Ten Thousand Dragons Technique-Chapter 329: Lin Xuan: What If I’m Just Messing With You!
Kneel to an enemy? That was more agonizing than death itself. The Crown Prince, in particular, found it impossible to accept.
In the swamp, the injured vines went berserk, frantically lashing at the Crown Prince and his retainers.
"Protect the Crown Prince!" Tiance roared.
They quickly formed a circle, shielding the Crown Prince. A vine whipped toward them, instantly flinging Tiance into the air. He spat out a mouthful of blood as half his body was blasted apart by the blow. The other men were also sent reeling, bleeding incessantly. In a single strike, the group from the Celestial King’s Mansion was severely injured.
The Crown Prince’s eyes turned crimson. Damn it!
With a thud, he fell to his knees. Gritting his teeth, he said, "Young Master Lin, I beg you to save our Celestial King’s Mansion!"
I can’t die, the Crown Prince thought. My status is too precious; I absolutely cannot perish here. As long as I can stay alive, there’s hope. So what if I have to kneel? I’ll survive and get out of here first. Once I’m outside, I have a hundred ways to torture Lin Xuan to death.
The members of the surrounding families and sects gasped in shock when they saw this. He knelt! The high and mighty Crown Prince actually knelt? It was unbelievable.
Upon witnessing this, Chu Yue felt a sense of balance restored in her heart. If someone as noble as the Crown Prince could kneel, then her own kneeling seemed more acceptable.
Sword Wushuang watched the scene with immense envy. When will I be powerful enough to make the Crown Prince kneel before me?
Just as everyone assumed Lin Xuan would save the Crown Prince and his men, Lin Xuan sneered. "Hmph, your Celestial King’s Mansion hunted me before. That’s a grudge not so easily resolved. Even if you kneel before me, I won’t save you."
What?
Everyone was stunned by his words. The Crown Prince was dumbfounded. How could this be happening? He had swallowed his pride and abandoned his arrogance, kneeling on the ground just to plead for his life, only to be refused.
He glared at Lin Xuan and roared, "Are you playing with me?"
"That’s right, I am. What are you going to do about it?" Lin Xuan retorted with a cold smile. He would never forget how the Crown Prince had led people to hunt him down. If he had been any weaker, he would have perished long ago. Why would he ever save such an enemy?
"Hmph, he deserves it," Hua Yan and the others sneered. They too had been hunted by the Crown Prince and his forces. Seeing him in such a miserable state was immensely satisfying.
The vines in the air descended once more, lashing toward the Crown Prince’s group. His heart leaped into his throat. Am I really going to die here?
But at that moment, the vines halted in mid-air. The Crown Prince opened his eyes, feeling the profound relief of surviving a disaster. The others exchanged bewildered glances. What was going on? Why did the vines stop? Could they be afraid of the Crown Prince? Impossible. The Crown Prince had already been crippled and posed no threat. Was it because of the Tyrannosaurus Spear he held? Was the spear threatening the vines? Everyone speculated endlessly.
Lin Xuan frowned, sensing that the vines were being controlled by someone.
He guessed correctly.
Far away, a fierce glint of sword light flashed in the eyes of the mysterious, withered figure. He gave a cold snort. "What? You don’t want me to kill this Crown Prince?"
"Fine, I’ll grant your wish," the figure continued. "But when I have need of you, you’d better fight for me with everything you’ve got."
"No problem," a deep voice rumbled as another figure emerged from the darkness. It was an old man with a pale face, his body pierced by numerous flying swords. From a distance, he looked like a hedgehog. At that moment, he knelt before a coffin, whispering, "Master, rest assured. I will fulfill your wish."
"Go, then. It seems that kid’s Sword Intent is formidable. The Demon Cloud Vine alone won’t be enough to kill him. Go and coordinate with the Demon Cloud Vine to bring him here. Remember, do not damage his body."
"As you command." The figure bristling with flying swords flickered and rushed off into the distance.
「In the secret chamber」
The Demon Vine paused mid-air, then abruptly changed direction and shot toward Lin Xuan, abandoning the Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince breathed a huge sigh of relief. He was alive! He scrambled to a corner, trembling with excitement. It seemed his luck was quite good after all.
Everyone else’s expression, however, changed dramatically. Four more vines burst from the swamp, joining the first one. A total of five massive vines were now charging toward Lin Xuan.
Yet, Lin Xuan remained unfazed. He unleashed his Sword Intent, letting it sweep out in all directions. Though his swordsmanship was average, his Sword Intent was terrifyingly powerful.
With a series of sharp hisses, Lin Xuan severed all the vines. Segments of the thick tendrils rained down from the sky, the five giant Demon Vines completely shredded.
"Fantastic!" Wan Tianming and Beichen were thrilled. Chu Yue also let out a sigh of relief. They had survived.
Sword Wushuang was simply stunned. So this is a complete Sword Intent? It’s truly too powerful! He was filled with an intense envy, wondering when he might ever possess such a power.
The crisis was averted, and Ye Qingwu and the others were ecstatic. But just when they all thought the ordeal was over, several more Demon Vines flew out of the swamp. This time, a human figure emerged from the swamp with them.
Someone else? Could it be the mastermind? I have to see who it is!
Everyone gritted their teeth and stared ahead. The next moment, they froze. The person was bizarre. It was an old man, his body pierced by so many flying swords that from a distance, he resembled a hedgehog.
"My god, who is this person?" they exclaimed, dumbfounded.
Lin Xuan’s expression changed the moment he saw him. At the same time, the Crown Prince, huddled in his corner, cried out in shock, "Elder Qian Xing, is that you?"
The Crown Prince scrambled to his feet, his body trembling with excitement. The other men from the Celestial King’s Mansion began to weep with joy.
"Elder Qian Xing, you’re finally here! This is wonderful!"
"Elder Qian Xing, you must avenge us! Kill that Lin Xuan!"
"Hahahaha, Lin Xuan, you’re doomed!" the Crown Prince roared with triumphant laughter. "Elder Qian Xing is a Nine-Star Grandmaster! Killing you will be child’s play!" 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
What!
The onlookers were stunned. This man who looked like a hedgehog was actually an elder from the Celestial King’s Mansion? And a Nine-Star Grandmaster at that? How was that possible? How could a Nine-Star Grandmaster enter these ruins? For a moment, everyone felt like they were losing their minds.
The faces of Ye Qingwu and the others from the Heavenly Dao Academy turned pale as they began to worry for Lin Xuan.
"Brat, you dared to make me kneel! You’re dead!" The Crown Prince was in a frenzy. He could already imagine a hundred different ways to torture Lin Xuan until he wished for death.
The others drew in a sharp breath, their worry for Lin Xuan mounting. Even Sword Wushuang sighed, convinced Lin Xuan was doomed. No matter how strong his Sword Intent was, he couldn’t possibly be a match for a Nine-Star Grandmaster.
What do we do? Ye Qingwu was on the verge of tears from anxiety.
Lin Xuan, however, just sneered. He recognized the man. It was indeed Elder Qian Xing, the one he had fought before. But he knew this wasn’t some Nine-Star Grandmaster. This was merely an avatar, a Two-Star Grandmaster at most. Lin Xuan felt no fear at all.
"This old fossil can’t do anything to me," Lin Xuan stated contemptuously.
"Keep bragging, boy! How could you possibly be a match for Elder Qian Xing?" the Crown Prince mocked. "Just watch! Once Elder Qian Xing makes his move, you are guaranteed to die!"
No one else believed Lin Xuan could contend with a veteran elder either. In their eyes, he had become far too arrogant. Did he really think that possessing a complete Sword Intent meant he could ignore everything? This time, he was surely doomed.
