The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress-Chapter 705 - 746: This "Mistress" is Really Depressed
Adrian was not at ease leaving Sienna behind by herself, and there was also Night Owl to consider.
Even though Night Owl had been quiet recently, Adrian knew him well enough not to think that he had given up. He was likely plotting an even bigger scheme and waiting for an opportunity to strike.
With such a large crowd today, Adrian feared Night Owl might take advantage of the situation.
"There are so many people here today, and Sienna is pregnant. I’m worried she might get jostled. I’m not at ease. Let me bring her with me. If my uncle’s issue is really not suitable for outsiders to know, I’ll let her wait outside."
"Sixth Brother, some pregnant women also came today, but none of them seem as delicate as her," Melanie Carpenter couldn’t contain her jealousy.
Understanding her intention, Sienna said, "Forget it. You go ahead. I’ll stay here."
Sienna had no interest in meeting Elliot Carpenter. She had two purposes for being here today: first, to let everyone know that Adrian was her man, and second, to obtain Elliot Carpenter and Melanie Carpenter’s hair to verify whether the suddenly appeared Elliot was real.
As for fighting with Melanie over jealousy, Sienna really wasn’t interested.
Aside from the fact that Melanie was once Adrian’s fiancee, Sienna didn’t have anything to be jealous about anymore.
"Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. I still have Paige, right?"
Paige assured, "Big Brother, don’t worry, I’ll take good care of my sister-in-law."
Adrian warned, "Stay with Paige. Don’t wander off. Don’t go to crowded places, and don’t follow strangers. If anything happens, call me. I’ll be back soon."
He was treating her like a child, but she was a grown-up, wasn’t she?
"Alright, you can go."
Adrian took a deep look at Sienna, then at Rosie Cooper and her sisters standing behind Sienna, warning them with his eyes to take good care of Sienna before he finally left with Melanie.
Watching Melanie’s retreating figure, Sienna asked, "I’ve heard that you used to be close with Miss Carpenter. Why didn’t she greet you when she saw you just now?"
"We weren’t as close as you think. We just met occasionally back then. After I married Kiya, I rarely managed to get out more than a few times a year. I seldom saw even my own brother, let alone her... Melanie... she’s really changed a lot."
Paige didn’t tell Sienna that when Adrian and Melanie were getting divorced, Melanie came to ask her for help to persuade Adrian, but Paige refused. After that, their relationship deteriorated completely.
Paige wasn’t unwilling to help but knew that Adrian was very stubborn. No matter what she said, he wouldn’t change his mind. Even if their father were still alive, Adrian wouldn’t have changed his decision!
"Yes, the Melanie I used to know is completely different from the Melanie now!"
Thinking Sienna was still concerned about Melanie being Adrian’s ex-fiancee, Paige explained, "My brother and Melanie really have nothing going on. His feelings for her are about the same as his feelings for me.
The marriage was arranged by our parents. When I was little, my parents arranged a marriage for me, too. But their family immigrated, and then our family went through a lot, so we lost contact."
"Your parents really liked to play matchmaker. What if you didn’t like the other person?"
"I don’t know. Maybe I’d run away from the wedding..."
"Parents choose marriage partners for their children by looking at their family background, character, and such. The partners chosen this way are usually impeccable. But love has never been sensible.
Two people who seem well-matched may not necessarily fall in love.
Like your brother and Melanie, Melanie resents me for taking your brother from her, but Adrian had not fallen in love with her for all those years. I don’t think their love would have blossomed after marriage.
Marriage without love is like a glass of plain water, tasteless.
Unless absolutely necessary, women should find someone who loves them because marrying someone who doesn’t love you is very painful."
Sienna looked at Melanie’s retreating figure and uttered a long speech, actually feeling slightly sympathetic for this woman who lost herself in love. How pitiful.
Melanie’s situation wasn’t bad. If she could move on from this hopeless love, she might find a different kind of happiness.
"Women should be more selfish. They can love others, but they must love themselves even more, so as not to get hurt."
Sienna wanted to say that if a man didn’t love her, she shouldn’t waste her feelings on him. However, as a party involved, she couldn’t say this without appearing to boast or lecture.
Being a "mistress" in this situation was quite frustrating for Sienna.
All because of that damned Adrian!
Otherwise, she wouldn’t always feel inferior to Melanie!
Her feelings for Adrian in the past weren’t irreplaceable. If she could choose, she wouldn’t stoop to being a "mistress" in their relationship.
However, Melanie was convinced that Sienna, the enchantress, seduced Adrian, ruined their marriage, and stole her happiness!

Paige agreed, "What sister-in-law said is absolutely right!"
The two of them exchanged smiles, feeling closer to one another.
"Huh? Isn’t that Kiya?" Sienna spotted a man walking slowly towards them through the crowd. The man had changed out of his traditional Abyanabad royal attire and now wore an ordinary suit and leather shoes, looking elegant and graceful.
Perhaps because Kiya rarely wore western suits in public, no one recognized him for a moment.
"It seems he still can’t let you go."
"We’re already divorced. There’s nothing to let go of." Paige hadn’t expected to meet Kiya here.
Why would the royalty of Abyanabad attend a birthday banquet of this level?
"Didn’t the newspapers say he tore up the divorce agreement? In Kiya’s view, their marriage hasn’t ended."
"Let’s go." Paige didn’t want to deal with him. But Kiya strode over and grabbed her hand. "Paige!"
"Your Highness, please show some respect!" Paige said coldly.
Kiya’s eyes greedily scanned the beautiful Paige. It felt like a lifetime since he had last seen her.
"Let go!"
"I’ve finally found you, how can I let you go?" Kiya held onto Paige’s hand tightly, clearly not intending to release her.
"Your Highness, what are you doing? Be careful, or I’ll accuse you of molesting me!"
"You are my Princess Consort! There’s no such thing as molestation!"
"I was!"
"You still are!"
"We’re divorced!"
"I never signed the divorce papers, so our marriage is still valid, and you’re still my Princess Consort!" Kiya stubbornly insisted.
Paige was even more stubborn. "This isn’t an agreement divorce. It’s a Courtroom ruling! The judge has already ruled us divorced! You and I are now strangers!"
