Chapter 90: I Need You

There he was, standing right in the middle of his room, half-naked. His shirt had been tossed aside, leaving his upper body bare. Ford’s strong and well-toned chest was fully revealed, his skin smooth and slightly tanned. His broad shoulders were solid and muscular, giving him a powerful appearance. His arms were thick with strength, the muscles clear under his skin with every small movement he made.

Ford shifted slightly, turning his body towards the door where Elena stood. As he moved, the muscles across his chest and stomach rippled and shifted smoothly, showing just how fit and athletic he truly was. His well-defined abs tightened naturally, drawing attention to his lean, powerful build.

His face was just as striking. Ford’s strong jawline was sharp and masculine, giving him a rugged charm. His short hair was slightly messy, as if he had just run his fingers through it. His eyes, deep and intense, locked with Elena’s the moment he noticed her. Those eyes, dark and piercing, seemed to see right through her, making her heart skip a beat.

Elena stood frozen at the door, speechless. Just moments ago, she had stormed toward his room, furious and ready to confront him. But now, standing in front of Ford’s half-naked figure, all the anger she had built up seemed to vanish into thin air. Her mouth opened slightly, but no words came out. Her cheeks flushed pink as she realized how shamelessly her eyes had been glued to his chest.

They stayed like that for a long moment, their eyes locked together, an invisible tension hanging heavy in the air. Finally, Elena coughed awkwardly and blinked, forcing herself to look away from his bare chest.

"Is there a problem? Do you wish to say something?" Ford asked calmly as he took a step toward her. His voice was deep and smooth, making Elena even more flustered.

"I... I wanted to say that I wasn’t done talking to you," Elena stammered, her voice much softer now. "You just walked away before I could finish."

The boldness she had when she marched to his room had completely disappeared. Now she felt quiet and small, as if she was no longer the lion she had been a few minutes ago.

Ford noticed the change immediately. A slow, knowing smile stretched across his lips. He was fully aware of the effect he was having on her.

"Is that all?" he asked, tilting his head slightly. "Why do you stress yourself with work when I could easily do it for you?"

Before she could answer, Ford moved closer, standing directly in front of her. Elena instinctively stepped back a little, feeling her heart pound harder inside her chest. She swallowed nervously, her throat dry from the tension in the air. She had never seen him like this before, so close, so unguarded.

He reached behind her and gently closed the door, cutting them off from the rest of the world. Elena stiffened, feeling trapped but not necessarily wanting to run.

"Why are you so stubborn? Can’t you just listen for once?" Ford asked, his voice lowering slightly.

Elena took a shaky breath. "No... I’m not stubborn!" she said firmly, finally mustering the courage to lift her eyes to meet his intense gaze.

"Finally," Ford said with a bright smile, clearly pleased to see her fighting spirit return.

"Finally what?" Elena asked, her voice small and uncertain. She was confused about what he meant, her heart already beating faster than normal.

Ford didn’t answer right away. Instead, he moved closer, so close that their bodies were almost touching. Elena could feel the heat radiating from his bare chest, and it made her even more nervous. She quickly lowered her gaze, unable to meet his intense eyes any longer. Her fingers fidgeted at her sides, unsure of what to do.

Smiling, Ford reached out and gently lifted her chin with his fingers, forcing her to look up at him again. His touch was warm and firm but tender. His rough, calloused thumb brushed lightly against her soft skin.

"Finally, because you finally looked me in the eyes," he said in a low, hoarse voice that made her stomach flutter. "Don’t keep your eyes down. Keep them on me." His voice was filled with something deep and serious, making Elena’s heart skip another beat.

Elena swallowed hard, trying to steady herself. "Emm... I think I need to leave. I shouldn’t have.." she started, but before she could finish her sentence, Ford leaned in and kissed her.

The world seemed to stop. Elena’s eyes widened in shock. Her first instinct was to push him away. She pressed her hands against his firm chest, feeling the hard muscles beneath her palms. But the more she touched him, the weaker her resistance grew. His kiss was gentle at first, teasing, asking for more without forcing her. Without realizing it, a soft moan escaped from her lips, betraying the pleasure she felt.

Hearing her response, Ford smiled against her lips before pulling back slightly. He rubbed his nose affectionately against hers, making her cheeks burn with embarrassment and something deeper she couldn’t name.

"You should have said you wanted more of me," he teased with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"No! I honestly didn’t! In fact, just forget this ever happened!" Elena snapped back, her face burning with a mix of anger and confusion. She turned around quickly and flung the door open, determined to leave before she completely lost her mind.

But Ford was faster. He grabbed her wrist gently yet firmly and closed the door again with his free hand, trapping her inside the room with him.

Before she could protest, he wrapped his strong arms around her from behind. Elena gasped, her eyes flying wide open. Her back pressed against his bare chest, and she could feel every solid inch of him. Most shockingly, she could feel his arousal against her lower back , stiff, strong, and impossible to ignore.

"I was just teasing you, baby," Ford murmured softly into her ear, his voice sending shivers down her spine.

He gently turned her around to face him again. Elena’s face was now bright red, her heart pounding so hard she thought it might burst. She could barely breathe, barely think, as she stared into his intense, burning eyes.

"I need you, baby," Ford said, his voice steady and full of emotion.

Elena stood frozen, unable to move or speak. His words crashed over her like a wave, leaving her breathless. Her eyes were locked in his, and for the first time, she didn’t know if she even wanted to escape anymore.

"I can’t hold myself back anymore. I truly have tried," Ford said, his voice raw and honest. "I’m sorry if it feels like I’m rushing you. I just felt like... I needed to tell you how I feel. You can take your time. I’m not trying to pressure you."

His words hung heavily in the room. There was no pretending, no games just pure honesty coming from his heart. Ford’s deep voice was calm, but there was an edge of desperation underneath, a longing he could no longer hide.

Elena stood frozen in place, lost in his words. She didn’t know how to respond. Her mind was spinning, her heart hammering against her ribs. Everything felt overwhelming. When Ford softly called her name again, "Elena... are you just going to stay silent?" it broke her out of her daze.

Without thinking, Elena turned around, grabbed the door handle, and bolted out of his room. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

Ford stood there, stunned, as he watched her flee.

Meanwhile, Elena rushed into her own room, her hands shaking. She slammed the door shut behind her and locked it quickly, as if afraid Ford might follow her. She leaned against the door, trying to steady her breathing. Her chest rose and fell quickly as she struggled to gather herself.

Sliding down to the floor, Elena squatted there, covering her face with her hands. He just told me he wanted to sleep with me! she thought, shocked beyond belief. Her cheeks were burning, her mind a complete mess of emotions , confusion, fear, excitement, and something she didn’t want to name.

After a few moments, she forced herself to calm down. Taking slow, deep breaths, she got up from the floor and staggered toward her bed. She collapsed onto it, feeling exhausted but still wide awake.

But after lying there for a few seconds, she shot up straight. "Why did I run?" she muttered aloud, frustrated at herself. "Damn it!" she cursed, flopping back down onto the mattress with a groan.

As she lay there, thoughts of Ford flooded her mind. His words, his serious face, the way his voice had sounded so honest... It was too much to process all at once. Slowly, without even realizing it, Elena drifted off into sleep, her dreams filled with confusing images of him.

Back in his room, Ford remained rooted to the spot for a few moments, his heart heavy with worry. "I only spoke my mind," he muttered quietly, running a frustrated hand through his hair. He closed the door softly and leaned against it, trying to control the storm of emotions inside him.

His body still burned with need, but he forced himself to hold back, knowing there was nothing he could do now. Pacing back and forth across his room, Ford couldn’t shake off the feeling that he had made a huge mistake.

Had he scared her away? Had he been too blunt, too soon?

Finally, he stopped pacing and rubbed his temples tiredly. His head hurt from all the overthinking. Defeated, he walked back to his bed and lay down heavily. The mattress creaked under his weight as he stared up at the ceiling, feeling empty and stupid.

He regretted telling her. He regretted letting his emotions get the better of him. Now, lying there alone, he couldn’t stop the wave of fear that he had ruined everything between them.

Closing his eyes tightly, Ford tried to force himself to sleep, hoping the morning would bring some clarity or at least, a little less pain. One of his hands rested tensely over his arousal, trying to hold it down.

But even with his eyes closed, all he could think about was Elena.
