Chapter 386: Chapter 386: Little Sister

The elderly lady was momentarily stunned, then raised her head and saw Aiden Webb. Finally, she reacted with tears of gratitude, "Thank you so much, young man. Without you, I wouldn’t know what to do."

Presumably, there must have been something very important in the wallet, making it greatly valued.

"I never expected you to be so brave, it’s quite rare." Moira Young was somewhat surprised and patted Aiden Webb’s arm.

Actually, every move Aiden had made just now had fallen into her eyes. She was curious about how he knew martial arts and couldn’t help but ask, "How do you know martial arts? I truly didn’t know."

Aiden paused for a moment, then lowered his head, "I learned it as a child."

Moira nodded in sudden realization, but her eyes quickly filled with stars, as if she was very envious, "I really want to learn too."

Actually, he always wanted to learn taekwondo; it was a way to defend himself, especially since being out there as a girl can be dangerous.

But there was never a chance.

"What’s the point for girls to learn these things." Aiden Webb said.

Moira Young didn’t speak immediately but looked at him with a face full of confusion, not understanding what he meant.

Aiden quickly turned his head to the side, his gaze seemed much deeper than before, "I will protect you."

Even saying such words made him somewhat awkward. Moira Young was even more surprised.

She’d never seen this side of Aiden Webb; otherwise, she might have thought he was replaced by someone else.

A warm feeling inexplicably flowed through her heart, and she smiled gratifyingly.

"Honestly, why are you so good to me?" Moira sensed something was off and asked.

The two continued to walk forward while Moira Young was still stubbornly observing Aiden Webb.

Aiden Webb couldn’t resist her insistence, so he casually said, "Actually, you look a lot like my long-lost sister. Every time I see you, I think of her."

Sister? How come she never heard about him having a sister?

Although it’s hard to discern the truth of his words, it wasn’t appropriate to continue questioning, so she had to drop the matter.

Honestly, for someone like Aiden Webb who isn’t easy to approach, being tolerant and protective of her is quite like a brother.

Possibly because of the courage from having just drunk a little, she said, "Why don’t we become sworn siblings? I feel a particular closeness to seniors. If you don’t mind, can I become your sister?"

Aiden was initially taken aback, then looked at Moira Young as if he couldn’t quite believe it, but slowly nodded.

"Haha, then let this street lamp be the witness, from now on, I’m the sister, you’re the brother." Moira Young smiled slightly, like a bright moon in the night.

In a foreign land, under circumstances where no one else knew, this pair of sworn siblings became the closest of people to each other.

Half a month later, in the crew.

"Okay, cut." Marcus Mercer looked at the monitor, speaking into the walkie-talkie.

Moira Young hugged the fellow actor she worked with, turned and walked toward the director’s seat. Suddenly, with a bang, colorful ribbons fell from the sky.

"Wow, congratulations, congratulations, Moira wrapped up filming."

The surrounding staff applauded and cheered. Marcus Mercer rose from the monitor, holding a bouquet and handed it to Moira Young, while across the way, Aiden Webb followed Joe with a cake cart.

Moira Young was both happy and somewhat shy, with a smile in her eyes that seemed about to overflow, "Thank you, Director Mercer."

Taking Marcus Mercer’s flowers, they shared a quick hug.

Then she turned to the crew who had been accompanying her on the nearly month-long trip to Vesperia, and bowed slightly:

"Thank you for taking care of me during this time. You’ve worked hard. When we return home, let’s keep going strong."

Moira Young made a big heart over her head with one hand as she spoke.

Joe, across the way, made heart gestures with his hands towards Moira Young, while Aiden’s eyes carried obvious warmth.

"Moira, come and cut the cake." Joe waved her over.

She sliced the cake adorned with the successful wrap-up banner, letting Joe distribute to everyone before personally taking two pieces, one for Marcus Mercer, one for Aiden Webb.

"Do you eat cake?" Moira Young chuckled stealthily.

Aiden looked at her holding the cake like a smiling little fox, feeling some helplessness as he cleared his throat, awkward in expression, as he took it in hand, unsure whether to eat or not.

Privately, he actually loved sweets, a hobby few knew about, but this was sent by his "sister," sigh.

Aiden lowered his gaze again looking at the cake in his hand, his throat quietly moving.

After handing over the cake, Moira turned to stand by Joe, observing Aiden’s expression from afar.

Tall and slender, in shorts and t-shirt, yet somewhat clueless, he quite resembled the youth she remembered.

She couldn’t help but laugh out loud, and Aiden’s ears were sharp, he glanced at the woman laughing across the way, then turned holding the cake back to his dressing room.

Joe, with his mouth full of cake, his eyes bright, looked at the bent-over laughing Moira Young and said, "Did you find something amusing? Share it with sisters."

Moira blinked her long eyelashes, "This is a secret of my school, how can I disclose it to you." She laughed and patted Joe’s head lightly, "You just enjoy this Western treat, it’s really delicious."

Joe touched his head plaintively, watching Moira Young’s back while she returned to the hotel, crammed the rest of the large piece of cake into his mouth.

"Darling, wait for your Joe."

That afternoon, the group received news about a celebration dinner taking place in the evening. Feeling lazy, Moira Young said to Joe, who was eager to go shopping, "I don’t want to go shopping anymore. We still have to go out for dinner tonight, it’s so troublesome."

Joe froze instantly, turning his head quickly with a click, holding a chosen dress for going out, "Sister, didn’t you say differently earlier."

Moira pinched the teary-looking person lightly, her mouth curled up, "Ah, don’t you know women are fickle? Hahaha."

Joe wrinkled her nose, shook her hands, and dashed onto the bed, "Then I need to seize the advantage."

"Oh oh, my bed, return to your room, Joe Joe." Saying that, Moira Young also jumped onto the bed, neither yielding as they vied for a place.

The floral dress fluttered in the air for a moment before lazily landing on the ground.

By evening, at the hotel.

"Huh? Why is Professor Webb here so early."

The private room was already filled with guests when people noticed Aiden had arrived right on time, causing a bit of surprise.

"Hey, do you think he might be worried about not seeing Moira Young after returning home, so he wants to spend more time connecting?"
