hao Jian, but now her fury grew even more. If she had a knife now, she’d stab Hao Jian without hesitation. This was infuriating.

Although there were passersby, seeing them, most assumed they were a couple having playful banter. Even upon seeing them, people didn’t intervene, instead smiling as if thinking about how young people nowadays don’t care about occasions, flirting publicly without regard.

Hao Jian took a deep breath, opened the car door, then threw Liang Xiaohan onto the car seat and slammed the door shut tightly.

Even though the car seat was soft, Hao Jian tossed her onto it directly, without any buffer. He swiftly threw her onto the car seat, and the impact instantly caused pain in her back.

Though it didn’t hurt much, being thrown onto the car seat like that was still uncomfortable. Immediately, she tried to struggle to get up, but before she managed to, Hao Jian pressed her down with one hand, pinning her back into the seat. She was terrified and didn’t know what Hao Jian intended to do. She tried to open the car door to escape, only to find the door was locked tight.

Then, without a word, Hao Jian suddenly accelerated the car, reaching an extreme speed instantly, causing it to race wildly down the road. Liang Xiaohan initially wanted to fight back and show Hao Jian a thing or two, but the speed was too overwhelming. Whenever she tried to sit upright or stand up, a sharp turn from Hao Jian would knock her back onto the seat.

Hao Jian would then increase the speed to another extreme, scaring her so much that she no longer dared to attempt standing. She could only lie still on the car seat, fearing she might be shaken out of the vehicle. Although she wasn’t prone to motion sickness, the way Hao Jian drove made any nausea unavoidable.

After about five minutes, the car finally halted, stopping at a secluded hillside in the suburbs. Hao Jian opened the front car door and got out, then sat in the back seat and locked the car door.

Although it wasn’t too late, night had already fallen. While it wasn’t a deep, remote forest, the night still felt enveloping, accentuated by the sparsely populated suburb, which lent an air of desolate chill. If someone came here alone at night, it’s likely they wouldn’t, since the solitude and eerie silence would deter most people either due to lack of interest or fear.

So, when Liang Xiaohan suddenly gazed outside, she was instantly frightened. Why did Hao Jian bring her here in the middle of the night? Was he planning to… assault then kill her? Commit robbery and murder? Generally composed and unfazed by events, at this moment, she instinctively felt a chill run through her scalp.

Hao Jian climbed into the back seat and locked the door, his lecherous face staring at her, and her heart filled with dread, sensing she was in danger. However, at this moment, she was utterly helpless, only able to shrink into a corner. Who would have thought that the usually unchallenged bully at school, Liang Xiaohan, would appear so terror-stricken today?

With a sleazy expression, Hao Jian slowly approached her, intensifying her terrified expression. She didn’t know that if he only looked at her, she’d never react this way, but Hao Jian wanted to scare her, releasing an aura that naturally frightened her like this.

The reason she’s so scared now isn’t because of Hao Jian’s face or sleazy expression and actions, but solely because of the aura Hao Jian emitted; otherwise, she wouldn’t feel this way at all.

Slowly approaching her, Hao Jian saw her already backing into a corner. She instinctively said, “What do you want, you’d better stay away from me, or if you dare do anything to me, I’ll definitely tell my cousin, and she won’t let you off.”

Upon hearing this, Hao Jian’s face showed a bit of helplessness. They had been together for several days, staying alone as a young man and woman for several nights. If he wanted to do anything to her, could she still remain unscathed now? If he wanted her, he would’ve done so already.

Unexpectedly, she viewed him as such a person. Although he couldn’t quite emulate Liu Xiahui’s restraint, he could certainly refrain from acting impulsively. Indeed, the charming Liang Xiaohan had allure, but she was still only in her first year of high school; how could he bear to harm a girl like that?

He merely wanted to frighten the girl, but never expected her perception to be so. Instantly, he felt a little disappointed.

He chuckled and said, “Heh heh…”

This chuckle added to his already sleazy expression, and the sleazy aura completely erupted, making Liang Xiaohan instinctively feel a shiver down her heart.

This was the first time she felt such fear; she usually found other boys in front of her crassly insignificant, none capturing her interest, and none evoking such feelings. Now, in Hao Jian’s presence, she felt a profound sensation.

She felt a trembling from the heart.

Suddenly, Hao Jian withdrew his aura, and her oppressive fear instantly vanished.

Initially, she didn’t dare to block Hao Jian with her hand, but now she felt brave enough to reach out to do so. Hao Jian merely gave a smile, stopping right there, and silently stepped back.
