The grand celebration began after the Priest. The Beastmen of the four tribes gathered, and the massive clearing had become the liveliest place in the entire region.

The Snow Tiger Tribe Leader smiled wryly. "How could I possibly change the witch’s decision? Can any of you?"

With that, he picked up a tender piece of meat and began to gnaw on it.

The other three Clan Leaders fell silent at his words. It was true. Not even a Clan Leader had the authority to change the witch’s decision.

Wu Yue sat by the fire, looking dejected as she roasted a piece of meat on a stick.

Qingcao came running from the middle of the clearing, covered in sweat and her face flushed with excitement.

"Yue, what’s wrong? You seem so listless."

Wu Yue sluggishly lifted her eyelids. "I guess I was too excited yesterday and didn’t sleep well. That’s why I’m a little out of it."

Qingcao replied, "You won’t be thinking that way after you’ve mated."

She finished with an incredibly suggestive wink.

Wu Yue retorted, "Whoa, that sudden move of yours almost threw out my back."

Qingcao heard this and immediately jumped to her feet. "Yue, you threw out your back?!"

All Wu Yue wanted to do was grab the nearest object and stuff it in Qingcao’s big mouth. Her shriek had caused all the surrounding tribe members to look over.

"I knew that little female seemed out of it today. So she threw out her back."

"Yue, maybe you should go see the witch. Your back is very important, you know."

The female who said this even gave a meaningful wink.
