The Art of Pursuing: The Unyielding Ex-wife-Chapter 565: I Know You Have An Outstanding Fiancée
Qin Muni cradled a cup of hot cocoa, slightly raised it to sip the warm, sweet drink. Her heart felt warmly content, perhaps due to the snow, the hot cocoa, or perhaps the man sitting across from her.
The heavy snow covered the entire city, and from the hotel’s mid-mountain position, one could get a good view of the town below, looking as though it wore a new coat of pure white, beautifully draped in silver.
Fortunately, they had packed several warm clothes for their trip to Purple Clouds Mountain. After more than two hours of snow, the snowfall had lightened; they changed into warm clothes, put on gloves, scarves, and earmuffs, and headed downstairs to build a snowman.
Qin Muni and Xu Yisen happened to meet Ji Nanqing and Patrick, who were just returning from outside, as they went to build a snowman. Ji Nanqing and Patrick said they would head upstairs to change into thicker coats and join them shortly.
Qin Muni and Xu Yisen first went to the hotel’s back garden. Other hotel guests were having snowball fights and building snowmen there. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, with laughter constantly echoing in the garden.
The two of them found a quieter corner and started building a snowman.
Ji Nanqing and Patrick joined them shortly after changing their clothes.
The four of them played in the snow for over an hour, built two snowmen, and took pictures. By then, the sky was gradually darkening, and they each headed back to their rooms.
Upon returning to her room, Qin Muni quickly took a hot shower in the bathroom to drive away the chill that had gathered during their hour-long outdoor play.
When she emerged from the bathroom, she noticed a steaming cup of ginger tea on the nightstand.
Xu Yisen had also just finished his shower and was dressed in a white bathrobe, towel-drying his wet hair. He casually reminded her, "Have a cup of hot ginger tea to warm up."
"Okay."
Qin Muni gently bent down to pick up the ginger tea, lightly blew on it, and took a small sip.
The warm ginger tea slid down her throat into her stomach, instantly warming her entire body.
Qin Muni looked up to see Xu Yisen sitting in the armchair by the window playing on his phone. She approached him, offering him the cup and asked, "Would you like some?"
Yisen switched his gaze from his phone to the cup Qin Muni offered, "Okay."
He nodded slightly, accepting the cup.
Qin Muni picked up the towel he had left on the coffee table and gently began to dry his still damp hair.
"It’s easy to catch a cold and get a headache with wet hair in winter," she softly reminded him.
Xu Yisen lifted his gaze, watching Qin Muni as she dried his hair, a faint smile playing on his lips as he teased, "My fiancée is so considerate."
"Yes, I know you have an outstanding fiancée, don’t show off."
"True, such an amazing fiancée should be well hidden, can’t have others coveting her."
His nonchalant words made Qin Muni chuckle softly. She lowered her gaze slightly, meeting Xu Yisen’s deep eyes, which were gazing at her with such intensity that it felt like they were burning her cheeks red.
Her hands paused for a moment, momentarily lost in his deep eyes, before coming back to her senses. She playfully covered his head with the towel, letting it conveniently fall over his eyes.
"I’m going to get the hairdryer," Qin Muni said as she turned and walked away.
