Chapter 773: Chapter 465: The Gathering of Wizards

Clara Island’s castle was not overwhelmingly huge, but it was by no means small, with the main fortress being somewhat larger than the one belonging to the Lap School on Blackstone Island.

However, the underground of the castle was exceptionally cramped, totaling only about a hundred square feet over two levels.

The stairs leading to the second sub-level were securely sealed off by restrictions, making direct descent impossible and obscuring vision to prevent one from glimpsing the specifics of the second level.

But Colin surmised that below was likely where the defense hub of Clara Castle was housed.

Turning into the first level, the space of over a hundred square feet was simply divided into two rooms, connected by a corridor on the far left.

At that moment, Mill stood in front of the door to the first room.

"Good evening, both of you."

"Good evening, Lord Mill," Colin and his companion bowed.

Mill nodded gently, exuding a gentle demeanor like flowing water, "Please come in quickly, as everyone will soon arrive. Today’s training will take place in the first room on the underground level one, and depending on the content, we might move to the second room later."

"Alright, Lord Mill."

Colin and his companion nodded and entered the room on the right together.

Stepping through the door, they found a row of six brown wooden chairs and a high podium inlaid with crystals.

Three individuals were already seated, keeping a chair’s distance apart. Besides the familiar, burly figure of Yeats, there were two beautiful female witches.

The two women were of similar height, though the one with chestnut hair on the left was somewhat slimmer, while the golden-haired one on the right was slightly plump.

Since the three were seated with a gap between them, Colin and Ryden evidently could only sit in the middle of the group.

"I don’t like interacting with people," Ryden said with a smile, taking the lead by sitting in the position closest to the wall on the far right, next to Yeats.

Colin hesitated before sitting to the right of Yeats, which was also to the left of the chestnut-haired witch in the middle.

"Jacqueline Era." The chestnut-haired witch turned her head slightly toward him and calmly extended her hand after he sat down.

"Colin Leonard," Colin responded with a friendly handshake and a quiet voice.

The chestnut-haired witch nodded and then fell silent, her aura inexplicably chilly.

Her initiative in starting a conversation with Colin seemed more like a strategy to control the dialogue and prevent further topics from being broached.

Turning away, Colin felt more at ease... He wasn’t much of a socialite himself, after all.

"There are six chairs in total; there must be one person who hasn’t arrived yet," Yeats remarked.

"I thought Colin and I would be the last to arrive, but apparently, someone is even later."

However, no sooner had Ryden’s words fallen than a fair-skinned male wizard in grey robes hurried in.

"There’s only one place left, Lance, you sit next to O’Keefe."

Mill followed in, closing the door behind him as an invisible restriction immediately enveloped the space.

"Alright." Lance nodded, walked towards the only vacant seat, and smiled amiably at O’Keefe and Jacqueline at the other side.

His appearance was above average, but his fair complexion and pleasant demeanor made him seem quite sunny when he smiled.

Jacqueline nodded calmly, polite yet distant. O’Keefe, seemingly not adept at socializing, returned Lance’s greeting with a somewhat awkward smile.

"Alright, now that everyone’s here, we’ll begin the training," Mill said, moving to the high podium at the front and placing her hand on the round white crystal on the table.

Whoosh!

A screen of light suddenly appeared in midair.

"This time, during the invasion plan, our main responsibility will be setting up the Transmission Array on Lanshengxi Island..."

Colin looked at the screen, but his mind was somewhat elsewhere.

Instead of learning how to set up Transmission Arrays, he was more interested in going to Er Mountain, the large island nearby, to garner more knowledge about the Divine.

He believed that even if researching the deities entailed the risk of corruption and aberration, the wizard side must also have considerable research outcomes... That knowledge would probably be very helpful to him!

Unfortunately... whether he chose to continue participating in the invasion or not, he could only leave the bounds of Clara Castle after the completion of the invasion.

Sighing silently, Colin reined in his thoughts and listened attentively to Mill’s lecture.

He might forego the mission, but not the knowledge, especially since there was nothing else to do at the moment.

...

"That’s all for today’s training; tomorrow we will meet at the same time and place, remember to be on time," Mill announced.

Around midnight, with the close of Mill’s words, the first night of training came to an end.

"That was tough," Yeats muttered, shaking his head in a low sigh next to him. freёwebnoѵel.com

Colin was taken aback... Tough? It didn’t feel that way to him?

He slowed his movement to stand up and glanced at the other witches, then in surprise noticed that even Ryden had a slight frown on his brow.

"Oh, right, the crystals," Mill suddenly spoke up from the podium, taking out six white crystals and walking forward to distribute them while explaining:

"These crystals are connected to the library, allowing you to review the training content on your own during the daytime."

"After receiving your crystals, you may leave and then make sure to return on time tomorrow."

Colin’s heart leapt with sudden anticipation.

Connected to the library... Could it be the frontline library?

If so, didn’t it mean he could use this crystal to access more research related to the Divine?!
