Talentless Extra Of The Legendary Hero Academy-Chapter 133: What did he mean
Chapter 133: What did he mean
"He’s not here," Derrick Vance muttered. He said it like a statement instead of the question that it should be, his figure clenched and his eyes narrowed.
In front of him stood a number of people. They stood facing the office of the Head Instructor, Darius Faulkner.
Julius Crane adjusted his glasses, but he didn’t say anything out loud, his thoughts locked behind a cold and calm face. In the months that Severin left the House on him and Ethan, he had shouldered the administrative work.
It was hard. He failed. He learned, and he grew.
Ethan himself, the vice leader of the House and the one responsible for representing it, wasn’t as calm as the others. His shoulder was knotted with tension, and his eyes on the building grew sharper by the minute.
Celia Hartwell couldn’t stand still. She shifted and changed position, her eyes always darting around.
Serena Ashford remained calm, her face seemingly composed, deep in thought.
They stood there and waited.
People hurried past them, but they didn’t give them much attention. It’s the House of Chains again. Those guys that always find a way to come to the front of the Head Instructor’s office every day.
It might be one of them. Or two. But always at night after training, they would be there.
Aren’t they tired?
Julius finally sighed. "He should be. Don’t tell me this bastard is actually going to go back on his words? That’ll leave a bad reputation on your name."
Ethan snorted. "He doesn’t care about his reputation though... unless it’s going to get him something."
Out of all of them, the one that was most baffled was Ethan. He never thought he would be doing something like that for a person that blackmailed him.
But there he is.
Derrick snorted coldly. "He’s probably dead somewhere. A weak person like that? What’s he going to do? Befriend one and find a way to turn everyone on each other? Or some kind of powers will fall from the sky and cover him.
"Use your head! He’s weak, even before he went to such a dangerous place. He’s dead! Or eaten. His dirty manipulation schemes won’t work."
They ignored him. Derrick? Derrick that was always the last to leave the front of the office each day?
Severin meant different things to all of them.
Derrick hated him because he was the first person he knew to fight back from the position of weakness. Who was weaker than Severin? But every time, he would stand there with that strange light on his face, as if he could take on the world.
Derrick didn’t like it. The weak should remain weak. As it has always been. As he himself, Derrick Vance, has always bowed to those who are stronger.
Ethan thought he was the most shameless person who would do anything to take advantage of others. Ethan doesn’t hate him, not entirely. He had been forced by the same guy to submit. But then, he also started on the journey to cure his addiction. To restore his self-confidence in his own power.
Severin taught him trust, self-trust. To believe in one’s power and capabilities. Slowly, he took him out of his sister’s shadow.
Julius’s own was complicated. He was perhaps the only one who saw Severin in his most light and the deep shadow that he cast. He knew Severin was using all of them. They are all tools.
But for Julius, he was a discarded tool before Severin came.
Celia Hartwell was different. Severin made her powerful. It was something she never had thought would happen. But it did. Severin did. It was enough for her.
Serena Ashford thought of him as hope for her dreams to restore her family. Hope for her crumbling dreams.
They all stood there and stared at the office. But he didn’t come, just like he hadn’t for the past three months.
Still, the halo above their heads still burned strong. His power on them was firm as always.
"Today is the graduation ceremony. All those who are not present will have a difficult time. They might have to wait behind," Julius said.
It was a truth. Something all of them had been avoiding saying. The final year was there, and they had all finished their exam, although the most important thing was that they advance.
Derrick shrugged and growled. "It doesn’t really matter. He should get here first."
Celia rolled her eyes. "I’m sure Instructor Ardent would put him back to speed."
At the mention of the mad Instructor’s name, all of them shuddered and looked away as if they were struck by something. If there was one problem that Severin left behind, it was the instructor that worked them to the tiniest bit of bones.
Suddenly, an alarm blared. They looked up with complicated expressions. The ceremony is about to start.
Derrick grimaced slightly. "Ah! Fuck it! He better be back before the ceremony ends or I’m going to be really angry!" freёnovelkiss-com
"Oh! Severin is so, so going to be in trouble when Derrick the mighty gets angry," Serena said and rolled her eyes.
Celia huffed. "Hmph! Let’s go! He might even be waiting in the hall already."
Julius adjusted his glasses. "You overestimate him, Celia. That bastard loves attention. If he’s here, he would have done something to draw all the attention in the Academy to himself."
They turned and left for the hall. They would be back later.

"What did he do to them? The Emperor might be interested in doing it to everyone," Darius Faulkner snorted coldly.
Instructor Ardent frowned. "Shouldn’t you be in the hall for the ceremony? And where is the Headmaster?"
Darius blinked, and he said with a deadpan expression, "We have a Headmaster? Here?"
Ardent gave him a flat look and looked around the office of the Head Instructor. "We do."
The Head Instructor shrugged. "Who knows? It’s not like he was always here. He’s probably somewhere in the Empire, researching or something.
"What do you want, Ardent? I have a ceremony to attend, you know."
