The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress-Chapter 738 - 779: You’re Ugly, Not Selling
Because Ernest Turner and Noah Phillips looked so much alike, Sienna Johnson was very interested in Ernest’s father and wanted to come out and have a look. Having seen him, she considered the matter closed.
She couldn’t help but marvel: How did a man like Jeffrey Turner manage to produce such an outstanding son?
It’s such a pity that his father turned out to be a big drug lord.
"Mr. Turner, I’m a bit tired. I’ll leave you to chat. I’m going now," Sienna said.
Ernest stood up as well and asked, "Auntie Agatha, where’s Curly? Why didn’t she come?"
Hearing that they were returning to Sileria City while he was going back to Himakati meant they would be so far apart that seeing each other again would be difficult.
"Oh, Curly went shopping with her godmother. You don’t need to thank her specifically. She saved you on a whim that day. That child doesn’t stick to anything for more than three minutes. By now, she’s completely forgotten about saving you."
Sienna, being an experienced woman, easily saw through Ernest’s little intentions.
However, as a mother, Sienna definitely didn’t want her daughter to find her a drug lord for a son-in-law. If Curly dared to choose such a man, she would immediately disown her!
"When will she be back?" Ernest asked.
"Probably very late, so you don’t have to wait for her. If you have anything to say to Curly, I can pass the message along for you."
Ernest was precocious and intelligent, with a clearer understanding of worldly matters than even his father. How could he fail to discern Sienna’s rejection?
"Please tell her, thank you for saving me," Ernest said.
"Alright."
Sienna left. Jeffrey Turner also dropped his earlier uninhibited demeanor, seizing the opportunity to discuss serious business with Adrian Desmond.
"Sixth Master, I’ve long admired your great name. I never expected we’d meet like this today. It must be fate."
Adrian had no mood to deal with him. He had only come to see Jeffrey after hearing from Adolph Desmond that Sienna was meeting Jeffrey. He hadn’t seen Sienna for several days and merely wanted to take this chance to catch a glimpse of her. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Now that the person he wanted to see had left, Adrian naturally had no desire to deal with a boor like Jeffrey.
"Mr. Turner, it’s getting late, and I have other matters to attend to. Excuse me for not keeping you company." Adrian also stood up, intending to leave.
Jeffrey had finally managed to meet Adrian; how could he let him go so easily? "Sixth Master, I came this time not only to pick up my son but also to buy a batch of arms from you. I want the Barrett heavy sniper rifle, as many as you have."
"Not for sale!"
"Sixth Master, the price is negotiable."
"It’s not about the money."
"Then what’s the issue?"
"You’re ugly, and I don’t want to sell to you!"
Anyone else with a temper, hearing Adrian speak like that, might have challenged him to a duel. But Jeffrey Turner was different.
Jeffrey chuckled, picked up his son, and used the boy’s face to cover his own. "Then don’t look at me; look at my son. This son of mine is exceptionally handsome."
Adrian’s mouth twitched.
"How about this: I’ll pay double the price. What do you think?"
"Not for sale!"
Jeffrey’s jovial smile faded, and his voice grew serious. "Sixth Master, aren’t you a businessman? Whether it’s drugs or arms, it’s all for making money. I’m offering double the price; why won’t you sell to me?!"
"I just don’t feel like selling to you. What are you going to do about it?" Adrian retorted, raising an eyebrow.
Jeffrey clenched his back teeth, meeting Adrian’s gaze. Adrian was strikingly handsome, his features rivaling even those of beautiful women. By Jeffrey’s aesthetic standards, he was just a ’pretty boy,’ yet the aura Adrian exuded was too powerful to be dismissed.
They were cut from the same cloth!
"Have I offended you in some way?"
"No!"
"Then why, Sixth Master, are you so hostile towards me?"
"You’re overthinking it!"
"Sixth Master, what will it take for you to sell me the Barrett heavy sniper rifle?"
"Not for sale!"
Adrian’s attitude was firm, which Jeffrey found rather amusing. "Sixth Master, are you perhaps having issues with your wife in the bedroom? To bring your emotions into business like this... Business is business. Who turns away money that comes knocking?"
Adrian remained silent.
"The beauties I’ve recently acquired have lovely figures and have been specially trained. Sixth Master, you’ll definitely be satisfied... Since you’re in a bad mood today, Sixth Master, let’s not discuss business. When you’re feeling better, I’ll come back to talk terms."
Adrian merely replied, "I don’t use other people’s hand-me-downs!" He then turned and strode away, leaving Jeffrey and his son behind.
"They’re not hand-me-downs! I haven’t touched them! They’re still virgins!" Jeffrey shouted after him, his loud voice attracting the attention of many nearby.
Adrian stopped in his tracks, his fists clenching so tightly they audibly cracked. He restrained himself for a moment, then decided against confronting Jeffrey.
"Why is this Sixth Master so temperamental?" Jeffrey muttered to himself.
Ernest spoke up, "Dad, you shouldn’t have offered women to Uncle Desmond."
Jeffrey stared at his son, perplexed. "What’s wrong with me giving him women? Exchanging women is the best way for men to bond. Those women are all stunning. If his daughter hadn’t saved you, I wouldn’t have been willing to part with them."
"Dad, not everyone is as lustful as you."
"You brat, how dare you lecture me!" Jeffrey grabbed his son and lifted him. "Your mom has been gone for years! Don’t I have physical needs? Are you telling me I should never touch another woman for the rest of my life?!"
Ernest looked at his father with disgust. "If I fell in love with a woman, even if she left, I wouldn’t touch any other woman!"
"Heh, son, come on, tell your dad, have you taken a fancy to some little beauty?"
Ernest remained silent.
Jeffrey slapped his son on the back. Ernest, unable to bear the force, coughed violently. Jeffrey said, "If you like her, then you like her! Look at you, all shy and hesitant, not like my son at all!"
"We’re nothing alike. Maybe I’m really not your son!"
Everyone who saw his face doubted he was Jeffrey’s biological son; even Sienna had asked about it.
"You little rascal, if you dare spout such nonsense again, I’ll beat you to death! If you weren’t my son, would I be raising you?"
"Then why don’t we look alike at all?"
Jeffrey grinned slyly. "That’s because I have good taste in women. I’m already ugly enough. When looking for a wife, of course I had to find a beautiful one. If I found another ugly one, our kid would end up as ugly as me. You, my boy, turned out well. You take after your mom; you’re handsome. I bet in another ten or twenty years, you’ll be even better looking than that Adrian."
Ernest was speechless.
Jeffrey touched his son’s face, remarking with emotion, "Indeed, a handsome face really pays off for a man. Look at Adrian’s wife; she’s even more beautiful than your mom. But no matter, you just marry his daughter and give me a granddaughter. Then our Turner family’s looks will be top-notch."
"Dad, I’m only five years old!" Ernest’s face turned red.
