The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter-Chapter 1040: BONUS - S: IN HER DREAM
Chapter 1040: BONUS ChapterS: IN HER DREAM
Iris felt someone nudged her cheek, as the wind played with her hair and caressed her skin. There was this sweet giggle noise from a little boy close to her ear.
Feeling a little bit disoriented, Iris opened her eyes right in time she felt this wet kiss on her cheek. Startled, she opened her eyes and found this little baby staring back at her.
The baby smiled, he gave her the sweetest smile, which was so cute and Iris felt her heart was warm.
"Morning..." the little one said cutely.
Iris couldn’t help, but smiling back at him. "Good morning, Zade."
She then looked around her, she remembered where she was. This was the pack House of Howling Wolf Pack. This room was the alpha’s bedroom and this little boy with cute dimple on his cheek raised his arms for Zuri to pick him up.
"Where’s your parents, Zade?" Iris asked.
The baby was only two years old, but he could speak really well. He told her that his father was in the garden with the other people.
"Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go there."
Iris rubbed her eyes and then picked him up. She was wearing this beautiful blue dress that complimented her eyes.
"Alright," Iris laughed when the little boy wrapped his arms around her neck. "You are big already."
Both of them then went to the garden where Iris saw there were a lot of people there. All of them were there.
There was Zander, Zenith and Zaya with their respective mate, Lou, Nala and their daughter, Leah. Ethan and Aliana, Redmond and Sofia, Will and Hanna, Jace and Penny, also Amee.
Not only that, when Iris looked down, because she felt this nudge on her hip, she saw Lil Thing was there, asking to be scratched behind its ear.
For a moment, Iris was taken aback, she felt like crying. This was her family, the family that she created throughout hardship and they stayed until the end. The family that she had craved to have.
However, at the same time, she knew it was only a dream because there was no way something like this happened for real.
Despite knowing that, she would enjoy this moment as long as she could, because they felt so real.
Lou was holding baby Leah, in this dream, the baby was only two years old, while Nala was arguing with him because he held their baby wrong.
On the other hand, Ethan was whispering something to Aliana’s ear, which made her giggled. They look happy.
"Dada!" Zade wriggled his body and Iris put him down, before he dashed toward Zenith, who opened his arms and hugged him.
Zenith’s eyes lit up when he saw his mother and approached her with his son in his arms.
"Zade managed to wake you up." He gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"I can’t resist his cuteness."
And with that, everyone’s attention was on Iris. They smiled at her and told her to join them.
"What are you doing standing there? Come here, sit here with us," Ethan said.
Meanwhile, Redmond scrunched his nose and commented.
"Have you looked at yourself in the mirror before you went out? Your hair is so messy, you look like you have wild grass on your head."
"Don’t say that about my mother, Red. I am going to kick your ass," Zander growled at him and Ethan slapped his back, which caused him to cough.
"My mother looks fine." Zaya glared at Redmond. "She looks beautiful."
"Yeah, she looks fine. Only a little bit messy." Lou rubbed his chin and observed Iris. "Her curls always like that every morning."
Nala narrowed her eyes at him. "How do you know?"
"How you know?" Leah parroted her mother.
Hearing them bickering like this, Iris could only laugh. They didn’t change at all and Lou loved his little girl so much, you could see it in his eyes, though he pursed his lips because Leah mimic her mother’s annoyed face.
There was one time when Lou was freaking out because Leah was sick. There was nothing to be worried about since Leah only got a fever, but he called all the healers that he could find to check on the baby. Not only that, even after doing so he still needed to come to Iris to make sure the baby was fine.
Iris found this very funny, how could she have these memories when this was only a dream? She realized this was not real, but she couldn’t care less about it because she only wanted to enjoy this moment with her family.
However, there was one person missing here. "Where is Cane?"
Hearing the question, all of them were smiling meaningfully.
"Today is your birthday, mother. Of course, father went away to prepare something for you. You know this is his ritual, right? And you know where to find him."
And somehow the memories return. It felt like Cane had done this every year for her birthday where he prepared a surprise. You couldn’t call this as a surprise because he did it every year, so there was no surprise anymore there.
Even so, both of them like it.
And when Iris turned around to find Cane, Redmon couldn’t help but reminded her. "You need to look yourself first in the mirror before you go and find him, just in case you will scare him." frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
"Mind your appearance, lady. You are the queen now," Lou chimed in.
They talked almost at the same time and they glared at each other because they basically suggested the same thing. Didn’t like it whenever they were on the same page.
However, Iris simply rolled her eyes and scrunched her nose at the two of them, she walked away as she her children Ethan, Aliana and the women bickered with the two of them.
Yet, Iris indeed saw her reflection first on the mirror on her way to that special place for her and Cane. And while she stared at her reflection on the mirror, she saw the memories returned.
It was memories where the grass was white instead of green, where the flowers look oddly beautiful in strange shape, and there was a waterfall not so far from there. This was the place where they spend their time together for the first time, not out of obligation, not out of oppression, but out of love for each other.
And after Iris was sure her hair had been tamed and her curls didn’t look so bad, she went there.
In her dreams, she only needed to walk for a while to reach that place. As if, it was so close and in no time, she found him.
Cane was sitting on the ground as he decorated the white grass with rose petals. He sensed her presence almost immediately and then stood up.
His smile was very gorgeous. He approached her.
"You shouldn’t be here. The decoration has not yet done."
"What to do? I miss you." Iris smiled and tiptoed to kiss the tip of his nose.
"I always with you, Iris."
"I know. And I will always find you."
This time, Cane kissed the tip of her nose.
