The ascent of the SSS rank primordial of corruption-Chapter 44: Parricide of Vabrusk
"Lord David is an old friend of my family... It’s a bit complicated, but I promise to explain everything when we have more time."
Ethan said before stepping under the shower and starting to wash his body.
"Hm, okay..." Victoria nodded and joined Ethan in the shower, her gaze curiously studying the handsome and mysterious young man she now called her husband.
Soon after leaving the bathroom, Ethan and Victoria got dressed, taking advantage of the extensive collection of clothes that David’s maids had delivered as soon as they arrived at the mansion.
Ethan dressed as simply as ever: a discreet black suit and leather shoes.
Victoria, on the other hand, wore everything a noblewoman deserved: a long white dress with gold details, earrings of the purest gold from the eternal isles, and shoes with long white socks, also adorned with gold details, squeezing her plump thighs.
Walking beside Ethan, she snuggled under his arm, hugging him tightly and pressing her voluptuous breasts against his ribs as they walked through the luxurious corridors.
"Did you like the gifts? Lord David was very generous to give us all these expensive clothes..." Ethan smiled as he noticed the intense happiness on Victoria’s flushed face.
"Hm-mm," Victoria replied with a cute nasal sound, but her eyes were soon filled with a pensive expression.
"Is everything all right?" Ethan asked, sensing the fluctuations in her feelings through the connection they shared.
It was strange, as if her feelings were being transmitted directly into his mind.
He had felt it before when he had made her his lover in the system, but now that she had risen to the rank of wife, the connection was even stronger.
Hearing Ethan’s question, Victoria hesitated briefly before answering: "I’m fine, it’s just that... who are you really?"
Ethan stopped his steps and a deep look took over his face.
"Oh... did I ask you something I shouldn’t have? I’m sorry, husband..."
Victoria winced as she saw his reaction, but unlike the violent outbursts of anger she was used to with Stuart, what she felt was the sweet warmth of Ethan’s hands caressing her face.
"It’s all right, honey. It’s just that I’ve had some negative memories..." Ethan smiled, before fixing his gaze on a passageway that connected the mansion’s long corridor to a balcony overlooking the entire city.
"Come with me, let’s sit down for a while... we should still have about 20 minutes before dinner starts."
Ethan took Victoria’s hands and led her to the balcony, where they sat with a privileged view of both the bright and vibrant rich part of the city and the poor, dim and violence-ridden part.
"I’m not Stuart. I don’t want you to be afraid of me or to see me only as a man who provides pleasure and protection in exchange for absolute obedience.
I want you to know that I’m your man, and that nothing you say or ask will make me angry enough to hurt you."
Ethan broke the brief silence that hung between them, still bothered by Victoria’s startled reaction.
"I... I... I’m sorry..." At his words, Victoria sobbed, tears streaming down her face and falling onto her dress.
"You didn’t do anything wrong, darling..." Ethan touched her face and smiled gently as he wiped away her tears. "Remember, you’re my wife, and nothing in this world will ever deserve your apology."
"Really?" She lifted her face and asked in a sobbing voice, her eyes shining with love.
"Yes." Ethan replied before kissing her once more, their lips joining passionately as their tongues intertwined.
[Your heartfelt words strike deep into Victoria Whitemane’s heart, increasing her corruption by a hundred].
Their lips soon parted and they controlled their panting breaths as they looked into each other’s eyes.
"Ethan Darkheart... this is my full name," he finally revealed.
Victoria reacted calmly at first, her eyes still sparkling as she stared at her husband, as if nothing he said really mattered. However, after a few seconds, she froze as that name finally set off an alarm in her mind.
"Ethan... Ethan Darkheart, the parricide from Vabrusk?" Her eyes widened as she remembered where she had heard that name.
"Parricide of Vabrusk? Did I get a title? Hahaha..." Ethan laughed bitterly.
"That was a hot topic among the lower nobility a few months ago... everyone was talking about how the crippled young man from the Darkheart family killed his dying father in a fit of rage... You..." Victoria covered her mouth, interrupted by Ethan.
"I didn’t kill my father, even though I wanted him to die by my hand. In fact, even though he was ill and about to die, I would never have been able to kill him with the strength I had at the time," Ethan explained, a flash of fury in his eyes.
Parricide was a serious crime, probably one of the most repudiated by the population of the Eternal Isles, especially among nobles.
Receiving the title of parricide, even without being sentenced to death, was enough to destroy a life and condemn someone to eternal torment.
Of course, most of the nobles and powerful warriors of the Eternal Isles knew that Ethan would never be strong enough to kill his father, but did it really matter?
If Ethan, the useless cripple, wasn’t the killer, the blame would fall on Alice, the most noble, powerful, beautiful and talented mage of the last few centuries.
Most would rather lick the ground Alice walked on and accuse Ethan unjustly of a crime they knew he didn’t commit, than lose the chance to get on the good side of a genius like her.
"All right, darling... I know you didn’t do it, and even if you had, I’m sure he would have deserved it! "
Victoria sensed Ethan’s boiling anger and hugged him, squeezing her huge breasts against his chest in an attempt to divert Ethan’s attention away from the matter.
"Thank you, darling." Ethan returned her embrace, placing a soft kiss on her lips.
It was good to have a loving, supportive wife.
