Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 392: Taking Action
"That’s good, remember this time if someone catches a trace of you, you just..." Ms. Myers hooked her younger sister’s chin lightly and said coldly with a stern face.
The younger sister trembled, "Ms... Ms. Myers, rest assured, this time I won’t, I won’t."
"Get lost." She dismissed the younger sister with a wave, letting her leave.
Moira Young, let’s see who will help you this time.
Ever since Ms. Myers came to find her that day, Moira Young had been on edge. She scrutinized whoever approached her and tried to leave clues when no one was watching. Thankfully, there were no issues in the following week.
"Moira, are you going out next week?"
That day, after class, a girl from the same class walked with Moira Young.
"I don’t know, it depends on how much work the professors assign." Moira Young shrugged, speaking sideways.
The girl exchanged glances with her companion and continued, "Don’t be like that, come out with us. Our club is going for a team outing next week, they know we’re in the same class, so they’ve been urging me to get you to come along. Why not consider it and join us next week?"
Moira Young was a bit hesitant. She hadn’t left the campus for a while. Besides being scared by the incident with Ms. Myers, the heavy coursework contributed to her staying in to study.
"Well, let’s see how things are next week. If I have time, I’ll definitely go. It’s been a while since I relaxed."
"Wow, awesome, we can finally hang out with the star, hahaha, please, please, may the professors take it easy next week." The girl clasped her hands together, praying toward the sky.
Moira Young shook her head and smiled faintly, "Enough chatting, I’m heading to the library now, bye-bye."
"Bye-bye, reach out when the time comes, okay?"
Moira Young didn’t stop, waving her hand behind her as she walked.
"Hey, do you think she’s going to come?"
The girl, hearing her companion’s comment, pouted, losing her previously sweet demeanor, snorted with disdain, "Whether she goes or not, we’ll know next week. Anyway, Ms. Myers just said to get her out of the school."
"But, is it really okay to do this?" her companion hesitated and showed some fear.
"It’s fine if you don’t want to have a part in it, but then you won’t get any money." She glanced at the other girl, "I heard your family is waiting for you to send money back, and the money you earn from your part-time jobs seems a bit tight."
Her companion lowered her head and gritted her teeth, "I’ll do it."
The girl smiled and turned her head to watch Moira Young walking away.
"Wow, professor, you’re the best."
"Whew, I can finally watch my idol’s show this week."
"Oh god, I can finally catch my breath."
The professor watched the students sitting below, happily howling upon hearing there would be no tasks this week. Helplessly, he smiled, "Okay, quiet down. You only get two chances to relax this semester, and you’ve used one already. The next time will be in a month."
"Agh, doesn’t that coincide with exam week, professor, you’re gonna kill us."
"Alright, class dismissed, make good use of it." Packing his books, the professor smiled broadly and walked off cheerfully.
Moira Young let out a light sigh of relief, lying on the desk, feeling elated at the prospect of a break.
"Moira." The girl from before ran to the front row and lightly tapped Moira Young’s shoulder, "How about it, how about it, are you going, are you going?"
Moira Young focused her gaze, recalling last week’s events, and smiled as she nodded, "Are we going to the mountains?"
"Yes, we’ll bike up the mountain in the morning, have lunch there, and come back in the afternoon, no camping."
"Alright, sounds good. I still want to come back and read some books."
Hearing Moira’s agreement, the girl jumped up joyfully, "Yay, that’s great! I’ll tell them now, let’s meet at the school gate on Saturday."
"Okay, see you at the gate."
Without much thought, Moira Young continued her routine for the next two days – attending classes, eating, and heading to the library.
"Ah, sorry, did I bump into you, fellow student?"
Moira Young moved her wrist and smiled lightly, looking up at the boy dismounting from a mountain bike in front of her, "It’s fine, I’m pretty quick on my feet."
"That’s a relief, sorry about that, got carried away and wasn’t watching the road." The boy scratched his head apologetically.
His two or three companions next to him tapped him, apologizing to Moira Young.
Seeing they were fully equipped, Moira remembered what the girl had said earlier and casually asked, "Are you part of the mountain bike club?"
"Yes, yes." The boys chorused.
"Can I join your group? I’m interested but haven’t had a chance to join."
The boys were stunned, not expecting to bump into their goddess and not get scolded, and then have such luck, they all took out their phones for Moira Young to scan the QR code.
Moira Young joined the group with a smile, "Thank you, we might see each other in a couple of days." Without waiting for their response, she waved her hand and turned to leave.
It seemed this group wasn’t aware she was coming, nor did that girl explain why. Moira furrowed her brows and headed straight to the library. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Saturday arrived with good weather, the school gate bustling with pairs of students going out for fun.
Moira Young spotted the girl standing at the gate from afar and hastily hurried over, slightly out of breath, "You came early."
"Hahaha, no, our timing was just right." The girl squinted, waving her hand.
It puzzled Moira Young to see none of the boys she had met earlier. She scanned them closely and noticed one of the guys had a tattoo on his arm, it seemed familiar, and upon further inspection, she recalled Dion Shaw, her heart began to feel anxious. The more she thought about it, the more something seemed amiss. Observing the girl’s smile, Moira Young considered how they usually played together, but things could be unpredictable.
Steadying herself, Moira Young said, "I haven’t eaten, I want to buy a pancake over there, do you want one?" pointing to a pancake stall diagonally across.
The girl scoffed internally, what a hassle.
"No need for us, we’ve eaten already, go ahead, we’ll wait for you."
Moira Young quickly ran across, chatting with the pancake vendor, and pretended to pay while texting Evan Howard to call the police, then she returned with the pancake.
The group rode their bikes, reaching the foot of the mountain as planned, and began the ascent.
Moira Young led the way, gripping her hand tightly to maintain composure, her eyes glancing back occasionally.
Suddenly, a sack was thrown over her head. She struggled hard but was tied to a relatively hidden tree.
"Let me go," Moira Young shouted sternly at the group of men before her.
After the leading woman smiled, Ms. Myers and Dion Shaw emerged from behind.
"Well, I did my part, in this remote place, hmph." Ms. Myers sneered at Dion Shaw.
Dion Shaw’s eyes were somewhat vacant as he approached and touched Moira Young’s face, only for her to turn away forcefully.
