Chapter 209: Another conspiracy

Tracy’s POV 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

"Enough, mum. I’m just like you. You want me to be this and that all at the same time, but I just can’t choose what I want to be. You are such a bully. Most times, I can’t even believe you. Tracy, you are an Alpha’s daughter; you have to act like that to attract an Alpha.

Tracy, no Betas in your league, you are supposed to associate with Alpha’s only. Tracy, you should always be the lead; don’t let anyone take it from you, do whatever it takes to always be on top.

The moment you cease to be on top, that moment you cease to be recognized in my home. So many expectations, Mom, so much."

I let out a sad laugh, while Mum just stared at me, dumbfounded. "You know what, I learned to always be on top, even if it meant bullying others to silence.

I made friends who are Alphas only; any rank lower than that is for my use and discarded when they are no longer useful. You want to know what landed me in this situation? I always wanted to be on top. If I became the student council president of Ashwood Academy, I could make you so proud, and I would stop at no length, provided I was never caught. Unfortunately for me, she has the Alpha successors wrapped around her fingers like a fly is drawn to food or light.

I don’t even know who she is or where she came from, and yet, since she appeared in Ashwood, she has given me nothing short of constant hell.

How do I even compete with someone who has the Alpha successors as her mates? She literally has the kingdom at her feet; she is just waiting for the right time.

And what shocks me is that nothing actually passes her; she always finds out about everything before it goes wrong. Mom, I hate her so much."

"It’s ok already, my daughter, I’ll find a way to end her," mum said.

"Mum, I trust you, because I know I’m nothing short of you, but I want to handle this on my own. I know her better than you know her, and I don’t want you meddling with Ashwood’s affairs. I’m the only Alpha princess heir to my father’s pack. If I don’t stand up to this little challenge, how do I stand up to the challenges that I may come across in the future?"

Mom nods her head affirmatively at me, smiling as well.

"Well, since you want to handle this alone, I trust you. If you need help, reach out. I’ll always be ready to help."

I paused before breaking the news to her. "Mom, Felicia has been detained in Ashwood’s detention room."

"What do you mean detained? What did she do to be detained?"

"Well, mom..." I started, stuttering a bit.

"Go on," she urged, her eyes wide.

"We came up with this plan to free another wolf who was mates with Aria’s former friend, who is now her enemy. He is a rogue wolf and has strong alliances somewhere. Liara, who is Aria’s former friend, had told Felicia of her plans to ruin Allison, who is the sister of one of the Alpha successors, who is friends with Aria, and also Aria.

She asks that Felicia be of help. Meanwhile, Professor Garrich, an insider, had already informed us that we shared a common enemy and that he would send her to us. We agreed to carry out this mission because I knew that Felicia had the skills. After working as the pack’s silent assassin for these years, I was convinced that she could carry out such a mission.

But somehow, she was double-crossed, and that landed her and Liara in detention, while Jackson, the came to save, was taken to the kingdom’s correctional facility."

"I see, so you decided to carry out such a mission with a professor in your academy, without informing your father or me, you didn’t even consider that we could have a brighter idea to offer. Haven’t you learned from your previous mistakes?"

"I didn’t think it would end up this way. So what do we do now?" I asked her, cracking my knuckles.

"Well, I have to go back to my drawing board and come up with a plan, or else she would stay there as long as they keep her," she replied and then walked out of the room.

Discussions with my mum always left me feeling more tense than I had before.

I had poured out my grievances to her, but why do I still feel this heavy?

Of course, I can’t be happy until I find out that Aria has been ruined just the way I had been ruined.

Just then, I got a call from Alexa.

"Hello, Tracy," she called out.

"Hello, what’s going on?"

"I’m sure you already heard what is going on in Ashwood."

"Yeah, I already heard, my sister has been detained together with Liara, and Professor Garrich has also been sacked from the office," I replied nonchalantly.

"Not even that, I knew that you must have already heard about that," she replied.

"Then what again this time, Alexa, please don’t waste my time."

"I heard that Aria, no, Mel is throwing a game night at her apartment, together with Aria and her friend Becca," she chuckled into the phone. "News has it that the Alpha successors will also be there."

"What about that? What am I supposed to do with such information in this state?" I asked, getting obviously irritated.

"I’ve got a plan that can ruin Aria."

"And what is that plan? Spill already, stop keeping me waiting."

"So I have asked Mel to allow Tricia and me to attend the game night, and we promised to be nice. I mean, it’s just a game night, right?"

"And so?"

"Mel is yet to respond since she said she has to get to Aria and Becca first."

"So what, Alexa, you are getting on my nerves with your little talk and excitement. If you don’t have anything else to say to me, get off my phone. I’m quite busy; in fact, I was quite busy before you called.
