The Alpha King's Nemesis-Chapter 250: The Beast ()
The wall of the cell was cold against Zariah’s back, a perfect contrast to the hot pleasure wracking through her as Askel thrusts steadily into Zariah’s needy sex, his gaze holding hers captive.
His eyes were hooded, the quiet sounds of his pleasure further inciting Zariah’s already maddening arousal.
Any sound she could have possibly made was caught in her throat, she held onto him, surrendering the entirety of herself as he held up her weight, her legs securely wrapped around his waist.
"Beautiful...my beautiful beautiful woman..." Askel grunted, nuzzling his head between Zariah’s bare breasts.
His tongue darted out, tasting her skin and he groaned his approval in a low, husky sound.
Zariah gasped, her hands threaded through Askel’s hair and her back arching as the pleasure grew steadily, in time with Askel’s measured rhythm.
He took her slowly, there was no rush in his pace, instead it was more like a steady reverencing, savoring every moment through which their heated bodies were intertwined and connected in the most intimate manner,
"Every inch of you is the very meaning of my desire..." Askel whispered against Zariah’s heated skin, his breath warm.
His words were like a drug, the most potent aphrodisiac surging through her veins and fueling the flames of her already burning desire.
To think one could hold such potent feelings for a man, Zariah had never known it to be possible, not even across two lifetimes.
If this was what love felt like, if this was what raw desire felt like, Zariah had never known it... and every desire she had known before meeting this man was unworthy.
"If we are parted, I will know no other woman until we reunite...all that I am will only ever be yours, if I have failed you in everything else, I will not fail you on this..." Askel continued, his words a solemn vow,
And more than hearing it, Zariah knew Askel intended for her to feel it... and feel she did.

Their limbs were still intertwined and their breaths still racing when Zariah finally asked the question that burdened heavily on her mind.
"You have a brother." Zariah stated.
It was not a question, instead it was a direct statement that conveyed the fact that Zariah now knew of Morden’s existence and the question hidden in the statement simply sought to know why she was only now coming to know of it.
"I... I did not know until my father passed. Though I had my suspicions... I have only met Morden once, when I was much younger but I only realised our blood ties at my father’s deathbed."
"My father’s final instructions were to never mention his existence... and it was not a difficult request seeing as I barely know anything about him, so... I just brushed it aside." Askel said, his hands brushing Zariah’s hair tenderly.
"How then is the Alpha King’s jade in his possession?" Zariah asked.
"I lost it to him during our first meeting... I didn’t know who he was then but we made a bargain and I lost, so I gave it away to uphold my end... never really thought much about it since it angered my father and that much was good enough for me." Askel admitted sheepishly.
"Why?" Askel asked but it only took a moment before it dawned on him and he answered his own question.
"He is here for the Ethereal throne as well, isn’t he?" Askel asked knowingly.
Zariah did not respond, Askel’s question was obviously rhetorical and there was something else she was far more interested in.
"The beast...will you still not tell me how it came to be?" Zariah asked Askel.
Askel stiffened noticeably at that but he relaxed in just a moment after.
"Zari..." Askel began to say but Zariah interrupted him.
"Askel, I need to know." Zariah said seriously.
Zariah understood Askel did not wish for her to also be pulled into the investigation by the supernatural council, he had even assured Lord Kodin that Zariah knew nothing.
But on Zariah’s end, it was clear to her that she was already involved and she could never be uninvolved.
"It happened when I was seven..." Askel began, trailing off, his hand still mindlessly stroking Zariah’s hair.

"Askel!!" Ridge Niolen roared, calling for his son in an anxious and urgent tone.
Askel heard his father’s voice from where he sat, nose deep in a thick tome and Askel’s eyes widened in alarm.
Anxiety and urgency, these were not a good blend to put in the same sentence as Ridge Niolen and Askel could tell he would not like whatever his father had in mind.
Askel quickly hid away the volume, knowing it would only add to his father’s wrath to find him reading volumes rather than training.
And Askel hid it just in time for the door to the library to burst open, revealing a raging Ridge Niolen.
"You little...! Did you not hear me call for you?!" Ridge Niolen demanded.
Askel kept his silence, fixing his father with a blank gaze. He knew well enough that any words he said would only add to his father’s wrath and if he could not hold his father’s gaze, he would be punished for being weak. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Ridge Niolen huffed furiously, storming over to Askel. Ridge Niolen had received an important message from that respected figure, he would arrive to reclaim the precious item that had been left in Ridge’s care.
But Ridge Niolen had absolutely no intentions of giving it up, he had long coveted the power behind it and if he could not utilize it, he could at least make it his permanent possession.
But there were risks... risks Ridge Niolen was not willing to undertake himself and so there was only one other existence as close to being him as possible... his son, Askel.
Askel stared at his father’s gaze, he could not read the complicated emotions reflected in Ridge’s eyes but he took note of the hand concealed behind Ridge Niolen’s back.
Ridge Niolen had come with something...a whip perhaps? Or something worse?
Askel could not tell, but he braced himself for the pain he knew was to come.
But nothing could have prepared Askel for the moment his father lunged, plunging a strange black, jagged gem right into Askel’s heart.
Pain worse than death itself... Askel knew the meaning of that phrase on this day.
