Chapter 314: 314: Disregard

Despite the teasing words of Merath.

Despite the fact that ten wooden puppets- four big wooden puppets and six human sized wooden puppets- were surrounding him, Simon’s gaze was still calm and totally indifferent.

He looked at Merath, then he shifted his gaze to Tibat who was staring at him with anger in her eyes.

He found it...cute.

In all fairness, what she did was a good move and he could even give her flowers for thinking of doing such a thing.

However, against him?

It was pointless.

The wooden puppets were comparable to Superior Archfiends in terms of strength, and he was comparable to a Supreme Archfiend.

If he wanted, he could defeat all the wooden puppets, and he could even defeat Tibat.

However, that would be him exposing himself, and who said that he had to be the one defending himself?

Apparently, they had forgotten one of his important cards in the academy.

Bang!

Merath’s smile froze, Tibat was shaken, and Jorra’s gaze flickered the moment this explosive sound shook the air.

They watched as Agramormos was groaning in pain after crashing into two big wooden puppets and three small ones.

Bang!

Another figure crashed into a big wooden puppet, and this time around, it was Belafar.

Tibat’s expression instantly darkened the moment she saw this, and a terrible premonition filled her heart.

She turned, and just as she feared, she saw Akaza walking toward them with complete indifference in his eyes and a completely nude upper body. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Fuck." Tibat cursed, and the gears in her mind spun wildly as she tried to think of a countermeasure.

But she could not.

Although Simon had defeated Akaza with what looked like relative ease, it was because Akaza took Simon very lightly and Simon also had a lot more experience than Akaza.

There was a reason why Agramormos, Belafar, and Tibat were wary of him, and why the Iron Fangs remained till this day despite the fact that their collective quantity and quality was lower than each of their gangs.

Akaza was strong, and even Agramormos and Belafar could not defeat him together.

"What a shame. I honestly forgot about him." Merath shook her head with regret and disappointment visible in her tone.

She looked at Simon with slightly narrowed eyes.

"One day, you’ll bite off more than you can chew."

Simon glanced at her but did not give a response.

Would he bite off more than he could chew?

Probably.

Most likely.

But such thoughts were meant for the future, and not now.

Right now... everything was playing out exactly as he wanted it to play out.

Merath shook her head when she saw that Simon was not saying anything, then she looked at Tibat.

"For your sake, I’ll just give you one advice. Do not underestimate him, and do not treat him like your equal. See him as an enemy that could crush you with a single finger."

"This is just an advice. It’s up to you to know what to do with it."

Tibat frowned deeply, and Jorra appeared beside Merath.

"Let’s go." He said with an indifferent tone.

Merath glanced at him, then at Simon, nodded, then walked to the front, away from Simon and Tibat.

They passed by Akaza without giving him a glance, and Akaza too did not bother giving them a glance.

He walked forward and stood beside Simon, looking at Tibat who had a dark expression.

Tibat so much wished to stop Merath and Jorra from leaving, but Akaza’s presence prevented her from doing so.

She glared at him with gritted teeth.

"So you’ve decided to live as the slave of a slave. I thought you still had some pride and dignity left in you, Akaza."

"I can’t imagine that a talent of one of the six great clans would subject himself to living as a slave of a slave."

"I don’t know your story or the reason why you’re in the Shadowgrave Clan, but you’re more pathetic than many of us for choosing to live as a slave."

Simon calmly raised a brow at Tibat’s words, and he was a little bit surprised.

One might think that she was only mocking Akaza because she was furious at the fact that he tricked her, but that was not the case.

Simon could guess what she was trying to do, and he was curious to see if it would work.

’She wants to make Akaza angry so that he can attack me or betray me. I guess this is her last card?’

He glanced at Akaza, and he saw that his gaze was dark, but even after six seconds passed, he did nothing and said nothing.

’Hmm.’

Simon was about to speak, but Akaza suddenly spoke.

"I hope you remember these words when you either become a corpse or my personal sex slave."

Tibat’s heart skipped a beat, and a flicker of fear flashed in her eyes when she heard this.

Simon shook his head, then he turned and began to walk away.

He had nothing to say to Tibat or the injured Agramormos or the unconscious Belafar.

They were tools who had fulfilled a portion of his goal, but they still had a few other portions to fill.

’Now, I just need a big fish or fishes to take the bait. I hope the net I cast was wide enough.’

Akaza glanced at Simon, then he glanced at Tibat one last time before following Simon.

Tibat felt so much rage watching Simon walk away without even saying a single word to her, and for the first time in a long time, she roared in fury.

"ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

"I WON’T FORGET THIS, SLAVE! WATCH YOUR BACK CAUSE I’M COMING FOR YOU!"

Simon indifferently waved his hand without even sparing her a glance.

"Get in the back of the line. Others arrived before you, and...you’re honestly too weak."

Tibat froze, and she instantly felt lost.

What sort of disregard was this?

When had she felt like this?

She was not an elite of the Second Years, but she was regarded as one of the talents of her class.

Who was Simon to disregard her like a piece of trash?
