Chapter 218: Chapter 218: We’re Saved

"You guys sleep. I’ll keep watch for now. We’ll rotate later."

This was the arrangement the three Beastmen had made before.

After all, they were in an unfamiliar place. They couldn’t let their guard down.

The light filtering through the cave entrance had vanished, signaling that night had fallen.

Just then, a series of Beastman roars suddenly echoed from above.

The three Beastmen’s ears twitched in unison as they woke up. "Have our tribe members found us?"

Teng Qian jumped up excitedly, his four tiger paws hopping on the ground. "We’re saved!"

With a massive tiger bouncing around, Wu Yue groggily came to as well.

The roars of the Snow Tiger Tribe Members outside continued. Her eyes lit up, and she looked at the three Beastmen beside her. "Have our tribe members found us?"

Yuan Lang nuzzled his massive tiger head against her neck. "Yes, that’s Father’s roar."

With that, he turned to Teng Qian. "Teng Qian, signal Father."

Teng Qian let out two excited low growls, struck a pose he considered exceptionally majestic, and was about to roar when he was suddenly slapped on the head.

The massive tiger was instantly dumbfounded. "Roar?"

"Don’t roar yet."

Wu Yue frowned, her voice serious. "Uncle Yuan Qi’s group isn’t the only one that came with us. There’s also a Hunting Team from the Black Wolf Tribe.

If we call them over now, the Beastmen from the Black Wolf Tribe are sure to follow."

Teng Qian let out a frustrated growl. "Even if they do come, how would they know these Crystal Stones are salt crystals?"

But Yuan Lang suddenly cut in, "Do you think you’re the only Beastman in the entire Polar Forest with hemorrhoids?"

Teng Qian: "..."

’Boss, can you please stop bringing up my hemorrhoids?’

He walked back to his resting spot, dejected, and plopped down. "Fine. I’ll just behave and stay put."

Yuan Lang used his massive tiger paw to nudge Wu Yue closer to him. "Get some rest. We have a busy day tomorrow."

Wu Yue sighed. "I hope Uncle Yuan Qi and the others don’t go too far."

With so much on her mind, she didn’t sleep well. She tossed and turned late into the night before finally drifting off again.

When she woke up the next day, only Teng Kun remained in the cave. He was sitting on a nearby rock, looking up nervously toward the ceiling.

Wu Yue’s heart clenched. She quickly sat up and followed his gaze. The cave entrance above seemed to have been disturbed by something; more sunlight was streaming in than the day before.

On the cave wall, two agile Beastmen were steadily making their way toward the entrance.

What made her heart clench was the realization that the entire cavern seemed to be made of salt crystals. Even the area near the entrance was composed of deep blue crystal.

It was a beautiful sight in the sunlight, but for the two Beastman Warriors currently clinging to the wall with their sharp claws, it was incredibly dangerous.

The crystal wall was smooth and not very stable. Furthermore, the area around the entrance was a flat plane.

To reach the entrance, they would have to hang their entire weight from the cave wall for the last few meters.

The two Beastmen clinging to the wall looked at the entrance, not far away, and fell silent.

"Boss, we can’t make it up like this. We can stand on the wall to distribute our weight right now, but to get to the entrance, we’ll have to hang from it. These salt crystals won’t be able to support our weight."
