Chapter 725: Chapter 444: Turbulence

On the third day of the Miracle Meeting.

Early in the morning, Colin had arrived at Cloud Square.

Ryden wasn’t with him today, as it seemed he had been called away by Titus to attend to some matters. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

Ryden was different from him after all, being the most outstanding young talent of Merredith City, he also shouldered significant responsibilities. Therefore, during the free exchange sessions of the Miracle Meeting, he had many more things to do.

Stepping out of the Transmission Array, Cloud Square had transformed again today.

The seats that had resembled a soccer stadium had vanished, replaced by an array of towers of various shapes and sizes.

Some towers stood tall while others were shorter, but all radiated a mystical witchcraft glow, with each accompanied by a simple explanatory sign.

The most conspicuous were undoubtedly the nine Magic Towers in the center, erected in a circle on what was originally a high platform.

Without a doubt, these Magic Towers contained the knowledge showcased by the nine Miracle Cities over the past two days—state-of-the-art witchcraft knowledge.

Among them, the black Magic Tower located at the southeast corner had been established by Graham City.

Colin searched further and, at last, spotted the Magic Tower established by the Staney Family, known for their adeptness in witchcraft modifications, tucked away in a corner to the east.

Remembering its location, he made his way first toward the black Magic Tower set up by Graham.

As he approached the Magic Tower, a familiar voice suddenly carried over.

"How so, Sapona, are you scared just because you didn’t choose one of Pansai City’s Magic Towers?"

"It’s ludicrous you’d even think that; I’m not an idiot. Today we’re competing in conquering the Magic Towers; naturally, I can’t choose the ones set up by Pansai City."

Taking a few more steps, Colin saw two groups of Wizards confronting each other in front of the black Magic Tower of Graham.

Standing alone was Andy, and opposite him were the people from Sapona, a conspicuous gathering.

After all, other than Pansai City’s Magic Towers, the nine central Magic Towers had only these people’s presence; the rest were largely deserted.

Without stopping, Colin continued forward.

Andy, who was by the door to the right of the Magic Tower, was the first to notice Colin approaching, and even his usually nonchalant face couldn’t help but show a brief shock.

"Scared? When have I ever been scared?"

Sapona, who had his back to Colin, remained oblivious, simply stubbornly emphasizing.

"Just because I didn’t pick the Magic Towers you mentioned, doesn’t mean we can pick the ones you talked about!"

"Good morning, we meet again." Colin greeted Andy.

"Good morning... Councilman." Andy, coming back to his senses, first performed a practiced bow, then looked up with a smile and said, "I thought your identity might not be simple, but I never imagined... it would be so extraordinary."

Colin smiled, not following up, merely stating, "I’m off to conquer the Magic Tower. You continue."

Watching him walk into the Magic Tower, Andy couldn’t easily shake off the astonishment in his eyes.

As for Sapona beside him, his eyes widened even more.

His friends behind him were no better off, all staring in disbelief.

Some who didn’t remember Colin inquired in confusion:

"Who is that Councilman? Why do I feel like I’ve seen him somewhere before?"

"When did Andy meet a councilman?"

"..."

Andy turned his head back and gazing at Sapona, he suddenly smiled and asked, "Do you still want to continue the challenge of conquering the Magic Tower?"

"...Of course!" Sapona’s face shifted through several expressions before he finally gritted his teeth and said.

"Alright, then which Magic Tower do you choose?" Andy nodded, looking pleased.

Sapona looked around and finally let his gaze settle on the black Magic Tower in front of him, "Let’s go with this one from Graham."

"Fine." Andy nodded once more and prepared to step into the adjacent Magic Tower.

Magic Towers were not actual tall structures, so when Wizards entered, they did not encounter one another.

As a trade-off, the number of people that a Magic Tower could accommodate at the same time was limited.

However, as it appeared just moments before, no one had yet entered Graham’s Magic Tower, and accommodating just the three of them would naturally not be an issue.

Andy’s steps were decisive. In a moment, he had crossed the threshold of the Magic Tower, and his figure immediately vanished from sight.

Sapona snorted coldly and followed closely behind, though his mind was still occupied with the image of Colin, feeling a bit regretful.

That Wizard... was actually a councilman?!

If only he had known three days ago, he should have spoken up before Andy to assist the councilman... Now the favor had simply been handed to Andy all too easily.

"That councilman from just now, was it really the same Wizard we saw breaking into the auction three days ago?"

A Wizard behind couldn’t help but call out for confirmation.

Sapona paused slightly, then replied in a muffled voice, "Hmm."

Then he quickened his pace, ignoring the gasps of surprise from behind, and entered the Magic Tower.

It was as if he had crossed some thin barrier, and for a moment Sapona’s vision blurred before he found himself in a plain black hall.

The hall was empty except for a pale blue crystal floating in the center. This was the first floor of the Magic Tower.

The number of floors in a Magic Tower depended on its creator, and the one established by Graham City had a total of three levels.

As for the specific challenges on each level and the knowledge gained after passing these challenges, that too depended on the creator.

Of course, these challenges and pieces of knowledge also had to comply with the conventions of Miracle City, and as a general rule, there would be no impossible challenges or substandard knowledge.
