Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 356: Hot Springs
The breakfast at the hot spring resort is quite diverse, catering to the taste preferences of all guests, featuring flavors from across the country and even special dishes from abroad.
Moira Young has always been picky since childhood, but the food here leaves her with nothing to complain about.
"What’s this?" Moira Young pointed at the small bowl in front of her, filled with curiosity.
"What? You’ve never had this?" Heath Sterling looked surprised, it seemed unlikely.
Judging by Moira Young’s expression, she genuinely didn’t know what it was.
After thinking for a moment, he explained, "This is an onsen egg, a type of egg, but softer than a soft-boiled egg. It tastes pretty good, want to try it?"
"It’s not cooked." Moira Young crinkled her nose in disgust, "It looks awful."
Heath Sterling was amused by her cute expression and chuckled, "How do you know it’s bad if you don’t taste it? Did you forget about the beggar’s chicken from yesterday?"
Under Heath Sterling’s persuasion, Moira Young finally mustered the courage to scoop a small bit and put it in her mouth. The texture melted instantly, the fragrant egg flavor slowly spreading in her mouth.
She happily squinted her eyes and couldn’t help but praise, "You’re right, the texture is really nice."
"Of course, anything recommended by this master is top-notch." Heath Sterling raised his head proudly, then called the waiter to add two more onsen eggs.
He patiently explained to Moira Young, "It’s said these onsen eggs are cooked in hot springs at around sixty degrees, which is why they have this liquid form."
Moira Young responded half-heartedly while eating, "Oh, really?"
Knowing Moira Young wasn’t interested, Heath Sterling didn’t mind and gently moved the udon noodles in front of her, thoughtfully preparing the soup.
Moira Young’s appetite had been unusually large lately, whether because of a bad mood or something else, she could eat quite a lot at every meal.
Heath Sterling once suspected Moira Young might be overeating due to heartbreak, but found that although she ate more than usual, it was still a normal man’s portion, far from binge eating.
After finishing a small bowl of udon, Moira Young was still unsatisfied and ordered another bowl of mixed sauce noodles.
The mixed sauce noodles here are exceptional, the taste beyond description.
Moira Young had been coming every day for two or three days just to enjoy a bowl.
However, the food portions here are not large, each bowl is small to allow guests to try various delicious dishes.
Half an hour later, Moira Young contentedly wiped her mouth, her face full of bliss.
"So delicious."
"If you like it, I can bring you here often," Heath Sterling said casually, but his gaze at Moira Young was full of eagerness.
He was waiting for her nod of approval.
Unexpectedly, Moira Young waved her hand, "No need, you won’t always have time. If I want to come next time, I can come on my own without troubling you."
"Why would it be a bother? As long as Miss Moira needs it, I’m always ready," Heath Sterling patted his chest to prove his sincerity.
He might not have time for others, but for Moira Young, he always has time.
"Come on, you can barely deal with your mom, where would you find the time to accompany me?" Moira Young spread her hands, expressing doubt about Heath Sterling’s words.
At the mention of his mother, Heath Sterling’s handsome face sank slightly, showing some embarrassment.
He cast a slightly apologetic glance at Moira Young before speaking after a long pause, "Moira, I’m sorry, my mom..."
"It’s okay, you don’t need to apologize. It’s understandable that your mother wants the best for you," Moira Young replied with a generous smile, showing she didn’t mind.
She could understand the sentiment of Heath Sterling’s mother but didn’t necessarily agree with her approach.
All mothers want their children to live well, which is human nature. But if one undermines another’s child for their own, Moira Young didn’t approve.
Of course, Heath Sterling is Heath Sterling, and his mother is not him. She wouldn’t transfer her dissatisfaction with his mother onto Heath Sterling.
After all, Moira Young has always focused on issues, not people.
"By the way, I’ve heard there’s a forest nearby for travelers to experience wilderness survival. Are you interested in giving it a try?" Mentioning his unreasonable mother made Heath Sterling slightly awkward, so he changed the topic suitably.
Wilderness survival?
Though Moira Young was raised in Julian Sinclair’s strict care from a young age, deep down, she enjoyed exciting activities.
This game sounded thrilling, sparking her curiosity immediately.
She decided enthusiastically, "Sounds fun, let’s give it a go."
"Shall we leave now?" Heath Sterling gestured GO.
"Heath, let’s go," Moira Young raised an eyebrow at him.
"Alright..."
The two excitedly arrived at the so-called wilderness survival experience zone, only to find a sign outside.
Written in big letters: Regular maintenance, open in three days.
Moira Young immediately experienced the feeling of going in high spirits and returning disappointed.
Her head drooped with disappointment, clearly showing her mood. Heath Sterling was about to pat her shoulder to encourage her not to be too upset.
Just then, Moira Young’s phone rang, and he awkwardly withdrew his hand.
"Hi?" Moira Young answered the phone.
"Moira, Lee found a highly profitable advertising opportunity, and I was wondering if you’re interested. The shoot is scheduled for the day after tomorrow, and the timing is somewhat tight. If you’re not interested, it’ll be okay, I’ll cancel it," Joe cautiously spoke, feeling a bit apologetic since she had called last night to suggest Moira enjoy herself.
Unexpectedly, instead of refusing, Moira Young’s affirmative voice came over, "Okay, I know, I’ll head back right away."
"Really?" Joe was overjoyed, "When will you arrive, do you need me to pick you up?"
"No, I’ll head back on my own." After Moira Young finished the call, she turned and apologized to Heath Sterling, "Sorry, looks like we won’t be able to experience wilderness survival together."
Heath Sterling shrugged, "Work is important, and we can’t play there recently anyway. We can come next time when there’s an opportunity."
Moira Young acknowledged Heath Sterling’s understanding with a nod, "Actually, I’m feeling a bit hungry again, I’ll grab some food before I head back."
"I’ll join you," Heath Sterling smiled.
"You won’t play?" Moira Young waved her hand, "I can get back by myself, it’s not far, no need for any trouble."
"It’s no fun after the company leaves; I’d rather go back together. I came here mainly to accompany you," Heath Sterling sighed, justifying his decision to leave without her was pointless.
Initially, Moira Young wanted to refuse but reluctantly agreed after Heath Sterling persuaded her persistently.
After eating, Heath Sterling accompanied Moira Young to a spot near AE company.
