Chapter 218: Chapter 124 No matter how pretty I am, I’m not as pretty as Wanwan_2
She didn’t distrust Lu Jingchen, it’s just that sometimes the reality she saw was far more convincing than what she heard.
Perhaps she really was Lu Jingchen’s first woman, but perhaps that was just sweet nothings from Lu Jingchen.
She took out the makeup remover and wet wipes from her bag and began removing her makeup, scooping some water to wash off the dirty spots on her face. Looking in the mirror, Song Qiao saw her face return to its natural state, which wasn’t much different from her made-up face, and she laughed inexplicably.
Suddenly feeling bewildered, she wondered what about her had attracted Lu Jingchen enough to make him marry her.
Just as she was putting the makeup water back into her bag, she heard familiar footsteps.
Song Qiao abruptly turned around, and immediately saw the man who had just entered. She froze, then quickly said, "Lu Jingchen, this is the women’s restroom, what are you doing?"
However, the man didn’t seem to care. Even though he had entered the women’s restroom, his expression did not change at all. He walked straight towards the woman standing at the sink and stopped right in front of her, only a step away.
His gaze was fixed on her, dark and obscure, and his voice, with a hint of depth, was very nice, "Feeling upset?"
His tone left no room for doubt, it was completely affirmative.
Song Qiao’s hand tightened around her bag, her brows slightly furrowed, and she denied directly, "No!"
But the man smirked, leaned down slightly to lift her chin, and his handsome face came closer. The warm breath on her face was filled with the faint fragrance of her body, "Your displeasure is written all over your face, and you say there isn’t any? Princess Pea."
Song Qiao wanted to step back to increase the distance between them, but there was no escape behind her, and with the height difference between them, she had no choice but to stiffen up and look up at him, "What does it matter to you whether I’m in a good mood or not?"
Possibly because she was really in a bad mood, Song Qiao’s tone was somewhat sharp, her eyes defiantly looking at the man before her.
Hearing Song Qiao’s words, Lu Jingchen chuckled lowly, leaned his head close to her mouth to kiss her, and then said, "We are husband and wife; naturally, I’m responsible if you’re not happy."
As the man leaned in, Song Qiao instinctively dodged backwards, her voice tense, "Lu Jingchen, just talk, do you have to get so close to me? This is a restroom, at any moment someone could come in... Mmph!"
Before she could finish her sentence, the man lowered his head and sealed her lips with his own.
She was already backed up against the sink, and the man now used one hand to grasp her waist and the other to grasp the back of her head, pulling her into his embrace. His lips kissing hers carried a hint of coolness.
Almost every time, this man seemed gentle and refined, but his kissing was always intense, as if he could swallow her up at any moment, unstoppable.
At first, Song Qiao didn’t struggle too much because from their time together she knew very well that the more she resisted, the fiercer his kisses became, to the point that he had bitten her lip open several times.
Lu Jingchen slightly narrowed his eyes as he looked at the woman in his arms, her completely submissive appearance causing his gaze to darken, and he finally stopped kissing her, letting go of her lips and increasing the distance between them.
Song Qiao looked up at Lu Jingchen without speaking.
"Since you don’t want to continue eating, I’ll take you to work." Lu Jingchen released the arm that was holding her and glanced at her indifferently before turning around, ready to leave.
Song Qiao watched his side profile, her eyebrows slightly furrowed.
How could she not feel that this man was in a bad mood now?
And the culprit causing his bad mood was her.
Although she didn’t understand what she had done to anger him.
After all, Lu Jingchen and Xi Mohan were brothers, so it was natural for him to bid farewell before leaving.
Song Qiao always followed quietly behind Lu Jingchen, a faint smile on her face that didn’t reach her eyes.
"I will take Qiaoqiao to the company first; consider this meal on me," the man said without any expression on his face, his tone just as indifferent.
Ning Yan’er, who was about to drink water, paused and looked at Lu Jingchen with slightly knitted brows, saying, "Jingchen, you’re not going to eat at home? You only had a few bites just now."
"Yeah, I’m full!" Lu Jingchen replied without any emotional fluctuation, and picked up the jacket he had set aside.
Xi Mohan looked at Lu Jingchen, then at Song Qiao standing not far away, and sneered, "The couple is having a little quarrel, Yan’er, let them be; after all, it’s not us who are hungry."
Ning Yan’er was about to say something to Lu Jingchen, but upon hearing Xi Mohan’s words, she turned her gaze to Song Qiao with an indecipherable look in her eyes and ultimately said nothing.
Song Qiao naturally heard their conversation, and upon looking at the steak in front of Lu Jingchen’s seat, she noticed it was almost untouched, with only a couple of bites taken.
She pursed her lips and turned to leave.
Hearing the sound of high heels behind him, Lu Jingchen turned back, only to see Song Qiao’s unhesitant departing figure, which sparked an invisible fury in his heart.
Already very annoyed, he became even more upset upon seeing that Song Qiao did not even wait for him.
