The Billionaire's Mischievous Sweetheart-Chapter 19 - 16 Super Mario
Chapter 19: Chapter 16 Super Mario
This was unlike the cheap underground rings elsewhere. This place was resplendently decorated. The seats on the first floor were open seating, while the second floor boasted VIP luxury boxes encircling the entire ring. Each box was enclosed on three sides by walls, with the fourth side open, featuring railings for an unobstructed view of the fight.
The guests here were all VIPs worth hundreds of millions or more, commonly known as "BOSS Players."
The ring had a catchy name: "Emma Show Field." However, the "shows" taking place here were certainly not fashion week catwalks. The "shows" referred to live, flesh-and-blood combat performances featuring "Super Marios" designated by the players.
Far from a game, everything was the real deal. Each victorious "Super Mario" earned a substantial commission, so the girls who made it onto the "Emma Show Field" were undoubtedly impressive fighters.
"President Qi, such an honor to have you," a woman in a white cheongsam called from afar as she descended the jade-white glass staircase. She had bare shoulders, red lips, and a high-slit skirt from which her jade-like legs peeked out. Her fiery, voluminous red hair was casually draped over her beautiful shoulders. An aloof and stunning woman, she was known to the people here as Su Meina.
Qi Longbing glanced at her, his gaze then lifting slightly to settle on someone at the railing of a luxury box on the second floor. A faint, indifferent smile touched his lips as he said, "Manager Su, today, I really do want a good match. Send out my Super Mario." freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
"No problem, I’ll arrange it right away," Su Meina said with a gentle smile, her captivating eyes already catching sight of Hua Xiaomo following behind Qi Longbing. "Oh, this girl’s eyes... they’re truly stunning!"
Hua Xiaomo looked at the woman. A viper! That was the only word for her.
"Manager Su, aren’t you talking a bit too much?" Yu Bao glanced at her and frowned.
Su Meina saw that although Qi Longbing’s face still held a faint smile, his eyes had clearly turned cold. She dared not say any more and quickly headed backstage to prepare for the ring affairs.
Qi Longbing shot a glance at Hua Xiaomo behind him but said nothing and headed to the second floor.
By then, Yin Chenbai, the wealthy young master inside the luxury box, had already turned his gaze towards him. Yin Chenbai had a cigar in the corner of his mouth and a smile on his face. "President Qi, you sure took your time. I’ve been waiting for ages."
"Waiting to lose?"
"Uh... hahaha... President Qi sure knows how to joke. When have I, Yin Chenbai, ever lost?"
Hua Xiaomo, observing Yin Chenbai, noticed at least eight rings on his fingers and a gold necklace around his neck—a typical nouveau riche appearance.
But that wasn’t the point. The point was, his voice sounded so familiar. Where had I heard it before? Oh, right, it was him! The guy from the Rose Haosheng Hotel who was talking to Yang Junze, the one who said he’d buy my first night for five million...
A wave of nausea washed over Hua Xiaomo, and she instinctively pressed a hand to her stomach.
Qi Longbing caught a glimpse of Hua Xiaomo’s discomfort in his peripheral vision, but he said nothing. His gaze returned to Yin Chenbai. "Since we’re playing, let’s try something fresh."
"Great! If President Qi is in the mood, I’ll gladly keep you company to the end," Yin Chenbai responded with a laugh, his eyes shifting towards Hua Xiaomo beside Qi Longbing. Her fair skin had a rosy blush, making her look delicate and alluring. Dressed in a snow-white shirt and jeans, she was truly a rare specimen in a materialistic place like this!
"And this lady is..." Yin Chenbai looked at Hua Xiaomo, his eyes roving suggestively.
"I’m going to the restroom," said Hua Xiaomo, her stomach churning at the sight of Yin Chenbai.
Qi Longbing glanced at the man by his side. Yu Bao quickly got the hint and accompanied Hua Xiaomo to the restroom.
By the time she returned, two "Super Marios" had already stepped into the ring and were fighting.
In the luxury box, there was now a long-haired girl wearing a bunny ear headband, looking incredibly cute.
The new game they spoke of was such that if one’s "Super Mario" took a punch from the opponent, the loser’s "Bunny Girl" had to drink a glass of champagne. On the other hand, if they lost a round, they had to drink an entire bottle. As for whether it was still champagne, that was up to the winner to decide.
Some unlucky "Bunny Girls" were punished by the winners with a whole bottle of "Whiskey." They’d be practically brain-dead the next day, and cases of paralyzed limbs were not uncommon.
So, while the Bunny Girls appeared to be glamorously drinking with the wealthy, they were, in fact, gambling with their lives, barely surviving within this decadent and materialistic high society.
But money called forth countless brave souls. Thus, this was nothing more than a mutually consenting affair: the rich seeking pleasure and the women chasing money.
"Here, put this on." As Qi Longbing spoke, he handed her the bunny ears.
Is this the game of the rich? Playing however it’s most thrilling...
Hua Xiaomo desperately wanted to walk away, but she couldn’t. Even now, after spending the entire day with him, he hadn’t made that phone call. The pent-up frustration was almost driving her mad.
"President Qi, if you have your fun this time, will you make the call then?" Hua Xiaomo looked at the man’s handsome face; she found herself at a loss for words to describe him.
Qi Longbing glanced at her with disdain. His expression was coolly indifferent, his eyes holding a hint of elusive, devilish charm that inexplicably exerted a strong pressure. "That depends on your performance..."
"..." Hua Xiaomo was speechless. She snatched the bunny ears; in the next second, she wanted to smash them over his head.
Suddenly, the lights around the venue dimmed, the spotlight focusing directly on the "Super Mario" fighting ring. The intense hand-to-hand combat between the two women instantly captured everyone’s attention.
"It’s your turn."
"It’s your turn."
Hua Xiaomo had lost count of how many glasses of champagne she’d downed. Her head was already starting to feel fuzzy. She was eager for it all to end. But the thought of her mother’s surgery forced her to grit her teeth and endure.
Qi Longbing’s eyes held a clear glint. His slightly long black hair fell casually across the corners of his eyes, but that didn’t stop him from occasionally looking at her.
It was strange. He suddenly found her drinking surprisingly captivating to watch.
Especially when she lifted her glass to drink, small rivulets of alcohol would escape from the corners of her lips. The clear liquid trickled down her tilted, snow-white neck, creating a breathtaking, almost suffocating allure.
It was truly a pleasure to watch.
At some point, he realized his gaze could no longer stay focused on the ring—a first-time exception.
Just like with the Hua Clan...
"I really didn’t expect President Qi to be such a good Samaritan, going to pick up the Hua Clan’s scraps?" Yin Chenbai said, a cigar in his mouth and a mocking expression on his oily, powdered face.
If the Qi Family hadn’t suddenly intervened, the Hua Clan would likely have already become an easy meal for his "Tengfeng Century."
