"Wow, that was much easier than I thought it would be." Leon said as he stood at the edge of the dark pit and looked down. The endless darkness had brightened up a bit, but he still could not see through it entirely. 𝒇𝐫ℯ𝑒𝒘ℯ𝑏n𝑜ѵ𝐞l.c𝗼𝗺

Turning around, he looked at his small army. The undead millipedes stared at him in silence as they awaited his orders.

"Storm the tunnels and kill as many as you can." He gave them their orders, and the millipedes moved out as one. They split into three groups, with each group led by three Royal Millipedes. Only Nedra, Kaladin, and himself were left standing there.

"Is this it? Do we take down the nest today?" Nedra asked as her antennae waved around.

"Yup. In fact, we are heading straight to the breeding chamber. Lots of enemies to kill there and grind levels. Plus, we can also kill the queen and end all this. Next on the list will be the centipedes." Leon said and twirled his sword around.

"Alright, let's go." Nedra agreed with Leon's decision. She had long been ready to put an end to the Ghost Millipedes.

Leon led the way through the tunnels that were lit up by High Grade Mana Crystals. His minions had split up already, and were busy with killing the millipedes that they came across.

Scree?!

Leon crossed paths with a Ghost Millipede soldier, and he activated one of his new skills.

<Beginner Weapon Enhancement>!

His sword glowed with a bright purple shade as he raised it to slash across the head of the creature. A neat slash appeared split its head in two, and Leon could basically feel the shock radiate from it as the last specks of its consciousness dissipated into nothing.

Silence reigned through the tunnel for a few moments as Leon and Nedra stared at the glowing, blue sword. Even Kaladin was stunned to silence.

"Awesome..." Leon's eyes shone with a green glow momentarily as he grew excited. He turned and nodded to his companions before bounding down the tunnel and in the direction of the breeding chamber from his memories. Whenever he came across a millipede, he only needed a single strike to end its life, leaving its corpse sliced cleanly into two.

Before, even if he managed to take down the millipedes in one smooth motion, their thick carapace usually broke up and looked rather crude, but now, it was almost as if they were made of tofu! The effects of his new enhancing skill was too powerful! Leon could only imagine how powerful it would become if he raised its grade to a higher level.

[Beginner Weapon Mastery has leveled up to Apprentice Weapon Mastery!]

[You may now choose a secondary weapon!]

Leon's eyes widened with surprise when he killed his fourth Ghost Millipede Soldier. He had leveled up one of his first ever skills!

[Level 92 Ghost Millipede Soldier killed. You have leveled up!]

And he had also gained his first level after advancing his race this time. It took much more experience for him to level up just once than before. Now, he would probably need to farm Royal Millipedes to be able to level up as quickly as before, but he was sure that there were not as many of that caste as there were of the soldier and ordinary caste.

Leon continued killing and bulldozing his way through the tunnels. He killed the millipedes so quickly and without issue that Nedra and Kaladin could do nothing but follow from behind. The two of them exchanged a look, and even without saying anything, they could feel what the other felt. They both felt useless...

[Level 12 Royal Ghost Millipede killed. You have leveled up!]

Leon let out a breath as he looked down at the corpse of the Royal Millipede that he would have taken a bit more time to kill if it was before. Now, he had easily killed it with a single slash. He looked up and saw the opening that led into the familiar cavern that was just outside the breeding chamber.

"Are you guys ready?" He turned back to ask his companions.

"Ready." Nedra and Kaladin were of the same mind as they nodded. Arcs of lightning danced around Kaladin's robes, while Nedra's front legs created sparks as she dragged them across each other as if sharpening them.

"Good, let's go." Leon nodded and walked forward, his two companions following behind. He had already given the mental order for his undead millipedes to return straight to him, and they were already on the way.

When Leon stepped into the cavern, the first thing he noticed was that it looked like the entire place was writhing. In truth, the number of millipedes that were jampacked into the cavern was just so much that there was barely any space for them to move normally. They rubbed against each other in a way that would make one's skin crawl and give a person nightmares for days to come.

Luckily, Leon had no skin, and he was a nightmare himself. He did not fear the millipedes anymore. Not even the millipede queen would pose too much of a threat to himself now. He was sure of it.

Leon stared off against the army of Ghost Millipedes. At the very back of the mass of creatures, the queen stepped out from the breeding chamber. He grating voice rang out.

"Attack the enemy!" She screeched mentally, and the millipedes acted immediately, turning to attack Leon.

Just then, the sounds of many legs scratching over rocks filtered into the cavern through the entrance behind Leon. He kept his eyes forward as a small but strong number of undead millipedes made themselves known in the cavern. Their pitch black antennae shook and waved as they saw the enemy.

"My little army... Let none leave alive!" Leon exclaimed and pointed his sword forward at the mass of Ghost Millipedes, and his summons immediately attacked the next second!
