Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 374: Cold Face
Joe shot him a glance, summer in Vesperia, especially during this time, it’s not that hot, he thought as he spat toward the person lying on the floor.
Moira Young sneered, kicked the person pinned down and unable to move, "Mr. Alden, I’m not bluffing. If you don’t want to end up in jail, you’d better behave."
"Did you hear that?" Aiden Webb echoed the threat in a deep voice.
Seeing Mr. Alden nodding hastily and frantically, only then did he stand up, pulling Moira Young away. Joe cast a glare at him before running forward.
"Damn." Mr. Alden spat, supporting himself against the wall as he stood up; Moira Young, he thought, she must kneel and cry underneath him no matter what she says.
"Are you okay?" Aiden Webb said, taking Moira Young to the room, raising an eyebrow with concern.
She shook her head and patted the shoulder of the person in front of her: "I’m fine, you two don’t need to worry about me."
Saying this, she turned and held Joe’s hand: "Are you hurt? Are you alright anywhere?"
Joe moved slightly and smiled: "No, I’m good, not that fragile."
Moira Young nodded.
"But from now on, keep an eye on Mr. Alden, and also be wary of Ruby." Joe said, and Aiden Webb nodded too, saying in a deep voice, "Call me immediately if anything happens."
"Don’t worry, definitely."
After saying that, Moira Young sent them off to rest; there were tasks to take care of in the afternoon.
In the evening, Ruby routinely visited Mr. Alden’s room.
"What’s wrong with you?" She asked, noticing the person next to her seemed absent-minded, giving him a push.
Mr. Alden sighed, turning to lie on his side of the bed, he found a lighter and took a puff of a cigarette.
Ruby leaned considerately on the man, her fingers restless, and asked again: "Something happened at the company?"
Mr. Alden squinted his eyes and exhaled the smoke: "No."
Her grip was careless, causing Mr. Alden to grunt in pain. Ruby partially sat up, examining him carefully: "You got hit."
He snorted coldly, snubbing the cigarette butt into the bedside table, telling her everything that happened in the afternoon.
"How do you deal with this woman to make her completely submit?"
Ruby pointed at Mr. Alden’s chest, speaking disdainfully: "What, aren’t you the one supposed to give me ideas?"
He grabbed the woman in front of him, pinching her waist: "You’re a woman, you must know better than me."
She laughed ticklishly a few times: "That’s easy, get her into bed, make a video, and use it to threaten her thoroughly to see if she dares to disobey."
"Good, good, you’re the one with the ideas, hahaha." Mr. Alden breathed deeply as the stifling feeling in his heart dissipated a lot, imagining Moira Young lying on his bed, all aflame while pulling Ruby closer.
"Wait, let me finish." She pushed the person in front of her, preventing him from getting closer.
Mr. Alden panted heavily: "Hurry up and say it."
Ruby’s eyes twinkled, and she raised her eyebrow slightly: "Who do you plan to send?"
"You’re not going?"
Seeing the man’s justified look, Ruby rolled her eyes in disdain and continued: "I’ll go, but Mr. Alden has to offer some benefits. It’s not easy to trick that woman."
Thinking of Moira Young’s icy gaze in the afternoon, Mr. Alden’s eyes darkened: "What do you want."
Ruby joyfully wrapped her arms around the man’s neck, "Give me fifty million more and boost me up, and I’ll certainly get her for you, even wash her up and send her to your bed."
Mr. Alden loosened his grip on Ruby’s arm: "That’s quite a lot."
Coquettishly, she gathered her hair behind her head and climbed onto Mr. Alden: "What, Mr. Alden is unwilling to spend such a small amount, or don’t want it anymore? Though I hate to admit, Moira Young is nineteen and indeed a stunner, much stronger than me. Aren’t you interested?"
For money, Ruby would say anything, even stepping on herself to boost Moira Young, she wouldn’t hesitate.
Mr. Alden looked at the woman in front of him with a calm expression, unmoved.
Ruby cursed internally at how difficult this man was, leaning close to his ear, whispering something, and Mr. Alden’s brows gradually relaxed with a leering smile: "Really, together then?"
"Of course, do whatever you want."
"Hahaha, good, then I’ll look forward to it."
After that, the two stopped talking.
In the crew, Joe watched Ruby performing, wrinkling his nose, and said to another assistant beside him: "What’s up with her, doesn’t see her being sarcastic towards Moira lately."
That person patted Joe: "You’re overthinking; maybe she wants to film seriously, doesn’t want to make things too tense."
Joe pouted, unconvinced: "Hopefully."
By the afternoon, an assistant brought coffee bought and knocked on Moira Young’s room.
"Ms. Young, this is from Moira for everyone to drink."
Joe reached out and took it.
Moira Young nodded and smiled lightly: "Thank her for me, she worked hard."
"No, no, no, I’ll leave then." Saying this, the assistant left, shutting the door behind.
In the evening, while the two were filming night scenes, Ruby messed up several times, somewhat apologetically putting her hands together towards Moira Young: "Sorry, it dragged you down."
She lightly shook her head, Moira Young said: "It’s alright, adjust and let’s continue."
Messed up a few more times, eventually the scenes for that night were completed.
"Moira, what’s with Ruby suddenly like she’s changed; perhaps possessed?" Joe lay on Moira Young’s bed, unable to figure it out.
Moira Young said speechlessly: "You’ve read too many novels."
Ignoring the rambling person, she got up to change into sleepwear in the changing room.
"Ding dong."
"I’ll get the door." Joe climbed up from the bed, calling loudly.
"Joe, is Moira here?" 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Looking at the harmless-looking Ruby at the door, Joe frowned, feeling it’s unwise to speak ill of people behind their backs: "What do you want with her."
Ruby smiled without speaking, waiting for Joe to let her in.
Joe wasn’t willing to let her in; unsure if she’s up to some scheme again.
After changing into sleepwear, not seeing Joe return, Moira Young walked to the door asking, "Joe, who’s here."
"Moira, it’s me, Ruby." With that, Ruby squeezed in while Joe was unprepared.
"Hey, you, I didn’t let you in."
Moira Young gave Joe a glance, smiling politely: "Why are you looking for me?"
Ruby gave a forced laugh and attempted to step forward to grab Moira Young’s hand, but stopped as she was held back, her smile growing deeper: "Isn’t it because we had conflicts before? I’ve thought a lot these days, realized my wrongdoing, and wanted to apologize, hoping you’d forgive me."
Joe moved beside Moira Young, murmuring under his breath: "The fox hugging the hen for New Year, up to no good."
Moira Young found it amusing, subtly pinching Joe behind her, her face turning cold: "No need, it’s better if we’re strangers."
