Talisman Reincarnation - All My Clones Are Dao Ancestors-Chapter 105: Ten Graves Five Tombs Gu Sect
After walking through the town, Teigu was led to a large building.
Inside he saw a rather luxurious setting: bear pelts were on the floor, exquisite woodsmanship could be seen everywhere and warriors walked through the hall, all busy with various things.
When they saw the Fortress Chief, like those outside, they would hit their chest with their palm and greet him before moving on.
The fortress chief walked to the end of the hall where there was a large table.
Teigu saw a map on the table –
It was a strategic map detailing the whole region around this fortress.
There were a few markings on the side leading to the inner region, but Teigu couldn’t make anything of it.
What he did see though were several circles outside the hidden barrier. He saw many of them, a total of fourteen.
Looking at them, then at the fortress and finally comparing his own memories with the terrain, he was roughly able to guess their distance.
’Did I miss all of them?’ he asked himself, looking at the three villages in the north-western direction.
"These are villages?" he asked when he saw the Fortress Chief looking at him.
"Indeed. Can you tell me which of these villages was yours?"
Teigu looked over the map.
He pointed to one of the villages northwest from the fortress, the second furthest village. There was only a single village further away from the fortress, and that one was in the north-east.
"It seems my guess was right." The Fortress Chief nodded when he saw that the village he asked his warriors to inspect was the correct one.
Teigu stood to the side of the chief, not knowing what to do.
His goal was to go to a town, and beyond?
He didn’t really know.
But something deep in him told him that he didn’t need to think about anything for now, just go and kill all demon Gu in the vicinity.
These beings were the evil, the enemy he would have to kill!
His Dao Heart which had already inclined to this path further pushed him.
While he was contemplating his future choices, he saw an older man walking with a staff enter the hall.
The older man looked at the chief, "Is what you said true? Demon Gu have infested the villages in our territory?!"
He seemed enraged when he thought of Demon Gu.
"Shaman, this is the boy that told us the story." The Fortress Chief directed him to Teigu.
Teigu nodded.
"How did these Gu look like?" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Hearing this, Teigu suddenly realised that while he did kill a Demon Gu Controller, he had never seen the cultivator take out his Gu and fight him.
But he was able to see the man when he was in the nightmare, so he simply described them, "They are small moth-like Gu growing in the body of humans. These people have to be around corpses all the time. I don’t know if you know them..."
"Human Birthing Corpse Gu!" the Shaman exclaimed, his shock great.
"Are you really sure they looked like that?!"
Teigu nodded. Besides these, there were a few more, but talking about them would be too much.
When the Shaman saw him nod, he turned to the Fortress Chief, "Corpse Gu are a specialty of the Ten Graves Five Tombs Gu Sect!"
Seeing that the Fortress Chief didn’t react, the Shaman explained, "This is one of the Gu Sects hidden deeply in the Human Dao of the Ten Thousand Kingdoms Region of the Central Region!
These... are extremely dangerous!
Their enemies have always been the Human Dao as well as the Witch Tribes further east. For many years, they have tried to take over the Witch Tribes.
If they are here, it means either the Witch Tribes have failed, or the Ten Graves Five Tombs Sect has changed their goal from the Witch Tribes to our Warrior Tribes!"
When he heard this, a deep frown formed on the face of the Fortress Chief, "Are you sure this is the case? For many years, it’s been known that we Warrior Tribes are the strongest among the three tribes!
We have combined the power of Gu, Warriors and Witches into our tribes, which is something the other two haven’t managed completely!"
"Maybe that’s why they attack us!
While the Witch Tribes are weaker than us, the Witch Tribes have unique and strong curses that can seep into the body of the Gu Controller even if they are far away.
While Natural Gu are the exact opposite of Demon Gu and have a strength advantage, we have too little Natural Gu to fight against them evenly.
And finally... the bodies of Warriors are extremely attractive for these Demon Gu!"
Hearing this, the Fortress Chief’s frown increased even more.
Meanwhile on the side, Teigu had to disagree.
The bodies of warriors? He had an innate distaste coming from his Gu when he looked at them. Their strong vitality had infected their minds, making it disgusting for the Gu to eat.
As for the Shaman? He felt equally disgusting.
In his vision, their minds were only half. One half was here, the other somehow far away.
He didn’t know whether this was the special case of this one or whether all Witches were like this. What he knew was that both of these were distasteful.
On the other hand, the mind of the Demon Gu Controller was delicious.
This can’t be denied, after all, they have to train their mind to control the Demon Gu.
He didn’t know how the mind of Natural Gu Controllers would be like, but according to his guess, those kinds of Gu Controllers were more like beast tamers. Their mind might be more delicious than that of normal cultivators, but definitely not as good as Demon Gu Cultivators.
"We have to send a message to the tribe about this. I only know so much, the Great Shaman in the tribe will know best about how to handle it. At least they will be able to hold a ceremony and ask the spirits!"
