The Alpha's Fated Mate Is an Outcast-Chapter 112
Chapter 112: Chapter 112
Lorcan cocked a brow. "Why?"
She threw the book she had in hand at him, pissed off. "Can you focus?"
Lorcan smirked. "I’d marry you and your sister if you’d just say yes to—"
A kick from her landed on his face and she gripped him by the collar of his casual wear. "Listen here, you animal. Don’t you ever even have that thought in your head. You are way beneath my sister and me and having us is impossible. So watch your tongue, because the next time, I’ll crush you and make sure to cut it off."
Lorcan slowly smiled charmingly at her. "Never say never, bumblebee."
Amora shoved him and watched him stand up from the chair, adjusting his shirt. "In the room that she is, turn the bookshelf. The passcode is 0921. It’ll let you into that hidden study. There is a door on the floor, open it, climb into the underground, and close it. I’ll handle Keelion myself."
Amora nodded and proceeded to leave with Augustus and Kaelis.
"One more thing," he said, causing them to pause. "Keep Alexis quiet under every circumstance, got it?"
"Why would you say—"
"Go! Now!" he glared at Kaelis who had questions.
The three stared at him for a few short moments before hurrying their way out of the room.
Lorcan stared at the door that led out of his room and breathed out. There was no doubt that Keelion would be tough to deal with.
He made his way out of his mansion and there was Keelion approaching in large strides. He looked angry, angrier than he had ever seen him before and immediately he knew this was no joke.
If this man ever even got a hint that Alexis was with him, he might just even kill him.
"Keelion—"
A heavy punch, one that threw him, sending him flying into the wall of his building landed painfully on his stomach.
He crashed into the wall and dropped with a pained grunt, his face screwed.
"Fuck, this is why I really don’t like you putting your hands on me, Keelion. Just what kind of strength do you have to hit me this bad."
Keeelion snatched him by the collar of his cloth and dragged him up to his feet.
"Where. Is. My. Mate?"
Lorcan stared straight into his eyes, saying, "I don’t have your mate."
...
The door pushed open and Amora hurried in first.
Keona was in bed with Alexis, hugging her as if to give her comfort. Noting their presence, she turned, blinking her eyes open.
"What’s wrong?"
"Alexis, we need to hide her, right now," Amora said. "Keelion is here. He knows she’s here."
"How?"
"I don’t know. The mate bond, maybe? I don’t know, but we need to hide her. If he finds her, all our hard work will be in vain." She approached closer. "How is she?"
"She’s breathing, but I don’t know why her body is hot, Amora. It’s almost as if she’s sick...like a human."
"That’s impossible." Amora shook her head. "She may not have manifested properly, but Alexis is anything but a human."
"I know that and that is why I don’t understand what is happening to her." Keona got out of bed. "She’s going to be okay, right? She won’t die, right?"
Kaelis glanced at the two women in confusion and approached the bed, reaching out his hand to touch Alexis’s sweaty forehead.
"Fuck!" He snapped back immediately. "What the hell is going on? She’s burning!"
"S-she’ll be fine." Amora held a frown.
"Why are you stuttering?" he questioned. "You two promised she would be fine! Why is she burning up like this? W-what if something happened to her?"
Augustus grunted under his breath and stormed over to the bed. He put his arms under her legs and shoulders, lifting her off the bed into his arms.
"Don’t you three see it?"
"See what?"
They stared at him in confusion.
"The mate bond is affecting her. Unlike Keeelion, she isn’t a stable omega, hell, I don’t even know. The mating mark on her neck is burning—that’s what’s making her sick, so it’s either we give her back to Keelion, or find someone to help her. If not, Alexis is going to fucking die!"
Keona turned to Amora. "A-amora, he’s lying, right? The visions by my mother said this was the right way. Why are things going wrong? Earla is going to be fine, right?"
Amora threw her head back and breathed for a few moments. "The visions aren’t wrong. We’ll find someone to treat Alexis, but now I need to keep her away from Keelion. Let’s go."
They hurriedly left the room with Alexis who was a burning mess. Augustus held her carefully, rubbing her forehead to soothe her. Though he doubted that would even work. If there was anyone who could fix her, that was Keelion and Keelion alone.
They made their way to the elevator that led to the second floor and stepped out once the doors chimed up. They were heading towards Lorcan’s bedroom, but all of a sudden, Alexis blinked her eyes open.
"Keelion..." she mumbled under her raspy breath, eyes foggy. "Keelion...?"
She lifted her gaze to Augustus who was walking, his arms coming tight around her. "Augustus, Keelion...h-he’s here."
But he didn’t answer her. What sort of mate bond did they have? How could she just know like this that he was here?
"ALEXIS!!"
The voice bellowed so loudly that both Kaelis and Augustus went unnaturally still, stomping on their feet.
That was Keelion—that was definitely him.
"Shit, shit! We need to go!" he snapped at Amora and Keona who pushed the door of Lorcan’s master bedroom open.
They stepped inside and shut the door.
But Alexis shoved at Augustus and fell out of his grip with a heavy thud. She rose to her feet without a second thought, staggering towards the door and yanking it open.
"Keelion..." Her voice was barely audible and she was sobbing. She had no strength and she felt as if she could die any moment soon. "Keelion. Keelion, I’m here."
She fell to her knees and proceeded to crawl if she had to. He couldn’t hear her. If she wanted him to find her, then she needed to shout. But she didn’t have any strength in her.
How would he hear her?
One should be enough. Keelion would find her if she just shouted enough even if it’s just once.
So she gathered every last bit of her strength and proceeded to scream his name. "KEELIO—" A hand slapped over her mouth—one that belonged to Augustus and the man lifted her into his arms as fast as he could. He held tight despite all her struggle and thrashing and took her back into the room.
Keona had already put in the passcode and so they went in, dragging the shelf back into place.
The door on the floor was right there and Kaelis pulled it up. Augustus went in first with Alexis who was struggling and then, Amora and Keona followed suit.
They shut the door.
