Tang San's Twin Sister-Chapter 155
There was pure rage inside her. She had never been so angry before in her life. Red-hot rage coursed through her veins as she turned on her heel. A hand captured her, holding her arm with its fingers digging into her skin.
She turned around and looked straight at Jiang, who shook his head.
"Why?" She growled, the rage in full display as her gaze was shooting daggers at him. "You were hurt."
"I know. I took the risk." He told her, and her anger waned. "I risked it, Yin. Knowingly. The reward is worth the price."
"I see no reason why you should risk injury." She hissed. Jiang let her go.
"I know that." He said, his voice soft. "But sometimes one needs to risk something. Also, I don't want to lose. Not in this case. I could have said stop, but I didn't."
"Why?" She asked him and earned a dazzling smile from Jiang.
"Because it's worth it for me." He explained. "It will make me stronger, and I don't like loosing."
Now, the anger inside her ebbed down. She sighed, and the grip on her arm loosened. Casting a dark look at him, she pouted. "Do not dare to get hurt like this again." She ordered, but he shook his head.
"It will eventually happen again. You can't just explode every time it happens." He pointed it out, and she gritted her teeth.
"I will." she hissed. "It does not really matter if it's sensible or not."
"Alright," he said and let her go. "It's not like I can stop you. I just have to make sure you don't notice."
"No." She leaned forward and stared at him. "don't get hurt." She clarified. "make sure you don't get hurt. If you keep it a secret when you are hurt I will make you regret that understood?"
"Understood. I will try, okay. I can't promise," he said, and she nodded.
Next to them, Yu Hua grumbled, and the two turned towards him. "If you are going anywhere near kissing in the next few moments, not in my atelier. This is a romance-free zone, except when it's my own romance with my fabrics, got it."
"Who says..." Jiang leaned forward and gave her a peck on the cheek. Tang Yin let out a small eek and jumped almost to the other side of the room. Yu Hua sighed even deeper. "What did I just say."
"Nah, it's just a peck," Jiang said, a cheeky smile on his lips while Tang Yin was glaring at him. On one side, a bit outraged; on the other side, almost giddy. Then Jiang grabbed his shirt from earlier.
"Now I am visiting someone for my broken bone." Jiang was beaming when he hushed out of the room and left a somewhat befuddled Tang Yin behind. She blinked, a bit startled.
"Well, for whatever reason." Yu Hua turned to her. "Go change and then do me a favor, will you?" she turned at him. "do not ever, like, feed me dog blood like that again. If you two want to be all cozy somehow, then please, for God's sake, do it when I'm not there. I am single, and it can be depressing."
Tang Yin gave him a long look even though she realized very well that Jiang was quite...well, bedazzling and attractive and kind and a good friend...
She stopped thinking and then gritted her teeth.
"Yu Hua, for all matters and ways. I am over and done, men, in general, and relationships." She said, and he huffed as if to say, "You don't believe that yourself, do you?" And she agreed, she didn't, not really, at least not when it came to Jiang, but would she admit it?
No, she didn't want to, and if she was honest, she didn't want to admit that Jiang was getting to her in any matter of way. Not that way. Friends were one thing, but a relationship was another. She shuddered, somehow feeling a bit calm at the thought.
Yes, she was not about to admit to going anywhere near a relationship.
"Sure." Yu Hua hummed and then took out a Veil. "Here, try wearing this as well when you go out."
"Eh?" She looked at the thin fabric.
"You are going out with a century-millennium spirit beast; the more mysterious and powerful you look, the better, and you surely do not want to be recognized later on, do you?" he asked her, and she shook her head. "Great, you never know whom you might meet if the two of you are taking Skyway, and if not, do it for my aesthetics."
"Alright, all hail your aesthetics." She grumbled and put the Veil on. "I feel kinda stupid doing this. This thing is half transparent; it won't hide anything."
"Just do it!" Yu Hua shouted after her when she stepped out of the atelier and then unfolded the wings on her back, beating them until she was in the sky. High up, the world below her getting smaller. Floating up there was comfortable, the world below her very, very small, like a world of ants as the wind was blowing away.
Sea god Island was truly a beautiful place. Doing a twirl, she decided to make a short trip to the staircase, the landscape passing in a twirl of green below her as she soared. Stretching out her arm, she felt impossibly comfortable up in the air closing her eyes.
Soon, soon she would be back on mainland, and see Damian and Gale again. As well as Tang San, a warm feeling of cozyness spread thorugh her.
