The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 362: A Day of Friendship & Fun
Emily and Bianca were excitedly planning a special day out, and today was the day they had been eagerly waiting for. They had decided to invite Annika and Claire to join them for a girls’ day out.
"It’s so thoughtful of you." Domenic praised Emily during breakfast when she revealed her plan. Daniel was also happy and thanked her on behalf of his girlfriend.
Bianca was the first one to arrive along with Jackson and Sam. They joined Emily and her brothers in the living room and they all chit-chatted about random things.
Not long after, Annika and Claire arrived at the Alessandro Mansion as well. The air buzzed with anticipation. Bianca greeted them at the door with a warm smile, "Welcome, Annika, Claire! Everyone is in the living room. Let’s greet them all before leaving."
Annika smiled appreciatively, "Thank you for inviting us. Claire has been looking forward to this."
They followed Bianca to the living room and greeted everyone. Claire hurried straight into Daniel’s waiting arms, their pure bond melting everyone’s hearts.
"Sorellina..."
Emily was chatting with Mark when she heard Daniel calling her in a hushed tone. "What?" She asked.
Daniel didn’t reply. Instead, he took hold of her hand and pulled her away from the living room.
"What is it?" Emily asked, wondering what her brother was up to all of a sudden. Daniel signaled her to keep her voice low before he took out something from the inner pocket of his blazer and quickly put it into Emily’s hand.
Emily took a look at the object in her hand before turning a questioning gaze at her brother. "What’s this?"
"Keep it. Since you all are going out, you can..."
"Do you think I’m broke?" Emily sounded totally unimpressed as she nearly glared at her brother.
"That’s not what..."
"I’m going out with my friends like I have done numerous times in the past, and I don’t remember you ever handing me a credit card for those outings. Why feeling the sudden need today then? Because my friends this time are your girlfriend and her daughter?" Emily handed the card back to Daniel who looked at a total loss for words.
"I may not be as rich as you, but it’s still enough for me to treat my possible sister-in-law and niece to a nice day out. I don’t need you to interfere."
"Sorellina..." Daniel grabbed both of Emily’s hands and stopped her before she could have walked away. "... my bad, okay. Please forgive me this time. I... well..."
Emily let out a sigh before she patted Daniel’s hand. "It’s okay. Just don’t do it again. The two of them don’t belong to you alone."
The two returned to the living room and received questioning looks from almost everyone except for the Evans who clearly heard everything.
After a few minutes of mingling, the small group of four - Emily, Bianca, Annika, and Claire, headed to the shopping district, weaving through vibrant stores and boutiques.
Bianca couldn’t contain her excitement, "Let’s start our day with a little retail therapy! What do you think, ladies?"
Emily laughed, "Sounds like a plan! Claire, do you want to pick out something special today?"
Claire’s eyes lit up, "Yeah! Can I get a pretty dress, Mommy?" She looked hopefully at her mother.
Bianca joined in, "Absolutely! Let’s find the perfect dress for you, Claire. Not only one but you can buy as many as you want."
After a successful shopping spree, they decided to refuel with a delightful lunch at a cozy café. As they sat around the table, Annika couldn’t help but express her gratitude, "Thank you both for making this day so special for us. It means a lot."
Emily grinned, "The pleasure is all ours, Annika. Now, let’s enjoy some delicious food and continue our adventure."
With their energy replenished, the group made their way to a nearby Fun Zone. Claire’s eyes widened as they entered, taking in the colorful array of games and activities. Annika smiled, "Claire, what do you want to try first?"
Claire pointed to the carousel, "Can we ride the horsies, Mommy?"
Bianca chuckled, "Of course! Let’s go for a spin!"
As the carousel whirred to life, Claire’s laughter filled the air. Bianca turned to Annika, "This is the best girls’ day out ever! Don’t you think, Annika?"
Annika nodded, "Absolutely. Claire is having a blast, and I can’t thank you both enough for making this day so special." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
The group explored various attractions, from bumper cars to a mini roller coaster. Annika couldn’t help but be touched by the genuine joy on Claire’s face. "You’ve made her day, and mine too," she admitted while looking at Emily with gratitude.
"Don’t be so formal. You both are now family. There are going to be several more such days like these coming in near future." Emily said as she styled Claire’s hair into a bun.
Bianca grinned, "That’s what friends are for! We’re just happy to spend this time together."
As the day unfolded, the friends engaged in heartfelt conversations, sharing stories and creating memories. Claire clung to Emily’s hand, "Thank you, Aunt Emily and Aunt Bianca! Today was so much fun!"
Emily ruffled Claire’s hair, "You’re very welcome, sweetheart. We had a blast too!"
As the sun began to set, they found a cozy spot to reflect on the day. Annika sighed contentedly, "This was exactly what we needed – a day filled with laughter, joy, and friendship."
Bianca agreed, "It’s moments like these that make life beautiful. We should do this more often."
As they bid farewell, promises of future girls’ days out were exchanged. Annika hugged Emily and Bianca, "Thank you for creating such wonderful memories for us today. Claire will be talking about this for weeks!"
Emily winked, "Anytime, Annika. We’re always here for more adventures and laughter."
With hearts full of gratitude and smiles that lingered, they parted ways, cherishing the bonds of friendship that had only grown stronger throughout their special day out.
