The CEO's Substitute Ex-Wife-Chapter 125: I Want This
Chapter 125: I Want This
She was about to help him up when Ye Feimo shook his head, leaning uncomfortably on her shoulder, his voice hoarse. "I’ll be... fine in a moment."
"What do you mean, ’fine in a moment’? You’re in so much pain! Can we please go to the hospital?" Wen Nuan was almost in tears. He looked truly awful, so uncomfortable. To see someone so cold, so strong, suddenly weakened and vulnerable before you, the impact was immense.
Wen Nuan’s heart ached, and she almost shed tears, completely at a loss as to how to ease his suffering.
He was born with a silver spoon, never worried about food, and Mrs. Ye seemed to care deeply for him, so why did he have such a severe stomach condition? Wen Nuan caressed his face, her heart aching so much she couldn’t utter a word, only able to hold him tightly.
A long moment passed...
His body trembled less violently, but he remained silent, resting his head on Wen Nuan’s shoulder as if it were the most natural thing. She worried he might have fainted from the pain, calling his name several times, but Ye Feimo didn’t respond.
Wen Nuan grew anxious, thinking he had passed out, and insisted on helping him up to go to the emergency room.
Ye Feimo wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled, making her sit down. "I’m fine now!"
After taking the stomach medicine, he wasn’t feeling as uncomfortable.
"Are you really not in pain anymore?"
Ye Feimo didn’t answer, seemingly enjoying holding her like this. With her soft warmth in his arms, his heart was wild with joy, utterly delighted.
Wen Nuan wiped the cold sweat from his face. He looked quite frightening when he had an attack.
"Ye Feimo, since you’re not in pain anymore, eat something. You didn’t eat dinner, and you drank a lot on an empty stomach, didn’t you?" Wen Nuan couldn’t help but glare. No matter how busy she was with work, she always made sure to prepare meals for him unless absolutely forced not to, fearing he might have an attack.
Although Cheng Anya had mentioned his stomach condition was very serious, she had never seen him have an attack before, and he always seemed so robust. She had harbored some doubts, but they were now completely gone. Ye Feimo’s stomach condition was truly very, very serious.
From now on, no matter how busy she was, as long as she was home, she would research medicinal diets to nourish his stomach.
She couldn’t let him suffer another attack.
It must be incredibly painful.
Wen Nuan had long forgotten that they had just been arguing, an argument that made her want to pick up Ye Feimo and throw him into the Huaijiang River. Now, all she felt was worry, fearing he would experience pain again.
Ye Feimo simply hummed in response. Wen Nuan became annoyed. "You really are something! You know your body isn’t well, so why don’t you eat? And drinking on an empty stomach? Are you trying to die? If you want to die, I can grant your wish, but why destroy your own body?"
Wen Nuan didn’t notice that her tone sounded a little like his wife’s.
A hint of a smile flickered in Ye Feimo’s deep eyes as he gazed intently at her. This girl must have been terrified just now, even forgetting her anger. This illness truly came at the right time.
She felt a little embarrassed under his gaze. Ye Feimo asked, "In what capacity are you lecturing me?"
"What?" Wen Nuan was a bit stunned. Ye Feimo’s tone was consistently cool, carrying an unapproachable aloofness. His question left Wen Nuan feeling rather foolish.
She subconsciously found it laughable. All her anxiety, all her worry, all her heartache, in his eyes, amounted to nothing.
Ye Feimo said, "You’re not my mother, and you’re not my wife, so in what capacity are you lecturing me?"
Wen Nuan was even more bewildered.
Ye Feimo was right. In what capacity was she lecturing him? How he chose to mistreat his body was his own business. Why was she being so meddlesome? She would even be disliked for it.
Wen Nuan felt a little hurt and found Ye Feimo to be too unfeeling. If she hadn’t been there, no one would have known if he had an attack and died. Wen Nuan gazed wistfully at the flowing waters of the Huaijiang River and said indifferently, "Don’t worry, I won’t care about you anymore. Never again."
As she spoke, her heart inexplicably felt a little wronged.
Wen Nuan felt embarrassed and stood up to leave. Ye Feimo pulled her, and she stumbled into his embrace. Wen Nuan was exasperated. "Let go of me! What exactly do you want?"
"I want this." Ye Feimo smiled alluringly, lifted her up, and kissed her lips.
This kiss was without the intensity of the storm they’d just had, without any fervor or lust. It was simply a kiss, a very simple, pure kiss.
On the large screen across the Huaijiang River, the 5203 advertisement appeared so frequently. Wen Nuan’s eyes caught the numbers, and a sweet warmth filled her heart, like the donuts she had bought.
This kiss was so gentle.
He sucked on her lips, pried open her teeth, and gently teased her delicate tongue. Wen Nuan’s anger and embarrassment completely melted away in the tender kiss, leaving only a sweet scent lingering in her nostrils.
She wrapped her arms around Ye Feimo’s neck, returning his kiss.
He paused, opening his eyes to look at her face so close to his. He could see her delicate eyelashes gently trembling, brushing against his heart and stirring a pang of emotion.
This was the first time Wen Nuan had responded to his kiss in a way that truly conveyed her feelings.
After the kiss, Ye Feimo held her, unwilling to let go.
"Let me up," Wen Nuan mumbled. He had just had an attack; wasn’t it difficult for him to still be holding her?
"Wen Nuan, you’re really foolish," Ye Feimo said softly, pecking her lips. She couldn’t even understand what he meant by his previous statement; not only did she not understand, she misunderstood.
How could she be so foolish?
"You’re the foolish one! I always get first place in my exams," Wen Nuan proudly presented her excellent academic record to prove her intelligence.
Ye Feimo chuckled...
"Wife," he murmured. Yes, he liked that address.
"Let go, get up. You need to eat," Wen Nuan pushed his hands away. Being held by Ye Feimo like this, sitting suggestively on his lap, the position was incredibly ambiguous, and her mind had short-circuited.
She couldn’t think of anything.
She noticed his strong perfume scent and felt a little uncomfortable. Where had this guy been just now?
The mix of perfume and alcohol suggested he had been somewhere questionable; a respectable place wouldn’t have such a smell.
"What is this?" Ye Feimo looked at the item Wen Nuan handed him with a speechless expression.
Wen Nuan looked at it and burst into laughter. "Cute, right? Isn’t it cute? These are the new Hello Kitty donuts from Japan! Aren’t they adorable? When I first saw them, I thought they looked especially nice and cute."
These donuts were particularly artistic, shaped like Hello Kitty. They were a new product she had seen advertised in a magazine. She heard they were very popular and delicious recently, but she hadn’t tried them herself.
