The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress-Chapter 680 - 721: Kiki Turns Evil
Sileria Roast Duck, Sileria Black Beef, Sileria Braised Chicken, Nilesbeach Bulrush Vegetable... The pile of food that filled half of the kitchen truly shocked Sienna Johnson.
Keep in mind, this kitchen was huge, over three hundred square meters.
"Kiki, did you empty out Sileria City?" Sienna Johnson laughed lightly, teasing her.
Kiki laughed shyly. "I actually think I bought too little. With so many people on the island, this will probably all be gone in a few days."
"So, you didn’t bring these for me, but for the people on the island?" Sienna Johnson said, a hint of jealousy in her voice, her gaze on Kiki tinged with dissatisfaction.
Kiki pulled Sienna Johnson aside and whispered, "You charmed so many people on the island back then; I’m afraid you might have offended all of them. I was worried they might hold it against you, so I brought all these things."
Sienna Johnson was momentarily speechless.
Kiki, showing a rare streak of cunning, said, "You always say: when you take people’s things, you feel indebted; when you eat people’s things, you feel obligated. Once they’ve eaten what I brought, I doubt they’ll be able to say anything bad about you. If they dare to say anything, I’ll make them vomit it out!"
Again, Sienna Johnson found herself at a loss for words.
"Rest assured, all these things were purchased with Lucas Robertson’s money! I didn’t touch the money you gave me," Kiki whispered.
Lucas Robertson came in just in time to hear Kiki’s words. His heart turned cold. In this woman’s heart, Sienna Johnson and Curly were her family; he was, and always would be, an outsider. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Hearing these words, Sienna Johnson was exasperated but also amused. "Kiki, you’ve developed a sly streak. Don’t tell me Lucas Robertson corrupted you? You used to be such a naive woman..."
"I don’t have a sly streak. I just want the people on the island to like you."
"If everyone on the island likes me, then Sixth Master will be jealous."
Kiki fell silent for a moment.
"Enough about me," Sienna Johnson said. "How are things between you and Lucas Robertson? How are you two getting along? Have you accepted him?" When Sienna Johnson had left, their relationship was still strained.
Lucas Robertson had originally intended to come and propose marriage, but then Kiki had followed Adrian Desmond to Abyanabad and hadn’t returned, so it was delayed.
Lucas Robertson stood at the kitchen entrance, leaning against the wall, also eager to hear Kiki’s answer.
"It’s... as it is," Kiki replied dismissively.
"You’re not still thinking about Samuel Palmer, are you?"
Kiki and Sienna Johnson talked about everything; Kiki rarely kept secrets from her. "Mm, sometimes. I heard he came to Abyanabad too. I wonder if I’ll run into him now that I’m here."
The eavesdropping Lucas Robertson outside immediately became anxious.
He’d completely forgotten that Samuel Palmer was also in Abyanabad. Samuel Palmer was Kiki’s ex-fiancé! Back then, Kiki had really liked that Samuel Palmer. If he hadn’t interfered, the child in Kiki’s womb now would have been Samuel Palmer’s.
"Do you still want to be with Samuel Palmer?" Sienna Johnson asked sharply.
"No, I’m pregnant. How could I be with him?"
"Why not? If Samuel Palmer is willing, you can marry him with your child. It’s not like you and Lucas Robertson are married, right?"
Outside the kitchen, Lucas Robertson listened as Sienna Johnson encouraged his woman to elope with another man, and he was so angry his nose was practically crooked! He’d spared no effort for her, and this was how she repaid him. Lucas Robertson seethed with resentment. He made up his mind: if his woman ran off, he would never lift a finger for Sienna Johnson again.
"Elope? How could I do that?" Kiki retorted instantly, shaking her head vigorously as if Sienna Johnson had suggested something utterly outrageous.
Sienna Johnson burst out laughing, much to Kiki’s confusion. "What are you laughing at?"
Sienna Johnson teasingly stroked her cheek and chuckled, "You’ve fallen in love with Lucas Robertson. Just admit it!"
"No way..." Kiki protested, but the distinct blush spreading across her face betrayed her. She lowered her head, fiddling with her fingers, and fell silent.
Sienna Johnson dropped her teasing expression and said seriously, "Since you don’t have the courage to reconcile with Samuel Palmer, it shows you don’t love him enough. You’ve indulged Lucas Robertson’s advances, even letting him get you pregnant when you weren’t entirely willing. This proves you still have lingering feelings for him.
That being the case, why can’t you get over that hurdle in your heart? Why not give him a chance, and give yourself one too?"
Perhaps from spending so much time with Sienna, Kiki had also become quite stubborn; once she made up her mind about something, wild horses couldn’t drag her away.
"Sienna, you’re so smart. Help me figure him out. What exactly is he thinking? When I confessed my feelings to him back then, he said he couldn’t forget his fiancée and didn’t plan to marry again in this lifetime. It took me a long time to get over that sadness.
I was about to marry Samuel Palmer when he suddenly said he liked me...
Do you think that because I confessed to him, he assumed I could only ever like him and no one else, and that’s why he..."
Lucas Robertson had never imagined Kiki thought this way. If he didn’t step forward and clarify things now, this foolish woman would carry this misunderstanding for the rest of her life.
"It’s not what you think!" Lucas Robertson suddenly walked in, startling Kiki.
She put her hand on her chest, her face a canvas of surprise, annoyance, and embarrassment. "Don’t you knock before entering? You scared me to death!"
Sienna Johnson interjected, "This is a kitchen, not your bedroom. Why should he knock?"
Sienna Johnson took a washed mango and walked out. She winked at Lucas Robertson and mouthed, "Good luck." Lucas Robertson immediately understood Sienna Johnson’s meaning and smiled at her gratefully.
"Kiki..."
"Are you hungry? I was just about to start cooking. What do you want to eat? I’ll make it for you."
Kiki, so gentle and virtuous, still willing to cook for him even though she resented him in her heart. This was the kind of woman who had captivated him.
"Kiki, let’s talk."
Kiki looked up at Lucas Robertson and replied, "Mm, okay."
Lucas Robertson usually had a stern face, rarely showing even a hint of a smile. But now, a smile graced his lips, softening his usually hard features considerably.
She stood there, waiting for him to speak, but he just smiled and looked at her without saying a word.
"Didn’t you have something to say to me? Why are you quiet now?"
"I heard what you and Madam were discussing earlier."
Kiki felt a little awkward. She gave a small laugh and lowered her head.
Lucas Robertson walked over and pulled her into his embrace. They had never been this intimate before. After that one time when he’d gotten her drunk and things had gotten out of hand, she had consistently rejected him, even after becoming pregnant.
