The Black Shadow Soul Hunter-Chapter 30 - : The Citadel of Ebril

The sunlight kissed the face of Black Shadow from the distant. He dropped down from his horse looking at the massive Citadel of Ebril in front of him. He thought to himself what a magnificent creation!

The entire premises is oval shaped area with small forts like buildings is nearly stretch with over 500 meters. Such a wonderful creation, It could be the 8th wonder of the world.

It looks stunning. Definitely a marble of work. It's like a huge emperial fortress.

"Hell of a creation. It's like the area 51. Massive and fierce."- The Black Shadows told General Naveed as his eyes were big and jaws almost dropped seeing this massive premises.

"What's area 51? Where is it? I have not heard of such place."- General Naveed asks Black Shadow wondering what's he is saying

"Is it place related with The Citadel of Ebril, place you don't know. Don't worry. Oh! No, no, not really, is a the fortress of Haim, I was actually matching with a place with it, No just saying". ."- Black Shadow told General with a smirk, he knows is in different time period. A different time period is probably more than two hundred years behind here.

"General Naveed do you know how to enter in this?"- Black Shadow asks him.

General Naveed replied, "We need a definite plan to enter into this, Yes, we have a plan. Me and my Knights and the artillery team will attack from the northern gate. You, and Yoshimizu along with Archers will attack from the frontal gate.

On the other hand, Benjir and the infantry team will be halted in the southern gate. He will wait for the reinforcement from that side, and as soon as the reinforcements will arrive he will give the signal... We all can then enter for the attack together."

Benjir came close to the General Naveed as her drops down from the horse and holing it lashes by hand he asks, "What will be the signal?

"The pike man has pigeons in a cage, so when the reinforcement come immediately you need to release them!"- General Naveed replied inspecting the fortress carefully.

"Ok, understood."- Benjir nodded his head looking at General Naveed.

So as per plan the team got divided and to attack the fortress. The northern gate was heavily fortified so General Naveed and his artillery team use canon and heavy explosives during and began to attack the Ibex army. There were Ibex army also defending the northern gate with siege towers. These siege towers were the defense system of the fortress.

General Naveed knew that, he has to destroy these towers. With his expert skill he targeted to destroy the defense mechanism of the fortress, so that it may become vulnerable.

He chose the right spot and began attacking with high artillery at the defense system. He had to destroy of the siege weapons. So, with each bombardments these towers were becoming vweak.

These canons of General Naveed caused major damage also at the gates and the walls of the fortress. His attack destroying the towers included killing the Ibex guards.

So, the Ibex army had to defend the towers. They had to open the gate to attack General Naveed's artillery. But he had placed strong attackers including himself together with many pike men and swordsmen. The battle becoming intense as the siege towers becoming weak with every minute.

General Naveed was one true leader. Had great knowledge of war! Every swords men, get ready as soon as the door opens you have to pour in with strong force. Get ready men. Get your selves ready!

The battle with this side was clearly showing that General Naveed was getting ahead with his strong artillery. Black Shadow along with Yoshimizu formed their archery team in a "v'' shape formation and began to attack from the frontal side.

Black Shadow asked the archers to aim at the Tower defended by hundreds of Ibex army from the frontal side. Ibex guards from the other side felt like rain of arrows was coming towards them. So, the Ibex army changed their strategy they began to use shield to save their army.

Soon the arrows were becoming less is number with every minute. Some of the Ibex army began to rise up to see the situation. The shields were filled with arrows and some arrows even pierced shields though that killed many of them.

The Ibex army leaders had to change their strategy! Then the Ibex army introduce a new plan to counter attack Black Shadow and his men. They went with a different plan for counterattack.

They began to use gangplank as their defense. These are weapons to attack the Black Shadow and his archers. So, the archers were decreasing by this counter attack.

It was like bloody hell, this made the archers to fall back. They need to change the plan and come up with a new strategy.

"Yoshimizu, we need to get inside, otherwise they will kill all of the kings soldiers, archers."- The Black Shadow shouted at Yoshimizu, with a grimes in his face.

"But, we were told to wait for the signal. Benjir and his infantry team are waiting in the southern gate for the reinforcement."- Yoshimizu replied.

Ok, then, but, we cannot delay much, We will lose men."- Black Shadow was becoming very anxious seeing his men going down.

The battle on the frontal side was leaded by both Black Shadow. Yoshimizu and their men were in a very defensive position as they had no artillery and not extra men than the archers. So, they had to rely on the reinforcements.

Benjir was waiting with his men in the Southern gate, while other teams of General Naveed and Black Shadow's team were fighting against the Ibex.

Suddenly Benjir saw the earth is shaking and he heard sounds of thousands of horses. He looked with at the distance.

Benjir looked at the heaven and said- "Finally, the reinforcements have arrived!"

Benjir released dozen of pigeons at both frontal and northern gate to signal both General Naveed and Black Shadow about the arrival of the reinforcement army.

Amina, Bhule along with ten thousands of knights, Horsemen with cannon, Cavalier, Rangers, Pike men and even local bandits joined in the fights. They were pouring in.

Benjir went close to Amina's caravan, he had a smile in his face and said, "Good to see you Amina!"

"Good to see you my friend". Amina replied.

Benjir added, -"Thanks, we were waiting eagerly for the reinforcements!"

Benjir went close to Bhule and Suma and embrace them with hug. He said- "Good to see you both, will you be able to join this fight?"

"My, man I was born to fight and my death will only come in a battle field. How can I let you die all by yourself"- Bhule smile while saying these words to Benjir!

"Suma, what are we waiting for? Let's attack!"- Bhule shouted at his friend.

"Canons, Artillery ready to attack the gate and the siege walls. Attack!"- Bhule Shouted at the reinforcement elite army.

All the big cannons began their bombarding with huge explosives that damaged the frontal gate

Heavy mortars were throwing huge fire into the walls of Citadel. Soon there was a huge hole that opened for the king's army to enter in the Citadel.

Bhule signaling to the King's elite army- "Knights, Cavalries, Let's go in attack! We need to support Black Shadow and his men in the frontal side."

Bhule added- "Suma and Amina, you both take the Pike men and the rangers to the frontal gate side and Bhule and I will attack with the knights and Cavalries from this side. We will make a surrounding attack so that Hakim and his men can't escape."

"It's sounds like a great plan, by the way have you gave the signal to Black Shadow and general Naveed!"- Amina asked Benjir.

"Yes, I have already made the signal as soon as you have arrived with the reinforcements."- Benjir told Amina as he has made sure everything must stick as per plan.

So, everything was going great for them, all was happening according to the plan all the elite army was separated and began attacking the Citadel with surrounding attack.
