Wu Yue made her way to Yuan Lang’s cave. She called out several times but saw no sign of the beastman, frowning in confusion. ’Did that guy run off to find Grandma Hua Shu?’

Gripping the small root tuber in her backpack, Wu Yue’s brow furrowed. After silently cursing the beastman a couple of times, she headed for Grandma Hua Shu’s cave anyway.

As soon as she reached the cave entrance, she heard Grandma Hua Shu’s familiar scolding. She instantly felt invigorated, her mood soaring.

The blatant schadenfreude in her cheerful, lilting tone couldn’t have been more obvious.

Inside the cave, the beastman lifted his eyelids. ’Here comes the one who loves to watch a train wreck,’ he thought.
