The CEO's Wife Is Super Charming-Chapter 329 - 326: Another Group
Cameron Southwell clung tightly to Shane Southwell. Seeing a lull, he quickly crawled up from the ground.
Just as he wanted to call out to Scar, Scar shouted in Vietnamese, "To the hillside over here, prepare for combat."
With that, Cameron hurriedly pulled along the somewhat dazed Shane, following Scar, not caring about the shouts from the people behind him.
While retreating, Cameron stole a glance back. On the other side of the ravine, the muzzle flashes were continuous, and the gunfire here was deafening.
He reached out to tug Scar, who glanced back at him, pointing toward the ravine behind them, but Cameron couldn’t make out a word of what Scar said.
But seeing Scar’s men retreating down the ravine, he quickly followed, not forgetting to pull Shane into his embrace as they ran.
"Dad? Who are those people?" Shane asked, his voice trembling, clearly terrified, his face as pale as a sheet.
Cameron looked around, too preoccupied to answer his son, only snapping, "Be quiet."
Following Scar, they took a detour through another ravine from where they were first attacked and barely paused.
At that moment, Scar’s eyes were filled with fierceness, pointing to one side, he said, "Go down this way, that’s our turf."
Cameron followed Scar’s finger with his gaze and finally asked, "Who were those people just now?"
As he spoke, he kept looking back, afraid they’d be chased.
Scar pulled out a lighter, lit a cigarette, and said to his men, "Stay vigilant back there!"
Then he looked at Cameron and said, "From their gear, they’re not from our side. Three Hands told me a batch of mercenaries arrived last night from South Africa, must be them. When we get back, we’ll bring men to finish them off."
As he spoke, the lookout at the back rushed over, and Scar threw the cigarette on the ground, stomping it out fiercely, saying "Move!"
He gestured for the people in front to scout ahead and had the remaining survivors behind Cameron follow at the rear.
Cameron thought for a moment, not even glancing at the people behind, pulling Shane and Scar to walk in the middle.
Meanwhile, Luna lay on a hilltop, covered with a pile of branches, seeing Cameron and the attackers leaving.
She planned to leave after they did, to go to city X to gather her forces. Unexpectedly, after a few minutes, explosions and gunfire erupted from the group’s front.
She was suspicious, wondering if another group was involved.
It seemed she needed to have Black Dragon investigate what was going on thoroughly!
She thought she was the only one wanting to take down Shane, but first, there was a supporting group, then an attacking group, and now another group showed up!
After waiting for quite a while, Cameron’s group returned, looking like they had been defeated.
They retreated to the hillside below her, and then the group stopped, seemingly preparing to rest.
She couldn’t hear what the people below were chattering about, and only rested for two minutes before they began to withdraw down the mountain.
With sharp eyes, she immediately spotted Shane and Cameron in the middle of the group.
Thinking swiftly, she decisively drew her gun and fired, not even checking if she hit, she quickly rolled down the mountain toward another side.
Sure enough, as soon as she left, her previous position was showered with bullets, she cursed her luck and rapidly scrambled back to her starting point, rolling and crawling.
Gunfire erupted behind her, indicating Cameron’s men had engaged the pursuers again.
She had no idea if her shot had hit.
