Sweet like Wine: Love Your Dimples Even More-Chapter 123 - 64: Stuffing Two Pieces of Tofu In for Show_3
At first, Artie was genuinely anxious from his expression to his tone, but at some point, he switched back to the Rhyming Siren.
"Which number do you want your brother to call, Mr. Sterling’s or Master Sean Lowell’s?" Leo chuckled indulgently.
"Does Master Sean Lowell even have a phone? Then, of course, it would be..." Just as Artie was about to reveal his true thoughts, he realized there was a trap in his brother’s words.
A good brother, learning who knows what, digging a hole for his sister: "Then any number will do, Artie is looking for Summer, not anyone else."
Leo made a call to Gordon Sterling.
He knew his sister well, having spoiled her himself.
Regardless of whether Artie was worried about Summer Fairmont or aiming for some other achievement, if he didn’t satisfy his sister’s request "immediately," he would spend the whole day in a "living hell."
"Mr. Sterling, I wanted to ask when you guys got back from Brunschwig Distillery yesterday."
"Only returned this morning, it’s the first time in my life that we’ve had a police escort all the way home."
Gordon took quite a while to blearily answer the call.
Manager Sterling had also been busy until dawn because of his artist’s affairs.
"The police? Why were the police involved, and what’s with ’Uncle Policeman’? Where’s Summer? Where did you all take Summer?"
Originally just eavesdropping to gather some information about whether Master Sean Lowell was up, Artie couldn’t help but grab the phone upon hearing about the police.
"How would I dare take the great Miss anywhere? She abandoned us in the middle of nowhere and left us!" Gordo moved the receiver a bit away from his ear.
"You didn’t go in there with Summer? You actually let a girl go alone to such a creepy place, Gordo, how could you?!"
The Pouting Siren was angry. Moments ago, it was "you all," but suddenly it turned into "you," as if only Gordo hitched a ride with Summer Fairmont last night.
Gordo was already sleep-deprived and was patiently talking to Leo.
After Artie’s unfounded accusations, Gordo’s temper flared.
"Why don’t you think before you speak? If you lack a brain, at least shove some tofu in there for show."
After saying this, Gordo hung up the phone.
Gordo was patient with Leo due to their long-standing collaboration.
The self-proclaimed Winters Ambassador didn’t qualify as someone Gordo needed to give face to.
Artie felt very aggrieved.
Why does Gordo always target her?
Why in the world, is Gordo the only one who bullies the incredibly adorable Artie, frightening Heaven and Earth?
Artie’s eyes turned red; she was indeed alarmed, really wanted to find a topic to talk to Sean Lowell, but her concern for Summer was absolutely genuine.
If she merely wanted to mess with someone, there was no need for her to run over to Summer Fairmont’s place first thing in the morning.
"There, there, I’ll give you Master Sean Lowell’s number, you can send him a message. I’ll get up now and take you to find Summer, okay?"
"Artie wants to call Master Sean Lowell." Artie, having been wronged by the manager, wanted to unload on the artist.
Even if she couldn’t directly change managers, she wanted the artist to see the evil manager’s true colors.
"Didn’t Mr. Sterling just say they’ve just returned to the hotel? Master Sean Lowell is surely sleeping too. You send a message; if he’s awake, he’ll definitely reply. If he’s asleep, you’ll wait until he wakes up to ask, okay?" Leo would never have a morning temper when it came to Artie.
Artie’s expression still showed a bit of reluctance.
She was an activist, accustomed to acting on her thoughts directly. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
"Even if we reported a missing person, it’s not like we report immediately after just a few hours of absence, right? Think about where Summer might be, and I’ll take you to look for her, okay?"
"Mm-hmm, you’re the best, brother. Artie listens to you. Brother, send Master Sean’s number to Artie, Artie will wash her face and change clothes, and you do the same. Let’s meet later in the study, okay?"
Initially frantic due to concern, once she calmed down, Artie had every confidence in Summer Fairmont’s "survival skills."
Besides the Pouting Siren, Artie had never seen anyone who could bully Summer Fairmont.
But if her brother offered to help look, Artie would be absolutely in favor.
It’s clearly not Leo accompanying Artie to find Summer Fairmont; it’s clearly a brother helping his sister find a sister-in-law!
