Sweetlove: Spoiled by My Childhood Sweetheart-Chapter 215 - It Wasnt Me
Chapter 215: Chapter 215: It Wasn’t Me
Chapter 215: Chapter 215: It Wasn’t Me
“What’s happened? What’s going on?” Meng Feifei ran ahead of the others. She saw Ye Wei’an standing in the center of the lounge, lips pursed as she looked at the violin case in front of her, her expression a mix of shock and heartache.
“My violin is damaged,” she said.
Everybody followed her gaze.
They saw an open violin case in front of Ye Wei’an, with a violin inside, its strings broken.
“How could this happen?” Meng Feifei couldn’t help but exclaim, moving forward she said, “I remember your violin is worth hundreds of thousands, right? Who would be so cruel as to intentionally damage your violin?”
The crowd exchanged puzzled looks.
“How can you be so sure that the strings were deliberately damaged? Ye Wei’an has yet to say anything,” Zhou Huaiyu eyed Meng Feifei suspiciously.
As the villa’s owner and organizer of this gathering, it was only reasonable for Zhou Huaiyu to help investigate the incident, especially as Ye Wei’an’s violin was damaged on his property.
Meng Feifei lifted her chin and retorted, “What else could it be? Vivian always takes such good care of her violin and certainly checks it after each use. Besides, it was just sitting there in the room. It couldn’t have just broken on its own, could it?”
“But who would go to the trouble of deliberately damaging her violin?” It would take a deep hatred and resentment for someone to destroy another’s violin worth hundreds of thousands.
“Naturally, anyone who has been in this room is a suspect,” Meng Feifei said, though her gaze drifted pointedly in the direction of Shen Zhaozhao. It was clear she suspected her.
After all, she had just left the villa not long ago.
Everyone present was no fool, and they soon turned their attention to Shen Zhaozhao as well.
The atmosphere suddenly became tense and awkward.
Shen Zhaozhao hadn’t expected to become the subject of scrutiny and frowned slightly as she said, “Why are you looking at me like that? Don’t tell me you suspect me?”
Meng Feifei scoffed, “If I’m not mistaken, you were just in here, right?”
Shen Zhaozhao: “I did come into the villa to look for you all, but I did not damage that violin.” Why would she do such a thing? It would be madness.
Meng Feifei scoffed again: “Of course, you wouldn’t admit it. Have you ever seen a thief confess to stealing in public?”
So she was determined to pin it on her?
“I’ll say it again, it wasn’t me,” Shen Zhaozhao’s gaze turned colder. The continual trouble-seeking was truly irritating.
She had never provoked anyone, yet here they were, hounding her like a rabid dog.
Meng Feifei pointed at her and accused, “If not you, then who? You’re just jealous of our Vivian, jealous of her beauty, jealous of her talent. Just now, you deliberately spilled food on her dress, and now you’ve secretly damaged her violin. Shen Zhaozhao, you’re just malicious.”
Shen Zhaozhao, having done nothing but now bearing the name of malice: …

She was witnessing what it meant to be charged with a crime without cause!
Ignoring the accuser, Shen Zhaozhao turned directly to Ye Wei’an: “Whether you believe me or not, I really didn’t touch your violin, and its damage has nothing to do with me.”
Ye Wei’an pursed her lips and, without looking up at her, said in a muffled voice, “I naturally believe you, but…” She didn’t finish her sentence.
She claimed to believe her, yet her demeanor suggested otherwise. Moreover, she seemed somewhat aggrieved.
